Liza opened her eyes slowly when the sunlight came in through the window, the woman started to sit up leaning her back on the head of the bed. Her eyes began to trace the whereabouts of the man whose status was her husband, but the man was not in the room at the moment.

Liza started to lower her feet onto the floor, she first tied up her slightly messy hair. Liza started to walk out of the room and swung her feet down each step.

Liza’s eyes widened when she saw a crowd downstairs, all of her parents’ relatives and business friends were also in the room.

“Is there an event?” Inner Liza.

Liza shook off her thoughts , what happened at her house this morning was not a celebration event or a happy party , but her house has now been used as a funeral home .

Liza’s chest felt tighter when she saw Joan carrying a crate with several other people including Dafa and her father-in-law, Liam.

After finishing carrying the casket containing her father’s body to the living room, Joan immediately rushed up to the second floor to meet Liza.

Joan was completely shocked when she saw that his wife was already on the stairs witnessing all that was happening downstairs.

Joan was silent , the man looked devastated , his eyes were swollen and his nose was red like someone who had been crying for hours .

” bro Joan ” Liza called again to interrupt Joan ‘s reverie .

” You have to be strong Li ” Joan said softly while embracing his wife ‘s body , which suddenly made Liza even more surprised by her .

Coupled with that, Joan was already crying and sobbing in Liza’s arms.

“What’s wrong bro, whose body did you bring?” Asked Liza who was still in a calm state even though her gut feeling said something was wrong.

“Your papa and mama died Li” Joan said softly.

Liza was stunned, she began to let go of her embrace, her body began to shake violently, she shook her head in disbelief at her husband’s words.

” No … you are lying right ? ” Liza argued still in disbelief .

“I’m serious dear, your father and mother died the day before yesterday,” said Joan while comforting Liza who was starting to look shocked.

” It can’t be bro… sob…. sob….” Liza’s sobs were getting worse.

“Be strong dear, this is the best for your parents, God loves them more” Joan said while stroking his wife’s back.

Liza was silent, staring blankly at her husband, her crying subsided a little when she imagined her parents were happy and loved each other in nature. Liza smiled imagining things that were impossible for her to see in the world, as long as she was alive she had never seen the parents who gave birth to her to the world establish sincere love.

Even though she felt very sick and lost , this bitter reality had to be swallowed by Liza , true to her husband ‘s words , this was the best way given by God for the two people she loved so much .

Liza started to straighten her body which started to stagger asbroted by Joan who also embraced his wife’s body to their private room.

Arriving in the room, Liza immediately cleaned herself up for a few minutes, while Joan chose one of the black clothes in the walk in closet for his wife to wear.

After taking a black suit for Liza , Joan immediately gave it from behind the bathroom door .

After that night he and Liza had never had husband and wife intercourse again, so it was very awkward for them to see each other’s naked bodies again.

” Already dear ? ” asked Joan who had just seen his wife coming out of the bathroom .

“Yes,” Liza answered tiredly.

Joan got up from the sofa and began to approach his wife. Joan stroked his wife’s arm gently.

“You have to be steadfast Li, this is the best way for them, your father and mother have never loved each other in their entire life, even the hatred is still felt until death takes their lives” Joan explained, which made Liza dumbfounded looking at her husband’s calm eyes.

Liza nodded her head slowly, she tried to strengthen her heart and body.

Joan began to hold his wife’s hand to go downstairs. In the middle of the room, Auris and Sarah are already paying their respects to Liza’s late parents.

Liza sat near her parents’ coffins, she started to put some flowers beside Zea’s and Liam’s bodies.

Liza cried uncontrollably when the cloth covering Zea’s and Liam’s faces was opened by Joan.

“Be patient dear” Auris said to calm Liza.

“bro, what caused my mother and father to die….?” Liza looked at her husband, she was amazed when she saw a gunshot wound on the head of the late Liam.

“Your mom shot papa first, then he fired bullets at his own liver organs, they died right away at Li’s place,” Joan explained softly.

