Chapter 65
Wilbur hardly reacted to the voice. “Thanks for the warning, but I quite enjoy being
“You took my company and almost sent me to jail. One of us is going down. Just wait,” the voice responded viciously.
Wilbur chuckled. “Well, I won’t fight your bravado, then. Show me whatever you’ve got.”
Upon that, he hung up the call at once. Back when he had been in the army, he was accustomed to being threatened at gunpoint by some of the world’s most elite fighters. A call like this was nothing to him.
This kind of threat was far too hollow.
Faye could tell something was off, so she asked, “What happened?”
“Oh, it’s nothing. I think Blake’s been let out of jail,” Wilbur said calmly.
Faye’s expression seemed to grow solemn. “Did he threaten you?”
“Well, there’s nothing he can really threaten me with. Don’t you worry.” Wilbur said.
Faye gave it some thought, then nodded silently.
With how powerful Wilbur was, Blake was honestly not much of a threat.
A moment later, Faye said, “I was going to give Blake some leeway so he could spend the rest of his life in considerable peace, but it seems like I’ve got to change my plans now.”
“Oh? What are you planning to do?” Wilbur smiled.
Faye said, “He put you through all that humiliation and schemed against you, so I was just planning to take control over his company and leave him a fraction of the shares so he could still live off that. Now, I think I’m going to kick him out altogether.
Wilbur thought about it briefly, then said, “You can decide what you want to do with that yourself ”
Wilbur did not like nor care about Blake in the slightest.
Wilbur had been intent on Blake’s demise from the second he saw Yvonne cheating on him with Blake and kicking him out of the Willow family.
However, Blake still dared to threaten him instead of regretting his actions.
If he dared to do anything to Wilbur or Faye, Blake would suffer far more than just losing everything.
Faye nodded, her gaze flashing murderously.
Having made it as the CEO of a company like Cape International, Faye had decent skills and courage. She would have been kicked to the curb otherwise. Someone like Blake hardly scared her. Instead, it only hardened her resolve to take him down
completely.
Just then, Wilbur said, “Alright. You should get some rest.”
Faye had been planning to spend the night drafting out a plan, and thus followed suit and said goodbye to Wilbur
Wilbur sat in the living room for a while before returning to his room to meditate.
Just then, Jose was lying on the bed in the guest room he slowly cultivated the aura that had been fed into his body just now.
As time passed, Jose was shocked when he realized that his injuries had healed about two–thirds of the way under Wilbur’s powerful energy. Jose’s aura was also beginning to restore İtself.
That was practically a miracle to him.
Amidst his shock, he could silently sense the energy that Wilbur had lept in his body. A while later, he sat up in disbelief.
Spirit energy.
Wilbur had been using spirit energy
As a cultivator, Jose knew that being able to cultivate an aura was already a pretty grand feat.
Yet, at the end of the day, aura was still just a form of energy manifested from within the body.
Spirit energy, however, was a different story. Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
That was an energy that came from absorbing and channeling the energy of the universe. That was something only a person of ultimate power and skill could do, a far cry from the aura blows and the likes that Jose knew of.
Jose was suddenly filled with great respect for Wilbur as he finally realized just how powerful and terrifying Wilbur was.
The next morning, Wilbur finished meditating and freshened up before walking out of his room to see Jose standing in the living room waiting for him respectfully.
“I take it that you’ve healed up without any issues,” Wilbur stated.
