Chapter 875
"Not at all," Flora replied with a warm smile, letting out a gentle laugh.
...
Over at the Reyes family, there was still a lot to sort out. Connor left a team to help clean up the mess and then took Flora back to the villa. Flora was lost in her thoughts, staying silent on the drive back.
Raul and Henrik exchanged quiet glances. Her silence left them at a loss for words.
Were they the reason Flora wasn't saying anything? Was she upset because they had hidden things from her?
Their nerves were on edge.
Truth be told, they were unsure how to move forward with Flora.
They had kept secrets, and Flora had uncovered them.
She now knew they weren't her biological family. So, what now?
Their minds were heavy with these concerns, and their steps were slow and burdened.
Back at the villa, they made their way upstairs to the bedrooms.
Flora probably didn't want to see them, so heading straight to their rooms seemed like the best idea.
That's when Flora picked up on their mood. She realized her demeanor had given them the wrong impression.
"I didn't have lunch. I'm starving," she suddenly announced.
"What do you feel like eating?" Connor asked.
It was already past two in the afternoon. She had been at the Reyes place causing a commotion since before ten and hadn't eaten a thing.
No wonder she was hungry.
"I don't want anything you make," Flora said as she flopped onto the couch, calling out to Raul and Henrik, who were about to enter their rooms at the top of the stairs. "I want Dad's sweet and sour pork chops!" She made sure her voice was loud enough for Raul and Henrik to hear.
Their hands froze on the doorknobs.
"And I want the watermelon juice my brother makes!"
"Dad, bro, did you hear me?" Flora pressed on. "I'm really hungry. Could you make me something to eat, please?"
Before she finished, Raul and Henrik turned around and rushed down the stairs to her.
"Of course! Besides sweet and sour pork chops, what else do you fancy?"
"I'd love some spicy fish, some boiled beef slices, stir-fried noodles, and chicken salad..."
"We can whip all that up! No problem!" Raul's eyes lit up with excitement.
"Little sis, what else do you want to drink?

Watching them, Flora's eyes danced with a soft smile. "Hmm... but I just remembered, it's not watermelon season right now."
"I'll have them flown in!" Henrik declared without missing a beat. "No more than an hour, I promise!"
If his little sister wanted it, they would make it happen. No matter how rare or pricey, they'd get it for her! "Alright, watermelon juice it is," Flora chuckled softly. "Dad, bro, will you always spoil me like this?" "Always! You're our little princess forever!"
"The greatest blessing is being your brother," Henrik said with a gentle yet firm voice.
Hearing this, Flora's eyes crinkled with a smile. "And you'll always, always be my dearest family."
...
Karter was savvy. After securing the
elbe
miracle drug, he gave three pills to each head of the families who
helped the Reyes family that day.
QUMS
Worried about drawing too much attention, he asked them to keep it on the down-low.
But the whole affair with the Reyes family was too big to keep under wraps.
Somehow, word spread, and soon every family on Lone Island knew about it.
"You hear that? The Reyes family handed out three miracle drugs? Three?!"
Damn, they didn't get a single one, and the Reyes family was dishing out three like it was nothing?!
Did the Reyes family hit the jackpot or find some powerful ally?
"Yeah, that's right! Three! No mistake!"
"Dang! If I'd known there were three miracle drugs up for grabs, I'd have been there too!"
