Gina, And Her Triplet Alphas

Chapter 29

Third-person narrative

Jasmine sat by the window in her room, staring out at the trees as they moved with the wind. She wasn’t feeling good at all, but watching the trees calmed her down a little. The thing that the brothers had done the day before weighed heavily on her mind.

She searched her head, trying to think of a reason the brothers were acting the way they were, but she couldn’t think of anything. No matter how much they apologized after messing up one time, they’d still end up doing something even worse the next.

She was getting tired of the back-and-forth.

Who wouldn’t?

Mia had come to see her after giving her some time to cool off. She had apologized on her brother’s behalf and also for the fact that their behaviors were affecting their friendship. Jasmine made sure to tell her that she would never let the problems she was having with Mia’s brothers affect their friendship.

Just then, Jasmine heard a knock on her door, and it dragged her out of her thoughts.

“Who’s there?” She asked, still sitting by the window.

“It’s us,” she heard Calix’s voice say, and her heart skipped a beat.

She didn’t know if she wanted to talk to them at the moment, but she couldn’t just keep herself locked up in her room for the rest of her life.

She hadn’t even gone out to eat. She had Mia bring all her food to her in her room.

“Please, Jasmine. We want to apologize for yesterday, so please let us,” she heard Zane’s voice say.

She thought for a while, wondering if she was ready to even see them. They had done something very stupid, and it would have cost them their suspension if the school had found out.

She had called Jake the night before to ask him how he was, and luckily he wasn’t badly injured. She had to apologize on the brothers’ behalf, hoping that Jake wouldn’t report them.

Jake had told her to make sure that the kind of relationship she had with the brothers was clear to her and other people, to avoid others getting hurt like he did.

He was right. They hadn’t defined their relationship yet, so a lot of people didn’t know what they meant to each other. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

Jasmine sighed before standing up from where she was seated and walking to her bed. She sat on the side, close to the door, and crossed her arms.

“Come in,” she said, keeping her face straight and making sure there was no trace of humor in it.

They filed in one after the other, looking like lost puppies. After shutting the door behind them, they hung their heads, not wanting to look her in the eye.

“Uhun,” she said impatiently.

“Well, we just wanted to apologize for what we did. We acted out of order and caused an unnecessary problem, so we’re sorry,” Calix started.

“We don’t know what came over us. We weren’t in our right minds. We were just angry seeing another guy flirt with you in front of us,” Zane explained.

“I have no reason to forgive you, because every time I do, you just end up doing even stupider s**t. I can’t keep up with the three of you. You always just find ways to shock me, and not in a good way; you just end up embarrassing me.

“We can’t change what we did, but we promise that going forward, we won’t ever do anything that would hurt you. We can’t guarantee that it’ll be all roses from here on out, but we’ll try our best,” Ethan said for the first time.

Jasmine sighed. It wasn’t like she had any other choice. They were her mates, and she had been considering the possibility of accepting them.

“We’ll make it up to you. We can show you that we deserve your forgiveness. Just be with us for the rest of the day, and we’ll do whatever we can to make you happy.

“Okay, but just for the rest of the day,” she sighed, and their faces brightened up.

“You won’t regret it,” Calix said excitedly as they made their way out of her room.

“Get ready and meet us at the car in five minutes,” Ethan said, closing the door behind him.

Jasmine lay back on her bed, sighing deeply, wondering if she had made the right decision.

I guess I’ll just have to wait and find out, she thought.

She stood up from her bed and changed her clothes before leaving her room and walking to the car. She met the brothers, who were already standing there waiting for her.

How did they dress up this much and still manage to get ready so fast?” Jasmine said to herself as she looked at each of them.

They were all dressed handsomely, standing there like sculptures, waiting for her.

“Let’s get going,” Ethan said and got into the car with Calix, as Zane held the door open for me to get in and then got in too.

The silence that fell between them was awkward, as Jasmine didn’t even know what to say, but she was kind of okay with the silence.

Ethan parked the car in front of their school’s most popular restaurant, which was also quite expensive. It was where most students went to eat, so it was always full.

They had booked a table earlier, so they would have a table to sit at.

