His Psycho Lover

CHAPTER TWENTY FIVE

I reached for Maggie but she wasn’t there. I got up to look for her but she was gone. I took my phone to call her number but I was still blocked. She left after what happened last night. We had a conversation. Though I know that she’s on drugs, I feel that what she said is from the bottom of her heart. And what I thought about me being to be her sides and go with the flow was sincere.

I just took a shower and went downstairs. I went straight to the kitchen to brew coffee when I saw food on the table, making me smile like an idiot. I knew right away that it was Maggie who prepared this. I can’t help but smile even though I’m dining alone. She still cares about me. She still desires me. She even made me some food before she left. She is still looking after me.

I drove directly to my office and use the company’s telephone to call Maggie, I just want to make sure she came home safe. She hasn’t unblocked me yet so I’ll use the company phone instead. Just a few rings and someone answered on the other line.

“Hello.” Wait, is this Dylan? So, are they together already? “Aren’t you gonna talk?”

“It’s Blaze.”

“Ow.”

“Just wanna check on Maggie.”

“She’s good, sleeping sweetly after you drained her. Do you need anything else?”

“Nah.”

“Asshole.” And he ended the call.

I shouldn’t be disappointed. I turned her over to him. But shit, she just gonna sleep, why not do it at our house? I mean, in my house. Never mind, whatever it is. After I talked to Dylan, I went to Dane’s office. Everyone is busy chitchatting.

We just greeted each other before everyone became silent. We have our own offices. But we stayed in Dane’s office. We only stay in our office when there is something to focus on or related to our individual businesses. We talk about the reports and more.

“Good Morning sir Blaze. Someone wants to talk to you.”

“Who?” I asked because I dis not expecting any visitors.

“Me,” Dylan walked inside so I quickly stood up. “I want to talk to you.”

“What are you doing here, Dylan?”

“You’re not the one I want to talk to, Dane.”

“He won’t come with you,” Dane insisted.

“Will you talk to me, Blaze, or will I take Maggie away from you forever?”

“Where do you want to talk?”Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

“Rooftop, so I can push you in case you give the wrong answer.” He turned around and left us.

“I’ll go with you, sucker.”

“You don’t have to, Zeus, I can handle him.”

“You’re not sure, that’s Dylan, ‘bro. Dylan Damon Dy,” Jace said.

“Stop it guys, he’s my brother.”

“No, Dane, Dylan isn’t just one of your siblings,” Phoenix exclaimed. “He’s the asshole amongst the all.

“I’ll go, maybe I won’t get killed, right, Dane?”

“No need to worry, he’s just gonna break some of your bones.”

“Fuck.”

I went straight to the rooftop and caught Dylan smoking while leaning against the railings. Not that I’m nervous but-heck! It’s Dylan and for shit’s sake, I don’t have a fight when I get hit. Between their family, he is the dumbest.

“What are we going to talk about?” He handed me a cigarette but I refused so he put it back in his pocket.

“You’re a good boy, keep it up.”

“What do you need? If you’re here because of what happened to Maggie and me I won’t bother to say sorry. And we’ll repeat things, if she’s willing, even if it means that we’re cheating on you.”

“Why, did I tell you to say sorry? Besides, hell I care if something happened to you. Repeat those again and again. I can be your audience if you want, so I can count how many rounds you’ve had.”

“What?” Aren’t they dating? As far as I know, I left Maggie to him. Why would he say such things?

“Exercise your brain to understand quickly.”

“What do you really need?”

“Do you still love her?” I could not immediately answer his question. “The fuck, this idiot takes too long to answer. Just answer yes or no.”

“Yes, I love her.” I even swallowed after answering.

“Did you know that I want to break your bone? Just on the leg so you know how much pain you’ve brought to Maggie.”

“She wasn’t the only one hurt by what happened to us.”

“I hope you didn’t just promise her that no matter what happens, you’ll only listen to her and there’s only the two of you in your relationship.”

“How —?”

“How did I know? She told me everything. Even how she cried, knelt down, begged in front of you but you told her she was selfish and she deserved what she was going through.”

“I didn’t mean to, I was just hurt during those times. I didn’t mean any of those.”

“Well, can you take back something you’ve already said? No, because it already came out of your filthy mouth and she’s already hurt.” I was speechless. He was right. I can no longer undo the hurtful things I said to Maggie.

