Love is the Sunshine

Chapter 590 Johnny's Response (Part One)

Chapter 590 Johnny's Response (Part One)

Quite possibly, everyone in JA City knew what kind of man Johnny was.

But even though he had been such a flirt with the ladies, he was still a man with principles. Never in his

life had he ever taken anyone's side.

Meaning to say, this was the first time he stood up for a girl.

Carla, who had been watching him getting interviewed on TV, was truly touched by his kind gesture.

For that reason, she quickly grabbed her phone and dialed Johnny's number.

At this point, he was probably the only person was willing to actually stand up for her and defend her.

The words he said might sound a bit harsh, but she knew he only meant well.

"Hello?"

"Johnny, I… Thank you... I sincerely appreciate what you did."

Carla meant it from the bottom of her heart.

Not a lot of people would be brave enough to stand alongside her given the fact that the tension was

already quite high. Therefore, Johnny truly deserved every bit of her appreciation.

For a moment, all she heard was silence coming from the other end of the line. He fell quiet for a while. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

Then, he told her, "There's no need for you to thank me. I just got so sick and tired of those annoying

reporters. They had been waiting outside my house for days and wouldn't leave no matter what. You

should know that I've never been fond of hiding."

"Even so, thank you for speaking up for me!"

Carla replied.

For some reason, it seemed that Carla showing her appreciation for what he did made Johnny feel a

little embarrassed. "Can you please stop being too serious? I've almost forgotten about you already!

Now, your call is just messing me up in my head again." —

"I see. I'm sorry for bothering you. I'll just let you go then!" Carla blurted out as she burst into laughter.

It was like Johnny hadn't changed a bit even after all the years that she was gone. He still spoke his

mind just like he always did back then.

"Carla, now that you're back, you should be as happy as you could ever be! I swear I won't get jealous

if it's with Terence. If it's possible, please make a bunch of babies with him. Show me how happy you

are! The happier you are, the better I will also feel!

Do you know that my wife is almost due this month? I'm about to have a son! Can you imagine? Even

though we can't be with each other, that doesn't mean our babies can't in the future, either!"

Upon hearing such an absurd remark, Carla couldn't help but laugh, "My daughter is three years old

already. Don't you think your son would have come a bit too late?"

"So what? Older girls tend to take better care of people. In any case, it's already a done deal. You

daughter is going to be my son's wife! Well, there's a meeting I have to attend to! I will talk to you again

soon! See you around!"

Before Carla could give him a response, Johnny hung up the phone.

His assistant had actually been calling him twice already.

Because of that, Carla's response would have to wait until the next time they talk again. She began to

wonder just how in demand her daughter had become.

Right now, Sally was only three years old. To think that two of her friends were already talking about

their sons marrying her.

"Mommy, when is uncle Sean going to come over? I miss him so much!"

When she ran to Carla, Sally asked her mom, clutching and tugging on Carla's sleeves.

"Your Uncle Sean should be here soon. His final exams are about to end in just a couple of days. As

soon as he's done with his tests, he will be here right away."

Carla lifted Sally up and let her sit on her lap. After she planted a kiss on her daughter's cute little

cheek, Sally replied, "Are you sure? How many days are a couple of days, mommy?"

Raising her little hand, she went ahead and asked, "Can I count that with just one hand? "

"Hmm... Let me see... I think you probably can. Can you give me a minute and let Mommy check with

your uncle?"

Carla couldn't quite remember when exactly Sean would be done with his exams. However, she had

really been missing her brother as well. Sean had grown into a fine young man after four years.

He was no longer that little boy who always kept on following her wherever she went.

"Mommy, why don't you give him a call right now? I want to talk to Uncle Sean!"

Originally, Carla was planning to give Sean a call later in the evening. Be that as it might, since Sally

couldn't wait to talk to her uncle, she had no choice but to grab her phone right then and there and dial

Sean's number.

It didn't take too long for him to pick up the phone.

"Sean, when are you going to be done with your final exams? Will it be sometime this week? Oh, that's

great! I'll be waiting for you to come then. Let's head over to BH City during your break. Hmm... I

haven't really visited them yet since I got back."

After all, Sean was a son of the Ji Family. So, it would just be right for him to pay his parents a visit

whenever he could get the time to do so.

"Mommy! Give me the phone! I also want to talk to Uncle Sean!"

Sally could hardly wait for Carla to wrap up her conversation with Sean. Throughout the call, she kept

on bugging Carla to hand over the phone to her.

"Alright, I think that's about it. It was nice talking to you. But, Sally here wants to talk to you..."

Before Carla could finish what she was about to say, Sally grabbed the phone from her hand and

excitedly called Sean in such a sweet voice.

"Uncle Sean! I miss you so much!"

Carla helplessly shook her head as a smile crept onto her face while looking at Sally, who was having a

great time talking over the phone. The little girl just sounded so damn cute. Then, Carla got up and

walked toward her bedroom.
