We stopped at his mom’s house. It was a nice detached house. It wasn’t like she was super rich. She lived like a normal person not super fancy like her son.

“Hello Katy,” Noah said to the young very alive girl who opened the door.

“Dada,” she said running to his hands. “You came,” she said and he hugged her. Dada? does he have a daughter this big? I thought

“Is mom home?” he asked. He didn’t even know if his mom was home and still he brought me here.

“She just came back from a shopping spree,” she said excitedly. “And who is this?” she said motioning to me. “This isn’t Nichole,” she said and I smiled at him.

“Aren’t you going to let us inside?” he asked her with a smile.

“Sorry brother,” she said and we followed her as she hopped her way to the living room. “I will go get Mother,” she said then left us

“That’s my sister,” he said and I nodded.

“She seems so happy” I admit “And young,” I say and he laughs lightly.

“She is young. I’m older than her with nine years” he said and my eyes widened. “She is in her last year in high school” he finished.

“Noah” a voice came low and gentle but happy behind us. We turned slowly and Noah’s face turned to a smile at the sight of the woman.

“Mom,” he said going to hug her. She hugged him back.

“You finally came,” she said and turned to me before a frown crossed her face.

“Yeah I came to tell you something,” he said pulling her to the couch.

“Where is Nichole?” she asked. This Nichole must have been the ex girl friend.

“We broke up Mom,” he said obviously not wanting to talk about the topic.

“Why?” she asked. I think she was sticking her nose too much in his business.

“She broke up with me saying she was tired of sticking with me and fighting all the time” he explained.

“And you just let her go?” she asked like he had thrown a billion dollars into the trash can.

“She wanted to go. If you ask her mom she is dating someone already. She didn’t wait to move on” he mumbled.

“Noah, I see you have moved on already,” she said sticking her face in my direction.

“Mom this is Rachael Mirchoff,” he said and his mom looked at me weirdly.

“Who are your parents?” she asked and I shifted uncomfortably in my seat.

“Jasper was Alice Mirchoff” I answer and she furrows her eyebrow. “Owners of Bloom catering events,” I say and her eyes come together to realization.

“That aside Mom, we have something to tell you” Noah cut her off from interrogating me any further.

“I’m having a baby,” Noah said and I was lost for words at the way he said it. Having a baby?

“What do you mean” his mom asked with her mouth hanging open.

“Mom, Rachael is carrying my baby” he declared and her eyes snapped to me.

“You little brat”, his mom said marching over to where were sat. “Stand up,” she said when she was right in my front. “Why did you do this? You must have been one of those girls who liked to enslave a guy to like you and this was the best way to do it right?” she asked me and I was confused.

Did she eat some aloe vera plant today?

“Mom, what are you saying? It was a one night stand something” Noah said in a defensive tone.

“Stay out of this,” his mom said casting Noah a dirty look.

“Why did you follow him to that club?” she asked me and I was still lost for words. “You knew he had broken up with Nichole so you went over there and had him enslaved in your trap and I can see that you actually worked wonders,” she said in a nasty tone.

“Sorry Mrs. Lorraine but I wouldn’t tolerate you speaking such foul words about me” I finally found my voice and courage to speak to her.

“Shut up” she snarled anger radiating from each word. “You have won now?” she asks the anger still in her.

“Mom what are you saying you just met her and she didn’t do anything wrong,” Noah said trying to reason with his mom.

“This” she motioned to me “was the reason you broke up with Nichole?” she asked him and I was disgusted by her. She didn’t even know me and yet she was so quick to judge me. I hope I don’t start crying here.

“Mom,” Noah said with heavy breaths trying to control his anger. “Nichole broke up with and moved in a few days later with my best friend,” he said obviously not pleased at discussing this topic.

“You did something to make such a sweet girl as Nichole do something like that” his mom defended this Nichole. She must have been deaf because he just said she moved in with his male best friend and that isn’t a good sign it means they have been seeing each other all these times.

“Mom I don’t care what you think but Rachael is pregnant with my baby and I’m going to marry her in a few months,” he said and she turned to me and soon a slap landed on my face.

“Mom” Noah yelled out and my eyes widened at the slap I just received. My parents never laid a finger on me my whole life.

“Stay out of it Noah, she is just a slut like her mother,” she said, and anger that I had been suppressing rushed through my veins.

“Mrs. Lorraine I will not have you talk about my mom like that,” I say red flashing in my eyes.

“Please get her out of my sight,” she said not even unfazed by what I had said to her.

“Mom, it doesn’t matter what you said we are getting married we will send you an invitation to meet her parents,” Noah said his hand finding a way to mine.

“Noah you will marry only the girl I choose for you” she roared at him.

“And you will stay out of my business and support me” Noah roared back. He turned to me “Let’s go”
