Kitten
Verena’s POV
A liquid kept falling in my head that it jolts me awake. I am extremely cold and the only thing that covers my body is my clothes.
I remembered why I’m here. I bit the insides of my cheeks because of the hatred, anger and frustration I’m feeling right now. That Damon is insane. I want to spit on his face and stomp on his gorgeous face.
Beneath me I can feel the mud sticking in my clothes. I hope worms are not habitants in here, funny how I can kill a ruthless person but extremely afraid of wiggly worms.
I felt my stomach made a noise that is a signal I’m hungry. My throat is also dry and from my guess I think I’d slept for hours after Damon injected me.
When I get a hold of that man I’ll literally kill him.
I turned around when twigs crunched and something rushed behind me.
“Oh boy.” It’s him.
Meters away from me is a big white wolf staring at me as if its glaring. It’s blue eyes are showing pigmentations that it somehow tells that behind of the icy blue eyes there are deep emotions are hidden.
This is Damon for sure. I’ve never seen a beautiful fur as he has. It’s almost the same color of the snow, unlike his soul.
He shifted into his full size letting me know that he can crush me even if he only use his limbs as if I’m a tiny twig.
“Sorry okay! I never meant my words. Please don’t eat me. I know I d-don’t r-really taste that good.” I am so scared that I stuttered.
He growled low showing me his sharp pointy teeth as if he is ready to bite my head off.
He barks at me giving the look “if you run you know I will kill you.”
“Alright you win asshole.” I said while raising my two hands in the air to show my defeat.
He produced a sound that seems like a wolf chuckle.
Wow that’s weird.Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
He ran off and I panicked a little. Because knowing him he can be merciless. And he can leave me here to be the forest food for the animals.
The childish tears came running along my cheeks. I lifted my head and hissed when I felt the pain of my nape.
“Smart move Kinzhe.”
I turn around to confirm the voice. Yup, it’s Demon the Damon. Now I’m stuck with him for like a total of four months. God what have I done with my life to endure this. I’d rather serve the military than him.
“Kinzhe?”
“It means kitten.”
“Asshole, I’m not your pet.”
“Do you have a choice?” His eyes squinted and he winked at me like a total asshole.
The tears that were formed awhile ago seems to vanished.
“Oh right Mr. You Have It All. For sure everyone doesn’t have a choice when you command.” I sneered while he chuckled sexily. I hate this man and his crazy antics.
I’ve met a lot of sexy men and some even looks like Leonardo but they won’t stand a chance with this guy. He’s a literal god in a man’s clothing. His eyes were the most striking crystal blue eyes I’ve looked at. And his disheveled dark black hair only proves that even chaos looks good on him.
He knew I was checking on him. The smirk on his pretty face is evident of it.
“You’ll be my personal assistant other than Damien my beta. And maybe a few more weeks I’ll get use of your yapping in pack meetings.” He frowned when he caught me rolling my eyes but later on his face glinted a smile that I never seen before.
“Can you release me now? My hands are hurting.”
“That’s your punishment so you’ll keep ’em until we arrive at my house.”
“You have your own?”
That proves it. He is ultimately rich.
“Yeah.” He lazily answered.
“What’s my first job?”
“Tomorrow will be your first job. You’re gonna pretend to be my mate.” A ghost smile appeared on his face.
What is he planning seriously.
“You hadn’t still found your mate?” I asked curiously.
I heard him sigh, “If I already found her I won’t ogle my time with you. I should have killed you yesterday while your sleeping.”
The fear and my anxiety grew. What if he’ll kill me when I’m asleep at his house?
What if he wants me in his house so his other pack members won’t hear my screams when he’ll kill me.
“I can sense your fear Verena. I’m just joking. I won’t kill you. I don’t kill innocent people unless you’re hiding something.”
“Seriously are you still being delusional that I’m sort of a witch?”
“Might be.”
He uncuff me from the chains and threw me off his shoulders.
“What the fuck Damon! I can walk!”
I grabbed unto his hair as if I’m holding for my life. He is tall as a tree, imagine he is 6 feet tall and if I fall in the ground I would die.
This man is a nutcase. I want to slap his back but that won’t guarantee my survival.
I chose to rebel but to give it a second thought maybe no. I’d rather die for the organization rather than this pack of weirdos or pack of what crazy shapeshifters.
I muttered a curse when he sprinted until the wind slaps my face. The coldness and frigid air kept in contact while my hair flew in different directions.
I weighed over 50 kilograms but Damon didn’t mind. He carried me like a sack of potatoes ready to be blanched for dinner.
“I think I’m going to puke after this!” I shouted for him to hear me. He still managed to grip me tight and laughed.
“You’ll be fine.” He replied.
The crunch of dry leaves, branch of trees is all I heard. I calmed my nerves when I saw fog in our direction. It coats the place which seems like the end of the forest.
Damon stop on his tracks and my brows furrowed.
He yanked me down that I almost fall on my butt. I kicked his foot to avenge.
He didn’t budge yet he look at me dead in the eye.
“Hold on to me. You’re stupidity and recklessness will kill us both.”
“Why?”
“We will walk pass the waterfall.”
“I thought we’re going to your house?” I asked. The suspicions I’m plotting on this man. He said we’re going to his house.
“Could you stop talking? I would my patience and feed you to the waterfalls mermaid.”
Oh, I’m not informed that mermaids lives in waterfalls. That’s an odd fantasy story.
He grabbed me by my arm and pulled me until we reach the waterfalls he’s been talking about.
“I’m gonna get wet.”
“Oh sure you are.” He cocks his head like I said a joke.
“I don’t have any spare clothes.”
“I have spares.”
“You want me to wear boxer shorts and long large ass tshirts?”
“You should be grateful Kinzhe, I’ll let you wear something to fight off the cold.”
“Oh I should be grateful then.”
He didn’t said another word but I know he’s been contemplating his decision to bring me here.
