Chapter 44 Never Give Up
Chapter 44 Never Give Up
Queen Kane said solemnly, "Don't ask questions that you shouldn't. He doesn't want others to know;
that's why he never talks about it."
Jennie bowed and said, "Yes!"
"Let's see what he lacks and give him whatever he wants. Try your best to make friends with him and
don't offend him!" Queen Kane said seriously.
"I understand. I'll do it now!"
Atlas was sent back to Lanceham by Beckett. Beckett specially transferred the money to Atlas' Violet
Gold Card which was customized without a fixed deposit limit.
With a splutter of apologies from Beckett along the way, Atlas returned to Avondale Road.
As soon as he arrived at the gate of the quarters, an old man in a long robe with disheveled hair
suddenly rushed out from the corner.
It was Zander Scott, whom Atlas saved that night.
"Master, I finally found you!" Zander exclaimed.
Atlas was a little surprised. The last time he saw Zander, although he was in danger, he looked like a
sage with a neat hairstyle.
However, now he actually looked like a beggar.
"How did you find this place?" Atlas was somewhat curious.
Zander looked up at the sky and put on a pondering look. He said excitedly, "Master, this is the will of
heaven that made me meet you again. It's the will of heaven that made you accept me as your
disciple!"
Atlas rolled his eyes at him. Suddenly, he approached to stare at Zander's. His eyes were sparkling like
the sun, the moon, and the stars were swimming in there.
Atlas' voice was ethereal and hollow, as if coming from beyond. "The will of heaven is nothing. I
defeated it once!"
The Eight Phases of Cultivation, one phase, one tribulation. Every time he ascended to the next phase,
he would fight against the heavens.
In his previous life, Atlas was at the Immortal Emperor Phase. After seven heavenly tribulations, it was
equivalent to him defeating the heaven seven times!
Zander was startled by Atlas and sat down on the ground. However, the old crook still had some skills
and soon woke up from the illusion in Atlas' eyes.
"Haha, Master, you must be joking. The power of heaven is mighty. How can a mortal compete with it?
Don't scare me!" Zander smiled awkwardly.
"What if I want to go against heaven? Are you still willing to be my disciple?" Atlas said coldly with a
serious face.
"Fight with... the heavens?" Zander felt a chill down his spine.
What a joke! Although he was old, he had not lived enough!
Zander wanted to run away, but he was not reconciled. He searched all over the country for decades.
Finally, he found Atlas. He could not give up just like that!
"If I can really fight against the heavens once, then even if I die, it will be worth it!" Zander thought to
himself.
Having made up his mind, Zander said seriously, "I spent half of my life looking for you. It's been
decades. God pitied me and finally let me meet you! Even if I have to defy heaven, I will never retreat!"
"Master, please accept me!"
Atlas was a little surprised. He did not expect Zander was yearning for cultivation so much.
"Answer me first. How did you find out about this place?" Atlas was very curious about it.
Zander said with an embarrassed smile, "Master, I found you according to the address of the
supermarket printed on the plastic bag you bought that day!"
"I've racked my brain to look for you!" As he spoke, Zander began to show off his misery and burst into
tears.
Atlas actually admired the old liar's perseverance.
"That's enough. Stop whining like a baby, old man. "
Zander immediately stopped crying and smiled, "Master, do you agree to accept me?"
Atlas said, "I never accept disciples easily, and not anyone could be my disciple. You'd better give up!"
After that, Atlas was ready to leave.
"Wait, master, as long as you are willing to accept me, I will tell you a big secret!"
Atlas stopped, turned his head and said, "Stop trying to fool me. Give up!"
"Master, look at what this is!" Zander suddenly took out an iron piece, black colored with a tint of red. It
was as big as a child's palm with extremely smooth edge. Obviously, it had been carried by someone
for many years.
Atlas suddenly realized that it was not an iron piece but a scale, containing a breath of dragon.
"Where did you get this?" Atlas stared at Zander and asked seriously.
"Master, it seems that you really know this thing! If you are willing to accept me as your disciple, I will
tell you! Otherwise, I won't tell you anything even if you kill me!"
Zander raised his neck, as if he was ready to die.
However, no matter how Atlas looked at him, he felt he looked like a rascal.
"You are really not qualified to be my disciple. But I can accept you as an honorary disciple first and will
consider officially accepting you later if you perform well in the future." Atlas said.
"Just an honorary disciple?" Zander was a little dissatisfied.
"Forget it if you don't want to." After saying that, Atlas left. Although he was very interested in the origin
of the scale in Zander's hand, when he returned to the Gold Core Phase, he could go find the owner of
the scale himself when he was able to travel around the world in a day.
"Master, wait, I am willing! It's better than being rejected!" Zander said.
"This scale was actually left behind by my old master. He found the owner of the scale and died there."
Zander recalled.
Atlas asked, "Where is that place?"
"Draca Lake in the Double Head Mountain, Hugyeon Town!"
"The northernmost part in Ridges." Atlas said.
"Yes, when my master found it, it was already 65 feet long. Now more than ten years have passed, and
that beast must be even more difficult to deal with!" Hatred flashed across Zander's face.
Atlas simply said, "A hundred feet makes a dragon. This evil creature was 65 feet long over a decade
ago. It seems that it is not far from becoming a true dragon!"
Zander asked, "Master, can you kill it?"
Atlas pondered for a moment and said, "Not now!"
"Okay!"
Atlas looked at Zander and said, "Since you are already my honorary disciple, come and find me in
three days!"
Zander was overjoyed. "Thank you, master!"
"Don't tell anyone about me, or I'll destroy both your body and soul!" Atlas' voice was cold as if it came
from the deepest hell.
Zander trembled with fear and quickly bowed, "Master, don't worry. I understand!"
"Go ahead."
"I'll take my leave!" Zander stepped back and left.
When Atlas returned home, Viviana was sitting on the sofa looking at her mobile phone. Giorgio and
Francis should be seeing patients in the clinic.
Seeing Atlas, Viviana asked, "Did Beckett make things difficult for you?"
"He doesn't have the guts." Atlas said lightly and walked to the bedroom.
Viviana wanted to have a chat with Atlas to improve their relationship, but when she saw Atlas' arrogant
attitude, she was furious.
Moreover, Atlas did not give her a chance at all. Seemed like he didn't even bother to talk to her.
Viviana was so angry that she grabbed the pillow on the sofa and threw it at the bedroom door.
Her chest heaved violently, and her beautiful face was full of anger.

reversed.
However, when she thought of Beckett's respectful attitude to Atlas, she had to suppress her anger.
"Atlas, I must find out your secrets!"
