Go Away, I’m a Billionairess Now By Evie Cole Chapter 20 Why Is Samara Here?
Samara and Gisselle were walking before them. They heard Natalee and Gloria’s conversation when they showed their invitation to the guards. Samara and Gisselle exchanged a look. Samara raised her eyebrows and did not look back.
Samara wanted to see how Gloria would ask her for her number.
The status of the Clayton family was second only to that of the Humphrey family in Houston. So almost all the big shots in Houston had come to the anniversary celebration of the Clayton family’s
company.
Samara saw many familiar faces as soon as she came to the party. And those people were obviously shocked to see Samara here.
Of course, they were shocked. After all, Samara was a nobody. After leaving the Humphrey family, she was nothing. But now, she suddenly showed up at this party. Anyone would be shocked.
Gisselle saw their shock and clicked her tongue. “Have they never seen prettier women? Why do they keep staring at you?”
Samara raised her eyebrows. She took two glasses of juice from the waiter who passed by and handed one to Gisselle. She lowered her head and took a sip of her juice. Then she smiled, “I think
so.”
Gisselle tilted her head to look at Samara. Although Samara’s narcissism was a bit annoying, Samara had the right to be narcissistic.
Gisselle snorted, “They saw too few women.”
Samara smiled and did not respond to Gisselle’s words.
Chaim came in with Caspian Carver. And the moment he entered, he attracted most of the attention.
Samara stood outside the crowd and looked indifferently at Chaim who walked in step by step. This was the first time she felt so calm when looking at him.
Gisselle, who was beside her, sneered, “Samara, I have to admit that Chaim is indeed good–looking. No wonder he’s one of the men that the rich girls in Houston want to marry the most.”
Hearing her words, Samara glanced at Gisselle. “Do I look like someone with poor taste?”
Samara had to admit that Chaim’s face was 70 percent the reason she fell in love with him back in the day.
“No.” Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.
Despite the crowd between them, Chaim saw Samara next to Gisselle at a glance.
Unlike her usual gentle and lovely appearance, Samara was wearing bright makeup and an eye– catching red dress.
She was chatting with her friend with her head bent down. Chaim didn’t know what they were talking about, but the smile on Samara’s face didn’t touch her eyes.
Probably noticing his gaze, Samara raised her head and looked over.
Chaim withdrew his gaze and looked at Victor, who was walking toward him.
Not long after Gloria entered the party, Natalee asked her to go to her friends.
Just as Gloria found her good friends Amy Arcand and some others, Leana Hudgens gave her a tug. “Gloria, come here and see if that is your ex–sister–in–law.”
Gloria hated Samara’s guts now. When she heard Leana’s words, Gloria was immediately unhappy. “Sister–in–law? That toad is not my sister–in–law!”
Amy laughed. She took Gloria’s arm and pointed at Samara. “Look, the one wearing a red dress over there. She really looks like Samara!”
Gloria pursed her lips and looked in the direction Amy pointed. She found that the person Amy was pointing at was the beautiful woman she and Natalee saw at the entrance. Gloria could not help but laugh, “She doesn’t look like Samara! Samara is not as…”
Before Gloria could say the word “pretty“, Gloria saw Samara’s face, which was turned toward her, and was stunned. The expression on Gloria’s face froze. “Why is Samara here?”
This was no place for someone like Samara!
