Penelope was not surprised at all. When he was a student, Jeremy was already well-known for his ability to charm the ladies.

Skylar was naive when Penelope told her that Jeremy was flirting with several women, but Skylar chose to have faith in their unwavering affection for each other.

She remembered clearly that Skylar used to plan excitedly when she and Jeremy would get married, and she would tell Penelope that once they were married, they would raise a dog and have two children since having simply a child was too lonely.

Jeremy, on the other hand, came from a poor family and had a terrible personality, with his only saving grace being his good looks.

Penelope had always believed that the reason why Skylar could recover quickly from the breakup was due entirely to Tobias since he never allowed her to feel the anguish from the breakup and that she wouldn't experience the feeling of lost love.

Nevertheless, Penelope was not as fortunate as Skylar was. Despite her desire to use the baby to tie Brayden down, he refused to acknowledge their relationship and decided to cut all ties with her.

Eventually, Penelope was unable to meet a man who could shower her with concern. She was still alone, struggling to make ends meet.

Gazing pitifully at the rich heiress whom Skylar had just mentioned, the girl was quite pretty, with luscious and thick hair that Penelope was envious of. She had a doll-like face as well. It's a shame that she met a jerk. I'm sure she'll come to regret it later on.

When Skylar went to the restroom, Grace followed behind her. Grace then emerged unexpectedly behind Skylar as she stood in front of the mirror to touch up her makeup. Nonchalantly, Skylar slid her lipstick back into her makeup bag.

Grace noticed that the lipstick Skylar used was from Ideal Verve. Even kids in elementary school won't think of using such a low-cost brand.

“I know everything about you and Jeremy. Are you still keeping in contact with him? I'm his current girlfriend.”

Grace was anxious to stake her claim on Jeremy as if someone else was trying to steal him away from her.

Skylar considered warning Grace not to get too involved with Jeremy since she would be the one to lose the most and that Skylar was a living example of what had happened.

After giving it some thought, she decided not to do so. After all, a woman who was madly in love would never listen to such things. She would be upset if anyone said anything else, as the woman might believe that the ex-girlfriend still had feelings for her boyfriend and was attempting to sow discord in their relationship.

With a calm voice, Skylar said, “I know you're Jeremy's girlfriend. Since you love your boyfriend so much, it's impossible that I would take the initiative to contact him. You can rest assured that we have no personal contact with each other.”

Still doubtful of Skylar's remarks, Grace warned Skylar as she was about to leave the restroom, “Jeremy loves me the most now.”

Skylar chuckled in amusement. Trying hard not to burst into laughter, she replied indifferently, “I don't care who he loves. He's a stranger to me anyway. Just don't worry about it.”

However, Grace suddenly said, “You must be very resentful that Jeremy dumped you.”

Skylar shrugged and replied, “Just ask him how I feel, then. He's someone who's not afraid to badmouth about his ex-girlfriends behind their backs!”

Grace was offended by Skylar's unintentional remark. Defending her boyfriend, she sneered, “Don't you dare accuse him wrongfully about it! He has never said anything bad about you. It was all your fault that the two of you split up. You were the one who did not cherish this relationship, so don't blame him for dumping you. I heard that you're still recovering from the breakup, aren't you? Don't expect Jeremy to get back together with you. He belongs to me alone, and there is no place for anyone else but me.”
