Chapter 35 Instinctive Reaction
Chapter 35 Instinctive Reaction
Hattie stared at the white ceiling blankly.
Jensen proposed marriage to her on that night and he claimed that he wanted to give her a home.
After that, he also said that he would wait for her reply and kept waiting.
Hattie sighed and was at a loss.
Why was Jensen so stubborn?
What’s good about her, she is going to die...
Her eyes turned red while thinking about that.
“Hattie, I brought you porridge today ...” said Jensen softly. Hattie blinked quickly and looked towards
him.
Jensen seemed like nothing had happened, helped her to wash her face as usual. He also placed the
utensils for her and fed her the porridge spoonful by spoonful.
While eating, Hattie’s tears dropped.
“Why do you cry...?” Jensen had no choice but to put down the bowl and helped her to wipe away her
tears. He said, “I don’t force you, just think about it slowly.”
Hattie cried even harder.
“Can you stop crying? Does your wound hurt?” Jensen was panicked but he did not know how to
console her.
The more he behaved like this, the harder Hattie cried.
He could only hug her helplessly.
Hattie’s crying stopped abruptly.
“Please don’t cry, I am sorry. I shouldn’t ask you to marry me suddenly.” Jensen said softly, “
But, I am sincere and I really hope that you can think properly.”
Jensen was hugged by him blankly and she even forgot to push him away.
She was not worthy, not worthy for him to treat her like this...
...
Something was wrong.
Something was still wrong.
Greyson always felt that something was wrong these days but he could not tell what was wrong.
He looked at Rowan who sat on the sofa and read books in the office.
Was that because of Rowan?
Did the car accident really damage any part of him?
Obviously, Rowan was so lovely but how could he be nauseous when he touched her?
Whenever he touched her, he would become impatient without any reason. He just wanted to get rid of
her immediately and then kept a distance from her.
It was going to be crazy.
Greyson rubbed his temples irritably.
“Greyson ? What has happened to you?” asked Rowan.
“Nothing, I just want to stay alone for a while.” said Greyson.
“Then I ...” Rowan stood up and wanted to wait for him outside.
But, Greyson said, “I am sorry but today, you go back first.”
Rowan saw his exhausted look and so she did not say anything before leaving the office.
What had happened to Greyson these days? He seemed very tired and gloomy all the time.
She could feel that whenever she approached him, his body would become stiff subconsciously. But, it
would be covered up by him like nothing had happened.
Was it possible that although something was wrong to his memory, his body still knew that she was not
the one who he loved the most? So, was this the reason that made him reject her?
Rowan felt anxious.
Did he remember something?
No, he could not! Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
It was not easy for her to give her heart to him. He could not disappoint her.
It did not matter whether he remembered it or he reacted instinctively, he could never leave her in his
life.
Whenever Rowan loved a person, it would not change for a lifetime.
She was an arrogant person. However, she lowered her limitations for him countless times. Her pride
was like nothing when things came to him.
Anyway, he should belong to her only in his lifetime!
Her only...
Rowan seemed to think of something suddenly. She took her phone out and called Finnley Morgan.
Finnley picked up the phone quickly and said, “Rowan, what’s up?”
“Mr. Morgan, I have something to speak with you. Do you have time?” asked Rowan.
“I am free anytime when you look for me.” said Finnley with a smile.
“Great, then I go to meet you now immediately.” Rowan hung up the phone and then left hurriedly.
In the office, after Rowan left, Greyson’s exhausted look was being swept away.
He could not believe himself. Was Rowan having something on her body? Why whenever she came
and yet to touch him, he would feel uncomfortable.
As long as she left, his tiredness, anxiety and stiffness would disappear.
Greyson looked outside from the window and he was puzzled.
...
Finnley looked at Rowan in surprise and asked, “What? Rowan, what you said is true?”
“It is true. Mr. Morgan, this is what I am thinking of.” Rowan’s face was flushed but she said it firmly.
Finnley remained silent for a while and suddenly smiled then said, “Alright, fine, I can’t expect that the
arrogant eldest daughter of the Porter family in City A is willing to let go everything and talk this with
me. How could I not agree?”
“Mr. Morgan?!” said Rowan in surprise. After that, she was delighted and said, “Do you mean that?!”
“Or course ... I agree.” Finnley said happily, “I can’t wait for you guys get married as soon as possible
...”
“Mr. Morgan, it is great that you agree.” Rowan said happily, “Then, thank you for troubling Mr. Morgan
to assist me.”