Liza’s crying broke even more, Joan pulled his wife’s body into his arms,

“bro….. why did they leave me alone, sob… sob… sob…”

” Those who are patient , dear , this is the best way for them ” Joan stroked his wife ‘s flowing hair in a very beautiful manner .

” I have Li , we have our children , you will not be alone in this world ” Joan said again .

Liza started to calm down a little , it is true what Joan said , she is not alone in this world , there will be two little angels who will soon be present in her life .

Slowly Liza began to let go of her hands that were wrapped around Joan’s waist, she moved her body a few centimeters away from her husband and turned to Emma who was chatting with some of Zea’s business partners.

In contrast to Joan who chose to stay beside Liam’s body accompanied by Auris, Ansel and Sarah. For him, Liam is a good father-in-law. Previously, he was annoyed because Liam’s attitude was no different from Zea’s, but now he understands why his father-in-law behaved like that.

Ansel burst into tears when he saw the body of his best friend lying motionless in the coffin , he felt guilty for marrying Joan to Yuna . This is all because of Gio, Yuna’s father who always incites himself and says that Liam’s offspring are cunning women.

Ansel had given up and admitted all his mistakes, this time he would let his beloved son disappear from his life and let him live a new chapter with the woman he cared about.

Joan couldn’t bear to see her father’s expression, she chose to move closer to Liza who was discussing something with Emma.

” What caused them to fight so badly , Emma ? ” Liza asked her late mother ‘s secretary .

“Emmmm…..” Emma hung up on her words, she couldn’t bear to say this to Liza.

” Just tell Emma ! ” Joan said , who had just come over to them .

” Mr. Liam impregnated a prostitute , Non . ” Emma said while lowering her head.

Liza sighed in annoyance, who exactly was the damn woman who had been impregnated by her father. Liza had run out of patience this time , she would really finish off that woman with her own hands .

” WHO IS THAT WOMAN ? ” Liza snapped which made everyone in the room turn towards them .

” Li control yourself , now is not the time to talk about that woman ‘s problems ” Joan pleaded to comfort his wife who was starting to lose control .

With a bit of annoyance , Joan pulled his wife ‘s body away from Emma . Currently Joan took Liza to the back garden which has a big pond around it .

“Please control your emotions Li, your parents’ funeral will soon begin, don’t make a scene!” Joan said, slightly raising her tone.

Liza threw Joan’s hand away roughly “Don’t get involved bro… this is my family’s problem”

Joan held Liza’s V-shaped face with both hands “They are also my family Li, I am your husband, I have the right to interfere in your life”

Liza ‘s selfishness melted away , looking into her husband ‘s beautiful eyes made her anger fade instantly .

” Don’t worry honey , I will help you , we will soon move to America and meet that woman ” Joan said seriously .

Liza shed tears again, it seemed that God had predestined this path for her, Liza had lost everything, now she lives alone, has the status of an orphan, only Joan is her refuge.

“Before he died, my father asked me to take care of his company in America. I sent divorce papers yesterday afternoon to Yuna. I also gave up all my positions and surname. I will leave everything that I have achieved in this country, including my own family,” Joan explained long wide .

Liza was stunned, she was very surprised by her husband’s explanation, how could this man in front of her be willing to let go of everything without thinking about it?

“Why are you doing this bro?” Liza asked.

” I want to live with you and our future children in America . I want to open a new page , in a world that will not make me feel confined anymore , because living with you feels like living in heaven on earth . Are you ready , honey ? ” Joan held both hands . his wife’s tiny hands

” Yes , I do ” Liza replied , she did not want to let a man as sincere as Joan run away from her life , nor would she let her two children feel what she had been feeling due to her parents fighting .

From now on, Liza’s soul and body only belong to Joan alone, whether it’s Dilan or whoever it is, no man can take Joan’s position in Liza’s heart.

Joan smiled , she had never felt this happy in her life . Meeting Liza was what Joan had been waiting for all her life , she finally met a star whose light could perfectly illuminate her life .

The two of them hugged each other with great emotion, there was no more one-sided love between them, Liza felt very grateful even though she lost her parents, because the presence of Joan and her two future children made her forget the pain of her dark past.
