Chapter 909 Their Female Partners (Part Two)

The Yu family's customs business, for example, had immensely grown in recent years. Currently, the

earlier than me?" he said, almost teasingly. Amanda had never seen him smiling at her like that. For

the time they were together, Mike had always been polite and distant, or even vigilant.

"Yes. Lawrence is also here and he is at the rest room with Tim," Alice said.

Amanda and Melisa couldn't be more familiar with the mentioned names. They even knew that Tim was

Greg's best friend, also the man Alice married.

The moment Mike put forward the proposal, Melisa was very concerned. "The two of you should go.

Amanda and I will look around the hotel, and you can go down when the party starts," she said to Greg.

It was reasonable proposal to Greg and Mike too, so they agreed and turned away, leaving Amanda

and Melisa behind.

They thought Alice would come with them, but strangely she stayed back with the ladies.

Amanda and Melisa knew Alice well. They were aware that Alica had quite a resume. Even the most

influential men like Greg and Mike respected her. Raking in millions of dollars form her internationally

acclaimed fashion designs, Alice Lu was a name to reckon with, even among the super-rich. And apart

from money, she had influence and connections in the elite circle, too, benefited from her designing

business.

"Nice to meet you, Miss Lu! I am Amanda Wang!" Amanda broke the ice, extending her hand for

greetings.

"Nice to meet you, too!" Alice returned the kind gesture, but immediately continued, "Are you Mike's

girlfriend, if I may ask?"

"Oh, no! I am just his female partner tonight!" Amanda explained.

"Oh, I see," Alice smiled knowingly but didn't say a word more. She then turned to Melisa.

"Hello, Miss Lu!"

Instead of accepting Melisa's greetings, Alice asked, "Miss Ouyang, are you also here to attend the

party as Greg's female partner?"

"Yes, Miss Lu! I am just his female partner. I know that Greg is married and I also know that his wife is

your best friend." Alice had all these information at her fingertips, but she still asked so to pick out what

Melisa and Amanda were thinking.

"You are right! Violet is indeed my best friend! We are like sisters!" Alice responded and gave her a big

smile. She then stretched her hand to hold Melisa's.

"I understand you guys must be tight," said Melisa Ouyang. "Actually, my dad says the friendship

between your families goes some generations back. Plus, I also know that Miss Violet, Greg and you

were classmates at one point," she added, a smile crossing her face. At this point, Melisa Ouyang was

no longer uptight. She seemed she'd have talked on were it not for a waiter who came by to serve them

wine.

"Miss Ouyang, I think we could be good friends in the future," Alice said, implying that she shouldn't hit

on Greg. However, though Melisa had expressed that she had nothing going on with Greg, It couldn't

stop her if she really admired Greg.

"Let's have cheers for our future friendship!" Melisa Ouyang proposed as she lifted the glass for a toast

with Alice and Amanda Wang.

Then they gracefully engaged in some small talk and hearty laughter while they sipped their wine.
