Lily’s POV

“How do you know their names?” I asked in shock.

She didn’t say anything but just kept on staring at me.From NôvelDrama.Org.

“Tell me something more about them.” She added after a minute pause.

“But-”

“Just tell me.”

I nodded my head. Okay. Here we go.

“You know Dennis is younger than Jack. They both always protected me from everything. Not for once I felt absence of my mother because they were always by my side. But they ruined my dating life by being too overprotective. They always made sure that no guy can come near me. I’ll tell you one incident. Once after having permission from they I went to my friend’s house for a party and one handsome guy came to me smiling, he asked me for my number and I happily gave him. But what I didn’t know was that my brothers were also at the party and were watching me intently. As soon as they saw that guy, they knocked him out by throwing a punch and that’s how my dating life was ruined since that day because after that no guy came near me.” I laughed.

I thought she will find it funny she didn’t. Instead tears started streaming down her face.

“Hey. Hey. What happened?” I asked in concern.

“Y-you needed a kidney transplantation, didn’t you?” She questioned.

The fuck? How did she know this much about me?

Maybe Adrain told her.

I guess.

But then why she’s crying?

“Yes, I needed a transplant. But why are you asking so?”

She didn’t say anything just cried. I thought of calling Adrain but the fear that he’ll do something to me knowing that I made her sister cry stopped me from doing so.

“Why are you crying?” I asked.

She put a hand above my kidney and cried further. I felt weird and shifted away from her. Okay that was totally unexpected. I guess I should call Adrain.

I rush downstairs and found him cooking food.

“Adrain.”

“Yes.”

“Sarah”

“What, Sarah?” He asked getting serious.

“She’s crying.”

“What?” He quickly stopped cooking and ran upstairs.

I followed him too and when we reached her room, we found it locked from inside.

Adrain gets tensed and knocked on the door. “Sarah, open the door.”

“Sarah, fucking open the door.” He screamed.

After she didn’t open the door, he turned to me. His tired eyes filled with anger stared straight into mine. “What did you do?”

“Nothing… I just…”

“I JUST WHAT, DAMNIT?”

“I just told her about my brothers.” I answered taking a step away from him.

He looked at me in disbelief and then facepalm himself.

“What happened?” I asked now getting confused.

He pushed me aside ruthlessly which made me fall on the floor and he tried to break open the door. After he was successful he rushed inside the room and suddenly his scream came to me. “SARAH.”

I quickly stood up and went inside the room only to find that she has cut her veins. My breathing became abnormal as I watched her in horror.

“Why Sarah?” Adrain cried while taking her in arms.

” L-Lily… Your… Mantra- d-din’t work…” She shuttered.

I licked my dry lips and decided to quickly call 911.

I waited impatiently for some news from Adrain. Is Sarah okay? Or she’s… No No. No. She must be okay. She has to be okay.

But why the fuck did she commit suicide? Was it because of me mentioning about my brothers? And how did she know that I had a kidney transplantation? Isn’t it strange? And about my brothers, how did she know their name? This all is too confusing.

Adrain told me that his parents died in a fire. There’s no way that my brothers had killed them then? I mean he would’ve told me if the story was so.

After 3 hours 23 minutes and 47 seconds, Adrain returned to the house. Yep, I counted that.

I quickly rush to him and was about to ask him that how is she but he told me already. “She’s fine.”

A breath of relief passed down my lungs and then only I saw Adrain’s face. Tears were gathered in his eyes and the broken look on his face told me that he was really hurt. I thought he was going to hug me or something but instead he grabbed my wrist and after cornering me to the wall, he asked. “What’s your worst fear?”

I got confused and was about to ask him to explain before he said further. “Fire. water or Height?”

Oh that.

I licked my lips. “You know I’ve Acrophobia and Hydrophobia. And-”

“Come with me.” He cut me in middle.