“Do you love Maggie?” I asked but he laughed out loud.

“Damn, tell me how do you know when you love someone?” He asked with a laugh. “Ah, when you have sex, you say I love you when you are gonna cum? All I know is dirty talking to make it better. Just so you know, Maggie and I haven’t had sex yet, but we can try so that we can try saying ‘I love you’ when we reach orgasm.”

“You’re a dickhead!” I grabbed him by the collar but he just laughed again and removed my hand then looked at me.

“Maggie loves you.” He said seriously. “If he loved Khairo then, he would love you more, fuck you.”

“That’s why they got back together and stayed together at the hotel all night.”

“Fuck, what did Maggie see in you and she’s goddamn in love with an asshole like you? You’re stupid.” He took another cigarette and lit it. “Khairo went to the hotel because he was proposing to his girlfriend. Maggie helped with the organizer. Maggie even met Khairo’s fiancé, you fool.”

The hell with this, he’s been doing nothing but to curse me. But wait, so those two have no relationship. Then why does this idiot know a lot?

“Don’t be happy.” He smiled foolishly. “I’m still here.”

“I know, you already told the doctor at the hospital that you are his lover.”

“And you fucking believed what I said?”

“What do you mean?” He just laughed and laughed then shook his head to look at me.

“We’re not dating, stupid. But who knows, I might change my mind and court her.”

“Then it was true that you have fantasies over Maggie.”

“Would I have flirted with her before if not?” I stared at him but he just laughed. Talking with this dickhead makes me insane.

“If you just brought me here to make fun of me, I’ll be leaving ‘coz I have workloads to do.”

“Maggie is important to me. And all that is important to me, I’m willing to fight even to death. If only I could do so, I would take Maggie away from you.”

“Let’s just get things straight here.”

“Fight for the love you say for her. I’ll give you a chance to get her back again. But if there’s really no hope, leave her alone and don’t bother her anymore.”

“But you’re what she needs.”

“Are you sure?” he asked. “You know what’s wrong with you and your friends, including Dane? You don’t know how to fight for what’s important to you. And you’ll only realize everything when it’s already too late for you. I don’t know if Dane is infected by you, or otherwise.”

“Why do you care so much about Maggie?”

“Because we understand each other and we have the same level of insanity. Maggie and I knew each other during the times we were both against the Earth. No one understood us. So we leaned on each other. It’s like we’re facing in the mirror when we face each other.”

“Why didn’t you stay with her, why didn’t you love her?” He just laughed at my question.

“Then you’ve lost your chance to her, idiot. I can’t see myself having sex with her. I feel like I’m not gonna enjoy it. She’s just nice to talk to but not nice to thrust into. I just don’t know about you.”

“You really a nonsense talker, huh?”

“Yeah, that’s why Maggie got infected with me. What, can you get her back?”

“I will give her space. She needs time to forgive me. I will wait for the perfect time.”

“There is no perfect in time. Time only becomes perfect when it suits us, when it suits our feelings. But when it is not in our favor and we are hurt, it becomes wrong timing.” He smiled at me and threw something. As I partook I saw a cluster of keys and an isolated one.

“What is this?”

“I told Maggie that we would relax at the vacation house but she didn’t know where. That key alone is my hummer’s key. The other key is Dy’s vacation house in Baguio. You’ve been there many times with Dane so I guess you already knew the way.”

“You want Maggie and I to spend time together?”

“She will be closer to you when you take her there. When Maggie and I went there she thought there was a ghost in that house. So, she follows me everywhere I go after that. It’s just happened that when we are there the caretaker came and I forgot to inform her. She went down and saw an old man’s back going out of the house. She told me that she saw someone but I didn’t correct her because she’s getting clingy on me eh, so I just went with it.”

“You really are a pervert.”

“Don’t state the obvious.” He put out the cigarette and faced me. “I am not doing this for you. I am doing this because of Maggie. She means everything to me, but not in a way that you’ve thought, asshole.”

Then he walked away but also stopped immediately.

“She’s in her place waiting for me and the address is in my car. I will go with her after an hour and when I get ahead of you, you will return those to me and I will go with her instead.” Then he faced me. “Just the two of us there.” He smiled like an idiot before heading out.
