His Eagle Eyes on Me

Chapter 3128

Ivy immediately stopped them. "He can't drink. Let's just drink juice," she said before standing up to order juice.

Missy grabbed her hand and said, "Your boss hasn't said anything, so why are you panicking? I'm just a woman; it's not like I could do anything to him."

Ivy gave up, and Missy raised her glass to click it against Lucas'. "Lucas, I know you've just graduated and might not have a high tolerance for alcohol, but it's fine. You need to drink more to build up your tolerance! This wine doesn't have a high alcohol content anyway!"

She immediately finished her wine in one big gulp, and Ivy swallowed hard at the sight.

Missy set down her glass and gestured at Lucas. "Aren't you going to drink? Why are you just staring at me?"

As he had downed his wine earlier, Lucas' cheeks were flushed. He rarely drank so he was already feeling a bit tipsy.

"Ms. Feake, I can drink, but if I have this glass of wine, we won't be able to discuss anything." Lucas' clear aversion and distaste were evident.

As he lifted the glass, ready to take a sip, Missy chuckled. "You probably shouldn't drink that, then! I was just teasing you; I didn't expect you to be so serious."

Lucas set the wine glass down, thoroughly confused. "Why were you teasing me?"

Missy had not anticipated Lucas being so straightforward. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.

"Are you here for work or pleasure?" Lucas pressed.

"A bit of both, of course! Lucas, are you usually this uptight?" Missy asked.

Ivy interjected, "Ms. Feake, he's like this with everyone."

"Is that so? Mature beyond his years, I suppose! That's quite interesting," Missy commented.

As lunch was coming to an end, Missy turned to Caspian. "I'd like to have a private chat with Lucas. Why don't you take Ivy away?"

Caspian immediately wiped his

mouth with a napkin. "Sure! No

problem!" He stood and waved net

Ivy. Ivy, let's go. I'll walk you back to

the office."

Ivy reluctantly got up and followed Caspian out.

In the car, Caspian noticed Ivy's displeased expression and asked, "What's on your mind? Are you worried Ms. Feake will do something to Lucas?"

"How can you find this funny? Lucas can't handle alcohol! Now that he's had too much, he might lose control..."

Caspian grinned. "You're too naive!

His alcohol tolerance isn't as bad as you think. Don't be fooled by his flushed cheeks; that's just how his body reacts. We occasionally drink together when we have dinner privately."

Ivy let out a sigh of relief. "Why didn't you say so earlier?"

Caspian chuckled. "If I had said Lucas had a high alcohol tolerance, wouldn't Ms. Feake have tried to make him drink more? I have a feeling she's not here to discuss business; she's likely trying to seduce Lucas. Did you notice she changed her dress?"

"Of course, I noticed. Not only did she change her dress, but she also switched to high heels. Even her earrings are different!" Ivy retorted. Caspian mused, "You are quite observant, huh? It seems she really has her eye on Lucas!"

Ivy remained silent.

Caspian reassured her: "Ivy, don't be too upset. If Lucas falls for Ms. Feake, it just means he's not the right fit for you. It's not your fault."

"I know. If Lucas is into Ms. Feake, I'll probably return to my home country."
