Chapter 917
"Where are my sister and Mr. Youth off to?"
Adrian was right in the middle of his workout when he noticed Flora and Youth climbing into a car together, and curiosity got the best of him.
"Mr. Youth said he wanted the young miss to show him the ropes..." Andy replied, his face a mix of emotions he couldn't quite describe.
Adrian scratched his head, mulling it over. "Does Mr. Youth really trust my sister that much?" Sure, she was a whiz at racing, but teaching someone else? That seemed like a tall order.
"He's probably just trying to keep the young miss happy," Andy mused.
"Yeah, that's what I figured."
Suddenly, their conversation was interrupted by a frustrated yell that could wake the dead: "I'll call you my brother, alright? What's up with you? How many times have I explained this, and you still don't get it!" Adrian and Andy rushed over to see what was happening.
...
Youth was trying his hand at driving, while Flora stayed put, waiting.
"Ms. Flora..." came a choked voice.
Flora glanced up.
One of the coaches was looking at her with eyes that were almost pleading: "Please, we need your help."
Flora raised an eyebrow, confused by the scene.
There stood a young man, head hung low, looking like he was about to cry, while several coaches seemed at their wits' end.
"Coach..."
"No, you're my coach! I'll call you dad if I have to!" One coach exclaimed in exasperation, clutching his head in disbelief. "How can you not get it? I've spelled it out so clearly."C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.
In all their years of teaching, they'd never encountered a student quite like this.
The young man had been reprimanded so much, his head was practically touching the ground.
Adrian tried to smooth things over: "Coach, don't lose your cool... He'll get it with more practice."
"Three days, it's been three whole days. I've been going over the angles for taking corners for three days, and you say take it easy!"
The coach looked like he was about to have a meltdown when he spotted Flora approaching, as if she were his last hope: "Ms. Flora, you have to save me!"
He worried he might burst a blood vessel from all the stress.
"Ms. Flora, please, you should teach the kid yourself," the other coaches chimed in.
The kid was driving them up the wall, making them question their career choices. "Alright," Flora agreed. Since Youth wasn't back yet, she could step in and help. The young man felt a pang of disappointment.
It seemed the coaches had truly given up on him, passing him off to the young miss. He admitted he was a bit slow on the uptake...
"Coach, please, just give him a few more tries. He'll catch on, don't hand
him over to the young miss
Andy couldn't help but jump in, thinking if even the top-notch
coaches couldn't teach the kid, Flora stepping in might make things
worse.
Had the coach really thrown in the towel?
"It's because I want him to learn that I'm handing him over to Ms. Flora! No one else can teach him like she can!"
The coach was out of arguments,
worried that if they kept talking,
Flora might get offended and refuse to help. Without missing a beat, he hustled the young man and Elora into the car.
Just then, Youth drove up and looked like he'd seen a ghost.
Why was Flora getting into someone else's car?! Who had swooped in and stolen his chance?!
"This kid finally has a shot," the coaches thought, oblivious to the fact they might've just crossed their own boss. Watching Flora and the young man get into the car, they felt a wave of relief. en NovelDrama.Org
Andy couldn't resist a sideways glance at the coach, wondering if there really was hope.
Having the young miss teach felt like a recipe for disaster.
The young miss wasn't a pro coach-what could she possibly teach?
...
The young man, feeling the weight of the world on his shoulders, slid back into the driver's seat. After the coach's harsh words, his confidence was shattered.