Ethan pushed the door open, and the bell jingled, and that caught the attention of most people in the restaurant. They all turned to see them, and when they saw that it was the brothers with Jasmine, they all went quiet.

Jasmine tried her best to ignore them. It was hard, but she did it. When the company paid the people around them no mind, everybody started to return to what they were doing one after the other, but not without glancing back a few times.

“Order whatever you like,” Zane said as she handed the menu over to her.

They looked through the menu, placed their orders, and talked a bit while they waited for their food to come out.

Jasmine was about to say something when a few of the brothers’ friends approached them.

They greeted each other, exchanging handshakes and pleasantries. They didn’t pay attention to her, even though she was right there.

“So, what are you boys doing here, all dressed up?” One of their friends asked.

By now, the restaurant had quieted down again, with everybody wanting to hear what the brothers had to say.

“Well,” Ethan started, and then he turned to her with a sly smile on his face. “Is there anything wrong with us eating out with our girlfriend?”

There were collective gasps from every corner of the room, including from Jasmine. She hadn’t expected them to just blatantly declare that in front of everyone.

She hit Ethan’s arm, her face turning red, so he smiled and led onto her hand.

“You said you didn’t want to suffer that kind of embarrassment any longer, so we thought it would be best if we just let everyone know that you’re our mate so that they would stay away,” he said, smiling like he hadn’t just said something crazy.

“We’re happy for you guys. We’ll leave you to your date,” they said, leaving the couple alone.

Jasmine buried her face in her palms, not believing what just happened. Deep down, she was happy that they said it.

Their food came, and they ate and discussed, laughing all the while. She had never really had the time to sit with the brothers and have a civil conversation with them, so she just came to discover how funny and entertaining it was to talk to them.

Jasmine acted like she didn’t hear them, but there were side comments from people around them, talking about how she didn’t deserve the brothers, how she was a slut for taking all three brothers, and so on.

She tried her best to ignore them, but when she couldn’t take any more of it, she spoke to the brothers.

“Since we’re done eating, can we leave?” She asked, and they immediately agreed.

They paid the bill and then walked out of the restaurant and back to the car.

“We have one last place we want to take you before we go back,” Calix informed her.

“Where is that?” She asked.

“You’ll see,” he said smiling, and Jasmine frowned.

“As long as you’re not going to kill me…” She trailed off, and Zane snorted.

Ethan drove the car into the part of town that was occupied by trees and forests. After a while, he drove off the main road and started driving into the forest, until he couldn’t drive any further.

“We’ll go the rest of the way by foot,” he said, getting out of the car.

“Where are we, and why are we here?” Jasmine asked as she also got out of the car. “Are you boys planning to kill me?” She half-joked.

“Just follow us; we have something to show you.”

She pursed her lips before following them. Ethan is leading the way, Jasmine is behind him, and Zane and Calix are behind her.

They walked for a while before Jasmine saw light penetrating through the trees. After a while, they got to a clearing. It was at the edge of a cliff, and you could see the sun setting already.

“Let’s hurry, or we’re going to miss it,” Zane said, rushing towards the edge to sit there.

The rest of them joined him, and they silently watched the sunset. Jasmine had a smile on her face as she looked at the brothers and then back at the different colors reflecting in the sky before it finally became dark.

“That was nice to watch; thank you for bringing me here,” she said to the brothers.

“We wanted to do at least one thing to make you smile today,” Calix said.

“You did, thank you.”

“We don’t ever want to make you cry. We’re going to do everything in our capacity to keep you happy, no matter what,” Zane said, and Jasmine moved close to him and pressed a k**s to his lips.

Zane was shocked, and so were his brothers. They weren’t expecting her to k**s them for a while. Quickly overcoming his shock, Zane kissed her back, placing his hand on her cheek.

She pulled away from him, went to Ethan next, and kissed him too. She kissed him for a while before finally turning to Calix and kissing him.

“Thank you for today. I’m really happy.” She smiled and rested her head on Zane’s shoulder as the brothers got closer to her, wrapping their arms around her and warming her up as the night started to get cold.

Jasmine hoped they would at least be this happy for a while.
