Harvey York's Rise to Power

Chapter 6311

Harvey knew very well that, right now, he was Sky Corporation's boss in name only.

Other than some major decisions, all the other executive decisions were done by Yvonne and Ray together.

However, if their opponents were to make a strike and take out either Yvonne or Ray...

It wasn't a loss Harvey was willing to bear right now.

Yvonne could feel the concern from Harvey, and nodded gently. "Don't worry.

"I'll be more cautious from now on and prepare more manpower.

"I'll also ask Tyson and George to work together. Especially once George is here, we can seize the initiative when it comes to information."

Harvey nodded. "Once George is here, tell him to put all his efforts into finding out who else is making their moves against us other than Hummingbar.

"While Sky Corporation always walked the path of a king, I don't mind walking the path of a tyrant if someone decides to make such an ignorant move."

Harvey's eyes flashed. "Right. There's something else you need to bear in mind about this. See if the people from Evermore are involved in this.

"We have clashed a couple of times. The people from Evermore won't show any mercy if there's a chance to attack me while I'm weak."

Yvonne nodded, and made a mental note about it. After some hesitation, she changed the subject.

"There's something else, Mr. York. It has been a while and the Xavier family in Wolsing has already called me to return a few times. I'll be heading back soon in a few days.Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.

Harvey frowned. "Is it going to be problematic?"

Yvonne beamed when she heard what Harvey had to say. "What you said is enough for me. "Don't you worry. I'm no fool.

"If anything's wrong, I'll immediately inform you.

"But I think the Xavier family's attitude is much better this time around. I think they might want to make a request for something."

Harvey nodded, and said nothing else.

If this was related to their familial matters, then he couldn't interfere much as an outsider.

Half an hour later, the convoy quietly stopped in front of an office building in the third ring of the city.

Yellow tapes had been pulled all around the building. The well-painted walls had been burnt into char, and it looked like a forgotten tomb as sunlight showered upon it.

Harvey and Yvonne got out of the car, and looked at the building that someone had burned down. Even with how calm Harvey usually was, there was a hint of anger in his eyes.

What they did had crossed the line.

He was only able to remain calm because no one had died. If someone did die, Harvey would have already been actively hunting down the culprit and the men pulling the strings.

"Shall we go in?" Yvonne asked carefully as she noticed Harvey's emotions.

Harvey sighed, and said, "Let's go in and take a look. We need to see where the fire started to be able to find any evidence, right?

"Speaking of which, since when is the fire station so passionate about their job? The fire's out, but they're still dispersing the crowd?"

Harvey walked in, and noticed the strangeness at the edge of the scene.

Many firefighters seemed to be dispersing the crowds nearby. Everything looked very normal, but something felt out of place as well...
