Marco’s face darkened.

He never thought his mother despised Loraine so much. She called her a bitch right in front of him. It was obvious she must have been mean and rude toward Loraine when he wasn’t around.

A pang of guilt settled in his heart as he imagined what all Loraine must have gone through.

He couldn’t bear to hear his mother slander Loraine, so he hung up the phone.
