Married to the Boss: A Love in Disguise Chapter 52
Lumma knew the poker game was serious this game. She didn’t know how to play cards, so she dared not join them.
Just when she was about to refuse, Adam said, “Just do it. It doesn’t matter about winning.”
Lumma had no choice but to come. Although Adam had said he didn’t care about winning or losing, she must be serious, and she was afraid she would lose the house.
Callum held Louisa’s hand and played a card, “Adam, life is short. Treat yourself better while you are young, Go and fall in love. Don’t make yourself miserable”
Adam ignored him. Lumma asked him for help in a whisper, “Mr. Hills, which card should I play?”
Adam stretched out his hand, took out a card, and played it. “Rela. Just keep it casual.”
He was so close that Lumma smelled the faint woody fragrance from him, which was very faint but nice. She was a little distracted for a while.
Seeing the interaction between Adam and Lumma, Callum laughed and joked, “Adam, is it because you have a crush that you have a bad relationship with your wife?”
Callum took a special look at Lumma, obviously referring to her.
Adam threw him a cold glance and said, “You can talk about me, but don’t damage the girl’s reputation.”
Callum shrugged. “If you have someone you like, go get her. Don’t miss the chance.”
Adam said, “Focus on the game.”
“Okay, okay,” said Callum.
They spent the whole afternoon playing cards. Everyone had a great time except for
Lumma, who felt that every minute was a torment.
At the end of the game, Lumma lost all the chips Adam had.
Callum happily said, “Adam, you finally lost once. We have to think about how much
you are going to pay.”
Adam gently pushed the silver spectacle frame on the bridge of his nose. “Anything.”
Callum accepted his generousness and said, “Give me the Roseland project.”

Lumma was terrified at Callum’s words. The project was more valuable than a flat and
was worth several billion dollars.
She looked at Adam apologetically. If she had known the stake was so high, she would
not have joined them no matter what.
“It’s okay. Since I dared to let you play, I’m not afraid of losing.” Adam comforted
Lumma, then took out his mobile phone and made a call, “We withdraw from the Roseland project competition.”
Callum gave him a thumbs up, “Adam, you are the most generous.”
He added, “It’s getting late. Let’s go for dinner, and I will have a midnight snack with
my wife later.”
At this time, Lumma didn’t understand the midnight snack had a secret meaning. Only
after she checked in that she realize what Callum meant.
The guest rooms here were in a three-story wooden building, which Adam specially used to entertain friends and never received foreign guests.
Naturally, the three couples lived together. Lumma was arranged to Room 202, and
Adam lived in Room 201. Callum and Louisa lived in Room 203.
It was especially quiet in the mountains at night, and the temperature was several degrees lower than in the urban area. Living alone in a suite made Lumma feel terrified.
She was about to make a video call to Ruby and Harry when she heard the sex voice from
the next door.
Lumma covered her ears in embarrassment, but she could still hear it clearly.
She didn’t know how long that sound had lasted, maybe ten minutes, half an hour, or longer. Finally, the sound stopped. Lumma thought she could go to sleep peacefully, but unexpectedly, the rhythmic sex voice sounded again.
She couldn’t stand it anymore. Lumma put on her coat and was going to hide in the yard for a while, wanting to come back after the couple finished.
Unexpectedly, as soon as she walked out of the room, she saw Adam calmly smoking at the door of his room…
