Andrew furrowed his brow as he glanced at Madelyn still peacefully asleep in his arms. A hint of melancholy flashed in his eyes.

Since Andrew had transferred Starlight Entertainment to Natalie after Athena’s birthday celebration, they hadn’t seen each other again.

Inside the office, Natalie eagerly waited for Andrew. She happily turned around when she heard the office door open.

However, her smile froze as she saw Andrew carrying Madelyn. Her voice dropped as she greeted him.

“Andrew.”

Seeing Madelyn in Andrew’s arms, Natalie couldn’t help but feel a pang of jealousy.

She wondered why Madelyn deserved all this attention from him.

Andrew didn’t respond to Natalie, clearly concerned about waking Madelyn up. Thus, he carried her straight to the lounge.

He laid her on the bed and carefully tucked her in under the covers

Natalie, standing in the office, caught a glimpse of Andrew’s meticulous care for Madelyn through the door crack. It fueled her jealousy to madness.

After ensuring that Madelyn was comfortable, Andrew returned to face Natalie. He sat across from her on

the couch.

He furrowed his brow and looked at her.

“Spill it. What’s the matter?”

His voice was frigid, lacking any warmth.

Thinking about how tenderly Andrew had cared for Madelyn just moments ago only fueled Natalie’s

frustration.

She couldn’t believe that the relationship between her and Andrew had been a facade. He had always

treated her so well before.

Sensing her hesitation, Andrew raised an eyebrow. His eyes showed a hint of displeasure.

“If you have nothing important to say, please get out!”

“Andrew, how can you treat me like this?” Natalie finally spoke, her voice choked with resentment.

Andrew arched an eyebrow.

Natalie bowed her head.

Her hands nervously intertwined as she spoke with urgency, “Starlight Entertainment has had many celebrities recently trying to terminate their contracts.

Natalie originally intended to manage Starlight Entertainment well after it was transferred to her. She hoped to show Andrew what she could achieve.

However, she realized she lacked the business acumen. Without Leonard’s guidance, Starlight Entertainment was now struggling.

The popular celebrities Leonard promoted were now trying to terminate their contracts. Some were

willing to pay hefty penalties to switch to Aura Entertainment instead. Many advertising deals they had were now at risk of being breached.

Natalie had finally realized the harsh reality and was panicking.

“Andrew, this was the legacy Grandpa left me. I wanted to protect it, but I simply can’t.”

With tears streaming down her face, Natalie couldn’t hide her emotions.

Before this, when Leonard was still in charge, she was oblivious that Lance had left her Starlight Entertainment. She simply thought it was a company established by Andrew to support her.

She contemplated if she was simply naive or if everything was ruined by Madelyn.

Natalie harbored immense hatred toward Madelyn. Despite that, she figured that it was best to prioritize getting–through this wave of difficulties with Starlight Entertainment before figuring out how to deal with Madelyn.

“Andrew…

When Andrew remained silent, Natalie looked at him with sorrow and grievance.

“Are you really going to abandon me? Grandpa always said you would take care of me.”

Natalie had never been one to show vulnerability easily.

While under Andrew’s protection, Natalie had grown accustomed to an easy and pampered life. Consequently, she nurtured a haughty demeanor.

However, during this period, she faced obstacles at every corner without his protection and had to humble herself repeatedly. Despite that, those people still showed her no respect.

Her once passionate drive now clarified that without Andrew’s protection, she was nothing. She understood that losing Andrew’s protection would leave her vulnerable.

When Natalie mentioned “Grandpa“, Andrew’s eyes flashed with a hint of melancholy.

His gaze sharpened as he turned to Natalie.

“You should go back. Leonard will handle these matters.”

“Thank you, Andrew.”

Natalie was relieved when she heard that. She let out a breath.

However, Andrew paid no heed to Natalie’s admiration and hope in her eyes.

He coldly instructed, “Return now.” Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.

Yes. I won’t disturb you anymore, Andrew.”

This time, Natalie was sensible. She knew that pressing Andrew further would yield the opposite effect. Before Andrew’s patience waned, she swiftly rose and left.
