Chapter 662
Chapter 662
Joshua ching to her arm, terrified. “No, don’t! I’m scared.”
Cynthia turned on all the lights in the living room, trying to calm him down. However, she underestimated Joshua’s fear. No matter what she said, Joshua still held onto her arm, overwhelmed by fear and dread.
Helpless, Cynthia had no choice but to take him to his room. As the door opened, they were greeted with a floor covered in bloodstains, with some on the walls as well.
The scene looked somewhat horrifying.
Cynthia turned on the lights to examine more closely, but to her surprise, the bloodstains vanished completely when the lights came on
“Cynthia
“What did you do in your room today?” Cynthia remained composed.
“Nothing. After lunch, I returned to my room and took a nap. Then I went downstairs to buy some stuff and stayed in the living room the whole time, not going anywhere else,” Joshua confessed, looking innocent
Cynthia thought it did not add up as she distinctly heard some noise from his room in the afternoo
“Are you telling the truth?” Cynthia asked him.
Still appearing innocent, Joshua replied, “Cynthia, don’t you believe me?”
Cynthia frowned.
If Joshua was telling the truth, it meant that the person in his room in the afternoon was not him but a third person. However… the thought of how well Joshua managed to put on an act for so long made her wonder if he was lying to her again.
“Why don’t you go out first? That way, you won’t disturb the scene. I’ll call the police to handle this,” Cynthia decided to bluff
him
“Okay,” Joshua complied obediently.
Cynthia hesitated.. Could it really not be him?
“Wait! Wait! Don’t call the police!” A voice suddenly emerged from under the bed.
Following the voice, a disheveled, pale–faced person crawled out from underneath, with blood oozing everywhere.
“It’s me!”
“All” Joshua cried out again, clinging tighter to Cynthia’s arm
Cynthia’s heart skipped a beat. She was not afraid of ghosts, but seeing a terrifying face appearing out of nowhere was still shocking.
Then, Cynthia examined the ‘ghost‘, dressed in a white dress with disheveled long hair and makeup so exaggerated that it was hard to recognize her real appearance.
“Who are you?” Cynthia could not recognize hier.
Nadia pushed her hair back and grinned at Cynthia, saying, “It’s me, Nana.”
Cynthia glanced around the room and asked, “Did you do all this in the room?”
The cheerful Nadia replied seriously, “I just wanted to scare that scumbag for you. I’ve learned a lot about you and him during this time, and I’m definitely on your side!”
“You’re so childish.” Cynthia was getting annoyed.
Nadia felt awkward and asked, “Are you mad at me?”
“Clean up and come out again.” Cynthia closed the door.
Nadia replied, “Oh.”
Back in the living room, Cynthia sat with Joshua on the sofa, and he still clung to her as if he would be afraid if he let go.
“Cynthia, I’m scared, Joshua continued holding her hand, feeling uneasy.
“It’s okay.” Cynthia did not know how to comfort him. She never expected this to be Nadia’s doing. “Don’t be afraid.” Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
Logically speaking, Nadia would not do something so childish. Most importantly, how did she even get in? Even if she knew the password or could bypass it, she should have been caught by Joshua, who was in the living room.
