“Maggiel

Perhaps due to agitation or the effect of alcohol. In short, just as her name was called, Maggie’s legs went weak. She barely had time to react, slipping and falling to the ground.

Her buttocks hit the ground first, and her tailbone was burning with pain.

Maggie’s eyes were filled with stars of pain, and the pain made her vision darken. Tears swirled in her eyes.

D’mn! It hurt like hell!

Maggie wondered if she was having bad luck or if Nathael was cursing her.

“Knock knock!” The knocking sounded again, just as Maggie was about to speak. In the next instant, Nathael pushed open the bathroom door.

n

Inside, a woman sat on the ground wearing only thin clothing, her eyes rimmed red, looking pitiful and aggrieved.

Her fair skin was exposed. In the mist that hadn’i yet dispersed in the bathroom, she looked hazy and sexy.

Nathael hesitated, clearly taken aback by the unexpected sight.

Maggie regained her composure, instinctively covering her chest, her eyes filled with irritation. “Get out!”

This is so embarrassing!

I’m not shameless, you know!

Nathael didn’t budge. His lips pressed together lightly as he approached and crouched beside her. “Where are you hurt?”

His voice was low, his eyes still dark, but as he glanced at her, there was a hint of less tenderness than before.

Maggie’s lips were pursed lightly, her whole demeanour filled with indignation. There was a mist of tears. in her eyelashes, clearly showing her anger and frustration, but she refused to let herself cry.

What is this?

Did he call me over just to tease me? To see me embarrassed?

“Get out! Who let you in?” Maggie felt incredibly uncomfortable all over, her cheeks burning hot.

Nathael didn’t ask any more questions. He wrapped a towel around her and lifted her, carrying her to the bed.

Maggie turned away, not wanting to look at him. As she moved, she felt a sharp pain in her tailbone again, enough to make her want to cry.

That fall just now seemed particularly heavy. Even the slight tipsiness she had felt before seemed to vanish in the face of the pain.

Nathael frowned and spoke in a deep voice, “Let me take a look.”

“No!” Maggie blurted out, pulling away and wrapping the towel around herself tightly.

hurts and is embarrassing!

Nathael pulled her back into his arms and whispered, I’ve seen it all, what’s there to be scared of?”

Hearing this, Maggie got even angrier. Tears streamed down her face uncontrollably, leaving light marks on her cheeks. She looked vulnerable and attractive, stirring a desire to comfort her.

“You’re so proud of yourself, huh?” Maggie glared at him, furious,

Little did she know, the next moment, Nathael pressed her onto his lap. With the towel between them, his hand landed on her body, applying a bit of pressure.

Nathae

Maggie felt incredibly embarrassed, shaking with anger. When he touched the sore spot again, she couldn’t help but tremble all over, tears falling rapidly.

Feeling the warmth of her tears falling on his pants, Nathael was stunned for a moment.

The warm tears, through the thin fabric, felt like they were burning his skin, as if they landed on his heart.

The bone’s fine, Nathael said, his voice low.

Seeing him stop, Maggie swiftly got up and moved away, keeping her distance as she wrapped herself in the towel, saying nothing.

Just then, a knock sounded at the door.

Nathael furrowed his brow and rose to answer it.

“Sir, I’m really sorry. I accidentally delivered some clothes to the wrong room earlier…

The female attendant seemed uneasy and embarrassed, tinged with a hint of worry.

Maggie perked up her ears, listening to the activity outside.

Clothes?

Delivered to the wrong room?

What clothes?

She instinctively glanced at the row of flamboyant and fancy outfits on the rolling rack, stunned.

Realising this, Maggie almost choked.

Were they not arranged by Nathael? Was it an accident?

“The clothes have been sorted out,” Nathael said firmly, Indicating he didn’t want the attendant to enter.

The female attendant was taken aback for a moment, then quickly bowed again, apologizing, “I’m really sorry for the inconvenience. It was my mistake to mix up the room number. I’ll be more careful next time.”

ry gaze.

As the door closed, Nathael turned back to the bedroom, meeting Maggle’s teary

Her bright red lips sparkled, tears streaking her fair face, as if she had been deeply wronged.

“Those clothes weren’t your idea?” Maggie finally spoke up.

Nathael raised an eyebrow. “I’m not that weird.

Hearing this, Maggie’s anger rose, almost choking her. Then why did you seem to enjoy it so much?”

“I didn’t want to let you down by not being interested.” Nathael smirked, realising it was all just a misunderstanding.

With tears glistening. Maggie clenched her teeth. “If you didn’t arrange it, why didn’t you speak up?”

Nathael’s voice was calm. “I thought you had prepared it.”

Those words left Maggie at a loss for words.

So, she had unfairly accused this guy, who hadn’t even thought about it. And here she was, foolishly believing he was deliberately teasing her in different ways.

Maggie’s vision darkened, feeling like it would be better to just drop dead on the spot.

She didn’t want to face anyone ever again.

Nathael, that heartless jerk, was deliberately messing with me!

Just thinking about it made Maggie’s tailbone ache even more painful. She felt a mix of embarrassment, frustration, and anger. Tears streamed down her checks like scattered pearls.

Nathael stood there, momentarily stunned. While he had seen her cry before, he had never seen her like this.

The physical pain was one thing, but Maggie was mainly feeling embarrassed.

Sniffling, her nose turning red, her lips pressed together tightly, and her vision blurred slightly with tears, she felt increasingly upset.

Nathael was toying with her!

Not only did he not believe her, but he also kept making sarcastic remarks and challenging her.

The more Maggie thought about it, the more she felt like a fool, putting on a show while he watched and chuckled at her expense.

The more Maggie dwelled on it, the harder her tears fell.

“Are you feeling that upset?” Nathael furrowed his brow, pulling her back into his arms and gently wiping away her tears.

Maggie turned her head away, ignoring him completely.

Nathael’s eyes were piercing and intense as he held her chin, meeting her gaze directly. He whispered, “I like it.”
