Jeff’s invitation was just an interlude to Samara.

Samara did not take Jeff’s words to heart. She had been a daughter–in–law of the Humphrey family for three years. Samara

could guess what Eric was thinking.

Compared to what Eric thought, Samara cared more about the bidding plan for the land tomorrow.

Samara rejected the proposal at the meeting just now. Rogelio did not dare to go against Samara like before.

together?”

Jimena was Kadin’s secretary, and she immediately reacted. Before she came in, she had heard that Roland’s car was downstairs at the company again. Without thinking, she knew that Roland must have come to find Samara for a meal.

Jimena saw the smile on Samara’s face and quickly shook her head. “I have something to do at noon, Ms. Novak.”

Samara raised her eyebrows and looked at Jimena simperingly. “I think you’re just a little scared, aren’t you?”

Samara smiled and patted Jimena on the shoulder. “Alright, you don’t have to have lunch with me.”

Jimena felt a little guilty when Samara looked at her, but she managed to look calm and composed. “Yes, Ms. Novak.”

Samara did not expose her. Samara stepped into the elevator in her high heels.

Roland lowered his head and looked at her. His eyes were filled with a faint smile.

Samara felt like he was going to see through her. She lowered her eyebrows and looked away from him.

Roland laughed and went around to get in the car.
