Chapter 671: Jared is Your Only Way Out
Five Poisons listened to the man's words with satisfaction. She stood up straight and gently tapped the man's shoulder with her slender fingertips, "You are to shoulder great responsibilities in the future. Remove those words of self-doubt; I admire you for that."
The man slightly lowered his head, his face showing little emotion, "Yes, I understand."
Five Poisons, pleased, patted the man's face and then yawned and returned to her room to rest.
The man stood still for a while, a hint of coldness seeping into his eyes.
At that moment, his personal phone rang from his pocket, an overseas call.
"Uh, what? Okay, I got it."
The man coldly hung up the phone and turned to leave.
Grace made her way to the Pace family home. Since she had visited before and got along well with Boris, the guards at the door did not stop her.
After some checks, Grace finally entered the Pace family home.
Unexpectedly, as soon as she entered, she saw Jared sitting in the living room, chatting happily with Leo.
Grace paused in her steps, surprised to see him there!
Jared, as if he hadn't seen her, continued talking with Leo.
Only Boris approached her, and the two went to the back garden.
"How could you be so careless? How could you let Linden drive you away? Do you know how much effort I put into getting you in there?"
Boris began with a reproach. If it hadn't been for Leo's recent ill health, he would have already gone to check what was going on with Grace's head!
Such a small task, and she failed!
Grace felt wronged. How could she have known that an armored vehicle transporting a criminal would end up being hijacked? The X Bureau had been searching for so long, and still, there was no trace of the person. Now even the headquarters couldn't protect Grace.
She could only wait for news.
But now, Grace didn't have much time left, Five Poisons had already abandoned her, and if she didn't find someone to shelter her soon, her fate might be even worse than before.
"I didn't expect things to turn out like this, Mr. Pace. Now, you are the only one who can help me. If you don't help me, I really don't know what to do!" Grace clutched Boris's wrist, "Mr. Pace, don't forget, I can save Rachel. Help me this time, and I promise to find Rachel, okay?"
Boris frowned, "Now you only have one way out, and whether you succeed or not is up to you."
"What way?" Grace's eyes lit up.
Boris pointed to Jared, still playing chess with Leo in the living room, "Him."
"What do you mean?"
"Although Jared has left the X Bureau, he is still closely linked with the White family. In the X Bureau, captains like Nathan, and others such as Christopher, are his people. If you want to get back into the X Bureau, only he can make it happen." Grace pursed her lips, "But..."
How could Jared possibly agree?
The grievances between them ran deep, getting him to speak up might be harder than getting a dog to give up a bone!
"Today he didn't even bring a driver. You'll have to find another way, good luck."
Boris handed Grace a spray and then left.
Grace looked at the spray in her hand and took a deep breath.
In the living room, Jared said goodbye to Leo, "Leo, I should get going now. Take care of yourself. I'll bring Tina to see you once she's less busy. Oh, and Tina specifically reminded you to take your medication on time. I've brought it with me." Leo nodded with a meaningful smile, "Understood, you better head back now. Be careful on the road."
Jared got the message, "Yes."
As Jared stepped out of the Pace family's grand entrance, he saw Grace standing there, looking troubled. "Mr. Farrell, are you done with your business?" Grace asked, holding her bag and looking shyly at Jared.

Jared looked Grace up and down, his eyes revealing a hint of chill, "Something wrong?"
Grace nodded with difficulty, "My car broke down, and the tow truck hasn't arrived yet. I'm in a hurry to get back to the city. Could you possibly give me a ride?"
Jared chuckled, unlocking his car, "Please."
Grace was surprised; she hadn't expected Jared to agree so easily, having thought she would need to argue more.
Of course, she thought. With Tina not around, his true nature was showing!
Grace took the passenger seat, hiding a spray in her bag.
"About before, you don't hold it against me anymore, do you?"
Jared raised an eyebrow and smiled, "I don't remember."
"Thank you. I don't know how to repay you," she said.
"How about you accompany me somewhere?" he proposed.
Grace chuckled to herself.
She was right; Jared wasn't as cold as he appeared to be.
It was all an act when Tina was by his side.
Men are all the same; a little lure and they fall right into the trap.
No effort needed!
"Sure, where are we going?" Grace asked, casually resting her fingertips on Jared's shoulder.
Jared squinted his eyes and sidestepped her touch, "It will definitely please you."
In his eyes, Grace's hand was nothing but an ugly hoof.

"Okay, I'll do as you say."
Grace let go of the spray in her bag; it seemed she wouldn't need it after all.
Living on an estate, the Pace family was surrounded by secluded lands, making for a long journey.
Grace fell asleep in the car without realizing.
In her dream, she and Jared were tumbling passionately on a large round bed, with Jared pathetically under her control.
She had taken Tina's place, forcing Tina to kneel on the ground, repeatedly slapping her own face, apologizing over and over! Grace laughed in her sleep; she knew it was all hers!
At YQ Labs, Wraith stroked his chin, looking at the woman on the surgery bed.

Tina shook her head, "Who knows? Maybe she's having a pleasant dream."
Wraith clicked his tongue, "I just can't stand seeing people dreaming and laughing."
Saying that, Wraith stepped forward and slapped Grace across her face.
Grace abruptly woke up, only to find her hands and feet tied to the surgery bed.
Beside her stood a man in a white coat, his face twisted with a sinister pleasure, and on the right, a madly laughing woman. Both stared intently at her, their laughter chilling.
"Who are you? Where is this? Where's Jared? Do you know who I am? How dare you tie me up like this! Are you out of your minds?" Grace struggled fiercely, but the chains binding her to the surgery bed were long yet offered no escape from her confines.
