Lost and Found: Return of My Mysterious Fiancee

Chapter 706: Elsa and Tina Depart

Elsa looked at Tina in shock, Tina's recent words echoing repeatedly in her mind-she could heal Austin's legs. Her life over the years had been worse than a dog's, not to mention healing Austin's legs.

After Austin's car accident, their entire family sold their house and spent all the money on him, only to be told that Austin's legs were beyond repair and could never be healed. Today, to her surprise, she heard someone say that Austin's legs could be healed. This truly was the only piece of good news she had heard in many years.

Elsa was stunned for a long time before she could react, and she was about to kneel down to Tina. Tina immediately helped her up. Unable to kneel, Elsa just clung to Tina's arm, crying, "Miss Reed, please, please save my husband. If you can heal him, I'm willing to do anything for you."

At that moment, Elsa's in-laws also came over and knelt down before Tina without a word. Since Tina was supporting Elsa, she couldn't help Elsa's in-laws, who knelt straight down in front of Tina, "Miss Reed, please, save my son. If he can stand again, we're also willing to do anything for you."

Tina pinched the bridge of her nose, helped Elsa stand properly, and then helped her in-laws up, saying helplessly, "Since I've promised, naturally I will heal your husband. You mustn't kneel to me again."

Tina usually wouldn't have the patience to say so much. But Elsa was her benefactor, and she could only patiently say, "Elsa, go pack up, and come with us now."

Elsa hesitated at first, but seeing Tina so earnest, she remained silent for only two seconds before agreeing, "Okay, I'll come with you."

The Dyer family didn't own much of value, but Elsa still took some essential living supplies. Staying in Tina's house was already a huge favor; she couldn't let Tina spend more on household goods.

When Tina saw them loading pots, pans, and various bags into the car, her brow twitched involuntarily. After a moment, she spoke, "You don't need to bring those; I've already had everything purchased."

Tina glanced at the items they were bringing and added, "You don't need to bring clothes either; I will have someone go buy them shortly."

"How can that be..."

Elsa started to object, only to hear Tina say, "Elsa, do as I say, don't feel burdened." "But..."

Elsa wanted to say more, but Tina continued, "That five thousand dollars you gave years ago might have been a small gesture for you, but for my daughter and me, it was a lifesaving grace. What I own now is much more than just a villa; what I'm giving you is merely one percent of my wealth."

Seeing Tina put it that way, Elsa could only nod, "Alright then."

Although she agreed verbally, she thought to herself that if there was a chance, she must repay Tina. The five thousand dollars she had given was not worth this much.

Soon, they all got into the car. Tina took a few children and rode in Cole's car, then said to Zackary and Sophia, "Sorry, Zackary, Sophia, I have something to handle today and can't take you out. I'll drop you off at the Reed family's home. You can play with Sally, and I'll take you out tomorrow."

Although Zackary and Sophia were a bit disappointed about not going out, they understood that Tina was helping Sally's family and happily agreed.

It wasn't long before the car stopped in a villa complex.

This is a wealthy neighborhood, and the moment Elsa's family stepped in, they felt uneasy. Especially Elsa, who felt as if she were dreaming. After the Dyer family's fall from grace, it had been over a decade since she had last seen a mansion. Seeing one now seemed surreal.

When Tina led them inside, Cole's team had already cleaned the entire villa, and not a single item was missing from the rooms. Tina asked Cole to help Austin to the sofa and began examining him right away. Elsa and her in-laws stood by, too nervous to even breathe.

Twenty minutes later, Tina stood up and said, "It's not a big problem. Starting the day after tomorrow, I will come every morning to perform acupuncture and apply my homemade ointment. If all goes well, he should be able to stand again within a month."

Elsa and her in-laws widened their eyes in surprise, "Really? Can he truly stand again?"

To be honest, although Elsa was shocked when Tina said she could heal Austin's legs and held a sliver of hope, she was mostly skeptical. After all, Tina looked so young, barely twenty years old, an age where most are busy dressing up or dating. Even if Tina knew a little about medicine, it was expected to be just that - a little.

Elsa believed Tina's words were merely meant to comfort her. But now, hearing Tina say she could cure him, Elsa was genuinely astonished. Just now, she had seen Tina press on Austin's leg, and it had actually reacted. Although she did not understand how Tina did it, the possibility of Austin's recovery was like a ray of light in her life.Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.

If Austin could recover, it would ease some of the guilt she carried. Because of her, the Dyer family had suffered too much. If possible, she would die if it meant a moment of peace for the Dyer family. But death was not easy! She wanted to die, but couldn't.

"Hmm," Tina nodded, "As long as your husband follows the treatment plan, he should be able to stand within a month at most."

That was her conservative estimate. If recovery went well, it might only take about twenty days.

"I will do exactly as you say," Austin was the most excited of all. Over the years, he had seen Elsa struggling alone to support their family, enduring immense pain. If he could stand again, he could help protect their home together with her. "Good," Tina glanced at the time, "You all should rest now."

After saying this, Tina pointed at Cole and informed Elsa, "His name is Cole. He will be responsible for your safety and any needs you have, just let him know."

"Thank you," Elsa said sincerely. Tina had grown immune to Elsa's frequent thanks. Without saying more, she turned to leave. Just as she reached the door, Elsa suddenly called out to her, "Miss Reed."

Tina paused, turning to look at her. Elsa watched Tina for a long while, then pursed her lips and said, "I can see that you are no ordinary person. The Bailey family, so formidable, yet you drove them away with ease. But why don't you ask me what I am holding, that has left me in such a dire state?"

Tina smiled, "I help you merely to repay a debt. Whatever you wish to protect, tell me if you want to; if not, I will help you protect it!"

With that, Tina didn't stay any longer, turning and leaving.
