Chapter 153 What A Coincidence

Nathael was initially in a good mood but turned grim upon hearing this sentence.

So, is she looking for someone else?

His dark eyes stared directly at the woman in front of him, who was fearless and arrogant. His narrow eyes. were sharp and cold, filled with suppressed anger. He wished he could strangle her neck.

Don’t even think about it!” Nathael spoke coldly.

Maggie was not angry either. She curled her lips, looking at him with a restrained yet controlled expression but appearing helpless against herself. She couldn’t help but turn her head to look out the window, a hint of amusement in her eyes.

She was a wicked woman.

On one hand, she feared being hurt and guarded her heart, unwilling to fully commit. On the other hand, she greedily desired him to love her more.

After all, who wouldn’t hope to become the sole and cherished one?

Indeed, in his past life, Nathael had already proven his feelings for her. However, the past and the present were ultimately different, weren’t they?

Alex was on edge the whole time, afraid that Maggie might provoke Nathael and get herself killed.

Fortunately, they narrowly avoided any danger. Surprisingly, the CEO, known for his unpredictable moods and lack of patience, showed remarkable tolerance towards Ms. Adam.

The car stopped in the parking lot of an international shopping mall. Maggie hooked her finger around Nathael’s and asked, “Where to?”

“Dinner. There’s a nice French restaurant here,” Nathael said, holding her hand. He gently caressed her delicate fingers with his fingertips, feeling strange. Yet he couldn’t bring himself to let go.

Maggie couldn’t help but feel a bit hopeful. In just two days, she would be returning home.

This trip had been so tight, and she hadn’t had a chance to enjoy herself properly.

Of the three designers that the Camerons intended to recruit, two of them would never work for Honor Wide again in their lifetime. The last one, named Albert, seemed like a nuisance to Maggie.

Albert was a sharp–tongued bald man, around forty years old. He was very talented in design, often focusing on eccentric styles.

Maggie remembered that after Albert joined Honor Wide, a series of his creations encountered a serious problem. They didn’t resonate well with the audience.

Shortly after, he got involved in a plagiarism scandal, and his reputation plummeted. He didn’t make much of an impact at Honor Wide and could be considered the one with the worst development among the three who joined Honor Wide.

Therefore, Maggie had no intention of stopping Albert from joining Honor Wide. After all, sticking together only suited disliked individuals.

After they were seated, the waiter promptly brought the menu. Maggie requested her assistance in recommending dishes and casually ordered several highly recommended dishes.

Nathael probably had been here a few times before, so he didn’t ask for her opinion and instead ordered a few dishes according to her taste.

Before long, the dishes started arriving one by one.

At this moment, a woman wearing a pink camisole paired with shorts ascended to the second floor.

Beth took off her sunglasses and looked around as if searching for someone.

Without much effort, she spotted Nathael sitting by the window and the woman across from him.

Beth’s heart tightened, and her face couldn’t help but show a strained and uncomfortable expression.

He is indeed with Maggie,

Beth felt uneasy. Initially, Nathael’s business trip to Yatria didn’t seem like a big deal, but she heard about Maggie’s visit for an exchange program.

Being in the same city, Misk City, she couldn’t help but conclude. Without much thought, she immediately booked a flight to rush over.

However, it wasn’t easy to track down Nathael’s whereabouts. Besides some insignificant individuals who didn’t know much, his close associates wouldn’t reveal any information.

Beth tried to contact him through messages and calls, but he ignored her.

She could only rely on luck and come here to try her chances. After waiting three days, she didn’t expect to finally run into them.

However, seeing the man and woman in front of her inexplicably, Beth didn’t feel joy at the sight of Nathael. Instead, she felt a suffocating discomfort and uncase she couldn’t articulate

Beth adjusted her emotions and walked towards the two of them, pretending it was a chance encounter.

Upon seeing Nathael, Beth couldn’t help but pause for a few seconds. “Nathael? What a coincidence, you’re

here too!”

The sudden voice of the woman carried a hint of surprise and familiarity.

Maggie glanced up and couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle. What a coincidence indeed!

Across half of Heplait, they finally encounter each other by chance in a foreign country.

It’s truly a coincidence!

Beth turned to look at Maggie, her smile fading slightly. “Ms. Adam, you’re here too.”

“Yeah,” Maggie said. Her delicate hand propped up her chin as she looked at Beth as if watching a play, Its was clear she had no intention of greeting her warmly.

Too fake! Even if she squeezed out a smile, she and Beth would never be friends.

Since that’s the case, there was no need to waste any emotions.

“Nathacl always thought the food in this restaurant was good. We’ve eaten here together a few times. before. Ms. Adain, you must try it.”

Beth spoke in a gentle tone, quickly adjusting her emotions. Her words were polite and graceful, hinting at subtle sarcasm but otherwise impeccable.

Listening to her words, Maggie glanced at Nathael across from her.

Has he come here a few times with Beth?

Nathael’s expression remained unchanged as he spoke frankly, “There’s a ski club here. We used to come together with a group of about seven or eight people organised by Jimmy.”

Upon hearing this, Maggie nodded.

So, that’s how it was. She had thought that given Nathael’s personality, it didn’t seem likely for him to come here with Beth.

Beth’s smile stiffened slightly, not expecting Nathel to speak and explain.

“Was it fun?” Maggie asked curiously. Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.

Nathael thought momentarily before speaking gently. “It wasn’t that interesting. If you want fun, I can take you to St. Moritz. It’ll be much more enjoyable there.”

Maggie momentarily thought, realising that her interest wasn’t very high.

Maggie disliked the cold and bulky clothing. Wearing thick ski suits and possibly falling flat on her face again made her feel slightly resistant.

Listening to their conversation, Beth’s hand holding her bag tightened involuntarily, feeling somewhat absent–minded.

She had never seen him this gentle before or witnessed him treating any woman so well.

So, is Maggie really different from him?

But why should a woman like her be any different?

Perhaps it was because Beth’s gaze was too intense. Nathael furrowed his brows slightly and looked at her, asking straightforwardly, “Aren’t you leaving?”

A blunt and somewhat impolite way of asking her to leave, evidently lacking the patience he had shown when dealing with Maggie.

Beth didn’t feel embarrassed. She smiled and said, “I just happened to bump into you, so I thought I’d say hello.”

Nathael’s eyes remained deep, and he didn’t say anything further.

At that moment. Beth’s phone rang. She apologised and turned to walk to a comer to answer the call.

Maggie’s gaze swept over Beth’s back, and then she turned to Nathael. Slowly, she said, “I bet she’ll come over and join us after she finishes her call.”
