Flora lazily lifted her right hand, made a fist, and bumped it gently. "Come on, Flora!"

The rest of Team Austenberg chimed in, cheering Flora on.

Meanwhile, Joy felt a bit left out. She was about to compete too-why wasn't anyone rooting for her? Why was all the attention on Flora? Feeling a bit miffed, she made her way to the stage, only to realize that everyone's eyes seemed to be fixed on someone behind her. And behind her was only Flora.

When the announcer called out "Flora," the entire audience, without missing a beat, turned their attention to her. Their eyes tracked her every move, completely captivated. Flora was undeniably the star of the show.

No matter how the competition played out, she was already worthy of admiration. Just having the guts to step up and compete earned her respect. Besides, everyone had witnessed Flora's stellar performances in the prior rounds. Among over a hundred teams and countless competitors, who could hold a candle to Flora?

"Go, Flora!"

Once Flora took her place on stage, the crowd erupted in cheers! The sound of hundreds of voices filled the venue, echoing again and again. It was truly moving! Even the announcer was taken aback; despite hosting numerous medical competitions, this was a first for him. He marveled at Ms. Flora's immense popularity. After all, talent commands respect wherever it goes. Not to mention, Flora was competing while injured. That alone was enough to inspire admiration!

Flora was taken by surprise; she wasn't used to such overwhelming support, as criticism usually outweighed cheers in her experience. This was a bit overwhelming for her.

"The competition will last thirty

minutes. All participants must follow the system prompts. Any questions? Once we start, there's no stopping the announcer said. After a brief pause to see if anyone responded, he declared, "Alright then, let the competition-" He paused dramatically before exclaiming, "Begin!"

As his words hung in the air, the timer started ticking. All competitors focused intently on the task ahead. In front of each was a mannequin, and nearby, a tray filled with surgical instruments. The system began issuing instructions.

"Please complete a venous cannulation in five minutes," the prompt instructed. The first task wasn't too challenging, so most competitors wrapped it up in about four minutes. Flora, however, took her sweet time, finishing just ten seconds before the deadline. "Looks like Flora's hand injury is really affecting her, just barely making the cut," someone remarked.

"Are you kidding? Didn't you notice she was doing it with one hand?" another chimed in.

"Flora is seriously impressive, pulling it off with one hand... But as the tasks get tougher, handling them one-handed is going to be a tall order."

Flora's left hand was injured, so she barely used it only picking up tools when necessary. All the intricate work was done with her right hand. While venous cannulation isn't considered overly complex, truth be told, doing it with one hand is nearly impossible.

"All competitors, please complete a pancreatoduodenectomy within ten minutes," came the next prompt. The announcement sent ripples through the crowd. Had they misheard? A pancreatoduodenectomy!
