Chapter 78: Their Luna 

"What’s happening here?" Athena asked in a dominating tone as soon as she walked inside the room and stood in front of a group of angry people.

Her posture was filled with strength and confidence, making each of them almost cower away.

They could already feel some power radiating from her but they were way too blinded with some unknown rage which possessed them to notice who Athena was.

"Who are you?"

One of the male wolves asked with a snarl.

His eyes were golden, glistening brightly, letting her know that his wolf was at the surface.

But that didn‘t scare her at all nor made her stance break even for a little bit.

Instead she grew more intimidating.

She felt a presence inside her and at that moment she knew that it was her wolf.

So, instead of getting anxious about it, she got confident and accepted and handled it gracefully.

A malicious look came up on her face as she looked him in the eyes while taking a step toward him.

"Look me in the eyes and tell me who I am!"

The man’s eyes widened in shock and fear as he took a step back

"L...Luna..! Luna! Luna!"

He dropped on his knees, his eyes dropped as well and he started to chant out of nowhere, creating a commotion among the other members.

Everyone else started to chant the same thing as well as they turned to face her with respect on their faces.

"Everyone quiet down!" Athena ordered and they all shut up immediately.

"Luna, thank you so much for coming here for us."

One of the female members said with gratefulness in her tone.

Athena recognised her from the other day where they baked cookies together.

Athena’s face went blank every time they addressed her as ‘Luna’.

But she tried not to think about it at that moment and looked back at them.

"Now tell me, what‘s going on here?"

She demanded in a cold tone while looking at one of the guards who looked exhausted and tired.She could understand how hard it must be to handle such rough wolves.

"Luna, they are going crazy and demanding to go to the basement to get Stacey even though we have strict orders that no one can go there to meet her without the alpha’s orders."

The guard explained quickly.

His tone was requesting her to help him.

She nodded at him before looking back at the pack members.

"Why are you guys doing this despite the Alpha‘s order?" She asked with a scowl and everyone immediately started talking at the same time, creating a ruckus.

She immediately ordered once again.

"Only one of you talk." She said while pointing at the first man.

"Luna, that woman is a betrayer, a back-biter.We won’t tolerate betrayers in our pack.We want hard punishment for that woman.How dare she go against our alpha and try to hurt you, our Luna.We are never going to forgive her."

He snarled, ready to attack Stacey if she was there.

"So, you are trying to say that your alpha and I mean a lot to you?" Athena asked in a calm tone, with a raised eyebrow.

"YES!"

Everyone immediately shouted at the same time.

"We always wanted our Luna and having you as Luna is truly a blessing.We are very lucky to have you as our Luna."

One of them said with pride in her tone and Athena wondered if they knew anything about her.

If they knew that she was a rogue? If they don‘t know, how will they react when they know? Will they accept her as easily as this? Or will they change their attitude just like they changed for Stacey? She quickly shook her head to get those thoughts out of her mind and focused on the matter in hand.

"How much do both of our words mean to you all?" She asked in the same tone as before and they all nodded again with confidence.

"You wish is like a command to us!"

They shouted once again, making her look at them with a raised eyebrow.

"Are you sure? Think carefully before saying because as far as I know, alpha Dominic said in clear words that no one will go near Stacey without his orders.You didn’t respect that, so how can I believe you?"

She asked with a small taunt in her tone.

"We are so sorry, Luna.We got carried away in anger.Because we are very possessive over our Alpha and Luna.We got you after so long and couldn’t afford to lose you.Because just the way our Alpha works hard to protect us, we need to do everything to protect him as well, right?"

One of them said in an understanding tone and at that moment, Athena felt truly proud of Dominic.

How much these people respect and love Dominic! What a great leader he was, his people were ready to do everything to protect him! That was truly beautiful and she admired it very much because such unity is hard to find in packs.

"I am very pleased to hear that but you guys need to understand that there are a few things which can‘t be handled with fury and rage.We need to calm down and think before solving such things.Alpha Dominic obviously thought of these.Alpha Dominic has taken the responsibility already, don‘t you think it‘s an insult toward him and his capabilities when you all decided to take things in hand?" She asked in a calm tone and they all fell silent.

"We are sorry, Luna.We made a mistake.What do we do now?"

One of them said in a guilt filled tone, understanding what they did was wrong.

Athena was going to say something when a voice from the door spoke up, spreading pins and dropping silence around the room.

"She did enough, now I will say what you are going to do."
