I Died

I Died 9

The air became heavy between the two, but Isabel managed to pull herself together. “Maybe I misheard them? I mean there are several killings nowadays because the tension between packs is rising. Goodness, I got it all mixed up,” she uttered and awkwardly laughed, not even looking at him in the eyes.

“Let’s not dwell on that bad stuff, okay?” She added.

Although confused, Logan nodded his head eventually and tried not to dwell on it like what Isabel wanted. The two of them kept walking inside the huge pack house and climbed the stairs. Well, technically, there were three in there. I was there too, just invisible in their naked eyes.

“So, when will you go back to Crimson Crescent?” Logan asked. NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

When Isabel heard his question, her expression became sad. Her eyes were twinkling, as if there were unshed tears, then suddenly, she shook her head. “I will… go back to Light Forest Pack, Alpha. You know my parents are there. I’ll be staying for good.”

Logan immediately looked her way. I was also shocked by what I heard. After everything she had done, she was going to run away and seek refuge there.

“But you said you only left the pack before because Aurora told you so, didn’t she? Why

are you leaving for good now?”

Ah. I had almost forgotten the lies she told this man. Until now, my mate didn’t know that the first love he treasured the most was a snake.

Isabel chuckled. “Come on, Alpha, you know better. Going back to my previous pack was my plan all along. Aurora had nothing to do with it.”

At that moment, Logan looked bewildered, waving his hands in disbelief. He could not point it all out, and perhaps, he refused to believe that he was played by a mere. she–wolf when he was the Alpha of a prominent pack.

“Wait, what? But when you left years ago you said Aurora was making you mad by acting like my fated mate,” Logan insisted, his voice tinged with confusion. “You were leaving because you were upset by her back then, weren’t you?”

The second Isabel heard his desperate voice, asking for confirmation. She paused and later on chuckled. “Oh, that? Did you believe that? My adorable Alpha. I was just. kidding! I thought you knew I was messing around!”

A joke, she said?

I wanted to laugh all the sarcasm away but I was left boiling in so much anger, I didn’t even care if I was trapped in here, roaming around instead of going to the moon. How dare this woman treat what she told Logan like a stupid joke? Her lies messed up everything for me!

Isabel noticed Logan’s strange expression and couldn’t help but giggle nervously, covering her mouth with her hand. “Oh, come on, you don’t really believe me, do you?

It was just a joke! I mean, sure, I got a bit annoyed seeing Aurora sneaking around behind you like a stalker, so I thought, why not give her a taste of her own medicine? But did you seriously fall for that?”

This time, she laughed again and lightly poked the Alpha’s arm, teasing him. “Hey, aren’t you two supposed to be mates? What happened to trust? You can’t be seriously doubting your Luna, right?” Isabel’s eyes sparkled with mischief as she enjoyed her little game. Meanwhile, Logan’s face got even paler, like he’d seen a ghost.

Suddenly, he slapped her, so hard.
