The wedding day.

*Eve’s POV

Today is finally the D – day, I spoke to Liam over the phone; that morning; he said romantic and sweet words and wishes too. We just couldn’t wait to see eachother soon.

Even after the make over artist was done making me look like a queen; my friends still helped in restyling my hair and dress.. They were all over me.

Soon, it was time to get out of the hotel and heed to the wedding hall.

The car door was opened for me.. Woah! Everyone is here.

Liam and I recent photoshoot were pasted everywhere, including in on a bill board.

They yelled ‘Congratulations’ and took several pictures of me as I walked gently into the hall with Janet and Helen at my both sides, looking stunning as well.

The bride arrival was announced, I sighted my father, he seemed to be the happiest.

I took a deep sigh as I headed toward the alter where Liam already was. He was looking more handsome, yeah! that’s my husband to be.

Liam smiled at me and came to meet me then we walked together to the alter with our arms intertwined. ‘You are looking so beautiful honey’ He whispered and my cheeks redden. Gosh! I was a little bit shy.

He priest led the ceremony when we got to the alter.

“Eve Joe, do you take Liam Maya to be your lawful wedded husband, to love and to hold, for better for worse, in sickness and in health, till death do you part ” The priest announced as Eve stood face to face with her husband to be, Liam.

“Yes, I do” She replied and took a deep breathe.

Smile drawn across the faces of the congregation as the priest moved into the lawful marriage rites, asking Eve to repeat after him..

“I, Eve promise to be faithful to you, to be with you, for better for worse, in sickness and in health.. till death do us apart”

The priest turned to Liam and repeated the same thing to him.

“Liam Maya, do you take Eve Joe to be your lawful wedded wife, to love and to hold, for better for worse, in sickness and in health, till death do you part ” The priest asked him the exact same thing.

“Yes I do” He answered and before the priest recited the second step.. He said it himself..

“”I, Liam Maya promise to be faithful to you, to be with you, forever, for better for worse, in sickness and in health.. till death do us apart” He said and the congregation clapped their hands joyfully.

Love is sweeter when you’re with the right person.

After the oat taking, he moved on to ” You may now kiss your bride ” part..

Liam didn’t even hesitate, he wrapped his hands around my waist as he moved me closer to him, lowered his head and reached for my lips.

There was enough foods and drink, everyone was celebrating while we, being couple were less paid attention to, so we could have some time together.

But we danced together to the romantic wedding song was being played. We were not exactly dancing; his hands on my waist, mine on his shoulder as we slowly moved from left to right, like we were in a ball.. in response to the music.

“You are finally mine” Liam uttered.

“I’m yours exclusively” I blushed then added; “Liam, thank you for everything”

“I don’t really know what you are thanking for” He said.

“Just for everything”

We stopped moving and stared into eachother’s eyes.

” I love you Eve, I really do”

“I love you too Liam” I responded.

“I wish I could kiss you again right now but less I forget, we have much time to ourselves after the party” He said.

“Shh.. don’t be such a naughty boy” I whispered and he giggled.

We weren’t the only one dancing, so we stylishly moved away from majority of the congregation..

We intertwined arms.. and walked passed some people. Yeah, being the new wedded couple.. we got several wishes on our way and we needed to reply to.

I sighted Helen with her lover and she winked and mouthed that I should enjoy my time with Liam.

“Congratulations Liam..” A feminine voice said behind us.

“Thank.. you” He responded before we turned to see who it was.

Clara.

“Hey Clara” He said to her then whispered into my ears. “I invited her”

“Hi” I said sheepishly to Clara.

“You are looking so beautiful Eve” She complimented.

“We are now married too Liam, why did you invite your ex girlfriend?”

“Hmmmn. Because I literally wanted to introduce you to her as my wife, the love of my life” Liam said and I blushed secretly.

“Really? ”

“Yeah, really”

“I’m not jealous and yeah she’s married but I remember vividly that she turned you into something else. I just wanna be careful with her this time” I said.

“Have I ever told you that you look really cute whenever you are jealous?” Liam said instead.

“Whatever” I tried to hide my smile too.

“Hello!” We recongized that voice..

Mr Maya. He was wearing a black cap on a black jacket..

“Father” Liam exclaimed and embraced him.

“Happy married life ” Mr Maya said smiling widely.

“Thank you” I bowed my head a little and replied coldly.

“I’m sorry for just showing up” He said to us.

“You told me, you wouldn’t make it” Liam said.

“Yeah but I did. Let’s just call it a surprise” He said.. we noticed he covered up his face, the moment some people passed by.

“Are .. you disguising?” I asked him.

“No, not at all. But you know I.. I sold my famousity to you guys, I don’t want anyone to know I’m present” He said.

He didn’t only give to his wealth but his fame too. He left the country because he wanted his popularity and reputation to die down. He wanted to be a nobody.

“Where’s Mark?” He asked us.

“We saw him in the hall not too long” Liam responded..

“What Robert and Helen..”

“Uhmmmn…” I wanted to say..

“Don’t worry, I’ld find them myself. And It’s great to see you guys again.” He said, walking away..

A tear dropped from Liam’s face, I wiped them off..

“He is a changed person and he is very happy” Liam said. I nodded.

I can’t believe that Mr Maya punished himself this way, he left this place to live like an ordinary old man in another country..

Anyways, we didn’t left the old thought ruin the happy moments, we moved on … appreciate VIPs for coming and watching everyone enjoying themselves to the fullest.

The wedding party was Lit.

So Mark and Liam decided to meet up with their father because it has been a long time. They wanted to fix that bond this time.

We decided to go see Mr Maya together and probably convince him to stay here and reflect his new good life here afterall his reputation and prestigious position wasn’t ruin but then, the next day, Mr Maya was out of the country again.. and communicated with us via email.

He prefers it that way..
