Chapter 84: He cheated on you!
Severo watched her for a couple of seconds, swallowed the cucumber slice in his mouth and went back to what he was doing.
Allyce stood in front of the sink and received the hand on her back and gently twisted it twice.
He felt as if his fingertips were electrified, a bit wooden, and he panicked terribly.
As he walked away, Severo’s voice rang out again: “Are you hungry?
He turned his head and there was Severo’s profile, his head hanging as he concentrated on cutting the meat, looking elegant even in a kitchen full of smoke and mirrors.
Allyce said nothing.
“They left your breakfast on the table, bring it here and heat it up, have some for your tummy.” Severo put the minced meat on his plate.
Long fingers gripped the handle of the knife and the chopper came down flat against the board, the blade scraping forward, while the other hand pushed the meat, roughly, over the chopping board and onto the plate.
All the movement was sharp and deft, which reminded Allyce of a food programme she had once seen, in which the chef had excellent knife skills, and watching it Allyce felt the urge to learn how to cook.
“I can’t get my hands on her, so go warm her up yourself.” Severo saw her hesitation and thought she didn’t want to do it herself, so he reminded her.
Allyce shook her head hastily, “I’m not very hungry either, I’ll wait for you to finish.
Severo looked at her, put aside the dishes he had washed, sorted the ingredients and then spoke to her: “Sal, it’s all done”.
Allyce had to turn around and leave.
…
After lunch, Neto left.
Severo took Allyce back to his small flat to collect his things.
Once the car was parked, Allyce turned her head to look at him: “I’ll go up, you wait here for a moment.
“Get in together.” Severo opened the car door on the other side and got out, lifting his foot and walking in front of Allyce.
Allyce’s refusal stuck in her throat, so she followed him up the stairs.
Probably because she knew that Severo no longer had that kind of intention towards her, she was not so reckless in front of him now.
He had always started to restrain his words and actions.
As the two exited the lift, Ula Cabello arrived from the opposite direction, looking as if she was about to leave.
She saw Allyce walking in front of her first, and with a grunt she was about to say something when she saw Severo behind her.
Ula Cabello’s face hardened at the thought of Severo’s unforgiving words last time.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
He thought back to the way he had seen Allyce come back in the middle of the night dressed unflatteringly the other day and calculated.
“Where did you go, did you just come back?” Ula Cabello offered a nod to Allyce and then looked at Severo with mock surprise, “Is your husband back too?”
Both Allyce and Severo ignored her.
But Ula Cabello played it cool: “It’s good that your husband is back, it saves you coming back alone in the middle of the night and not having anyone to open the door for you and pour you a glass of water, like us single people who don’t go out in the middle of the night …”.
Allyce frowned, she knew Ula Cabello was referring to the last time.
He did not care what Ula Cabello had to say and turned his head towards Severo, seeing that he was calm and reassuring.
Somehow, suddenly, she feared he was thinking more about it.
Without looking any further at Ula Cabello, Severo took two steps forward and grabbed Allyce’s hand, pulling her forward.
Ula Cabello’s face was hard to read when she saw that, after half a day of chatting, these two people completely ignored her.
He turned to Severo and said loudly and reluctantly: “Two weeks ago, your wife came back from outside in the middle of the night in men’s clothes and cheated on you!
After saying that, he lifted his chin, thinking he had made a quick move, and waited for Severo to get rid of Allyce’s hand and for the two of them to have a big fight.
Severo sniffed and literally stopped in his tracks.
The first two weeks?
Was that the day he had first taken her to Cloud Bay?
Allyce wondered what he was thinking and wanted to open his mouth to explain, but felt it would be redundant to do so.
Severo turned to Ula Cabello, a faint smile spilling into his eyes: “It doesn’t matter if she cuckolds me, at least her person is still with me now”.
With that, he turned his head and smiled at Allyce.
Allyce was electrified by this smile for a moment and then felt a shiver run up her spine.
When Ula Cabello heard Severo’s words, her eyes filled with disbelief and she pointed at Severo, unable to speak, “You …”.
After biting his tongue for a long time, he only managed to squeeze out two words: “Psychopath!
Just then another lift arrived and Ula Cabello stepped firmly into it.
Severo pulled Allyce to the door of his flat and, seeing that she still didn’t seem to have recovered, he squeezed her fingers: “Open the door”.
“Oh.” Allyce snapped back to attention and withdrew her hand from his broad palm before going to her purse in search of her keys.
It had only been one night since she had been home and Allyce felt like she was a world away.
“Go pack your things”.
Once inside, Severo told him this before taking a seat on the sofa.
Allyce hurried to pour him a glass of water and turned to collect her own things.
Again, he couldn’t help but stare at Severo in silence, his mind reeling from what he had just said.
-I’m cuckolded and it doesn’t matter, at least his person is still with me now.
Why did he think Severo didn’t seem like such a generous person to gore?
Allyce just picked up some clothes and daily necessities and headed down the hallway, “Let’s go.”
Severo turned his head to look at her, his eyes fell on the suitcase she was holding and his brow furrowed, “This is all you have?
“This is usually enough, and besides, I see you have a lot of time on weekends…” Allyce’s voice interrupted in the middle of her gaze.
In fact, it seemed a bit petty for him to move specifically to look after a puppy, but he was the one who had saved her life, so he had a say in what happened.
Severo gave her a sidelong glance and, without further ado, got up and took the suitcase in his hand and headed for the door.
“It’s not heavy, I can carry it myself.” Allyce grabbed it in a hurry.
Severo said no more and took off on his long legs, striding outwards, walking so fast and furiously that Allyce had to trot behind him, dragging the suitcase behind him to keep up.
The suitcase was a bit big and full of stuff, so it didn’t feel heavy when he dragged it, but when he went downstairs, he struggled to carry it and put it in the boot.
It was heavy.
Severo was already in the car.
Would it help?
But she had just said it wasn’t heavy.
Severo sat in the driver’s seat and looked at Allyce in the rear-view mirror, seeing her embarrassed face and not coming to him for help, his face darkened slightly.
As she did not come to him for help, he did not approach her and shouted in the background: “Hurry up”.
