“Mr. Humphrey, I had something to handle last time, so I had to refuse your invitation. I hope you don’t mind.”

Samara apologized at the beginning, which made Eric feel that Samara was coming to make peace tonight.

He had kept a straight face, but a smile came over his face when he heard Samara’s words. “I may be presumptuous. I forgot that you were busy.”
