Judy didn't understand the rationale behind Tobias' question. “He's my dad. Do you know him? He died

many years ago. I keep his picture in my wallet just to remember what he looks like.”

Tobias didn't answer. Sitting in the front passenger seat, he stared out the car window and saw a

grocery store with its lights still on. Inside, he could see that a group of people playing cards still.

Lowering his head, he lit a cigarette in silence.

The scent of tobacco triggered Judy's addiction, driving her to ask Tobias for a smoke.

Subsequently, he threw the cigarette and lighter to the back. When she saw that he was smoking Nat

Shermans, it challenged her understanding of the rich. She had assumed he would smoke something a

lot more expensive. Evidently, his cigarette choice didn't match his status at all.

After Judy went back to her apartment, Tobias ordered Pete to drive home. He never knew that Truman

had a daughter, for no one had ever mentioned such a thing before.

With a cigarette in his hand, he checked his phone with the other. Even though it was already two in the

morning, Skylar didn't even send him a message asking him to come home. She was obviously better

at controlling her emotions now.

In the beginning, she would just tell him everything. But as time went on, she only contacted him when

necessary and was no longer clingy. Even though this was what he wished for her, he couldn't help but

feel disappointed when she actually achieved it.

Naturally, he couldn't help but admit how despicable humans were.

When Pete assumed Tobias wanted to return to where Skylar was, the latter ordered him to turn

around and drive to where Sheldon was.

Despite claiming that he was on his way to see Winnie, Sheldon was clicking furiously on his mouse in

a cybercafé. At the same time, he was boasting to his friends about how accurate his marksmanship

Turning around to scold whoever it was, he attempted to explain when he realized it was Tobias. “I'll be

going home soon.”

Nevertheless, Tobias called him out of the cybercafé, which he had done so countless times over the

years. Ever since he started schooling, Sheldon had constantly skipped classes to play online games.

Although Tobias didn't know much about games, Sheldon was very good at them. In fact, rumors of

Sheldon splurging on games were widespread throughout the internet. Sometimes, he would spend

tens of millions on a game which was usually enough to rescue a struggling gaming company.

While Sheldon followed Tobias to the cybercafé's break room, the latter looked out of place in his office

wear.

Subsequently, Sheldon brought two bowls of instant pasta over. As he lowered his head and dug in,

Tobias didn't touch the food. Instead, he continued to smoke and tapped his cigarette on the ashtray in

front.

“How did you get to know Judy?”

Sheldon almost spewed out his food in response. All this while, he had wondered if his brother had a

thing for Cinderellas, especially after getting together with someone who epitomized the character. As a

result, he wondered if Tobias had his eye on Judy.

Nevertheless, he ruled out the possibility after further thought, for Tobias was someone with higher

standards. Even though Judy had decent looks she still paled in comparison to Skylar.

He sniggered, “Tobias, are you asking about her because you intend to have some fun with her, or did

you already do so when you sent her home just now?”
