Skylar dropped her toast in surprise when she saw Miranda entering the password and coming in

“Skylar requested for this meal herself. It's a very common diet for women who wish to control their

calorie intake. I'm not slacking off or anything,” Madelyn explained with a frown as she came out of the

kitchen.

Miranda simply rolled her eyes at Madelyn in response as she thought to herself. Honestly, Skylar is

being a little too nice to this housekeeper! How is this breakfast any different from what inmates get in

prison? I had a feeling Skylar wasn't eating well! Luckily, I bought her some food before coming over!

She then served up the poached salmon and omelet that she had bought and motioned for Skylar to

eat up.

“You came early today. Were you having trouble sleeping or something?” Skylar asked as she sat down

beside her.

“Hey, I wake up early every single day! I figured you weren't eating well since Tobias is away on a

business trip, so I decided to bring you breakfast!” Miranda replied.

Skylar was surprised at how well-informed Miranda was. On top of that, she found herself unused to

Miranda's sudden display of motherly affection.

“Look at the trouble Tobias has gotten himself into now. Five people have died! Has he contacted you

about this incident?” Miranda continued.

“He gave me a call, but he didn't go into detail about it,” Skylar replied while stuffing a piece of that

Frustrated at the thought of that, Miranda lectured Skylar, “You aren't busy with filming lately, are you?

keep this up, Tobias is going to get sick of you and leave you someday! You two have been together for
