My Aloof Sisters Asked for My Forgiveness

Chapter 298

"Grandpapa, didn't you sleep well last night?"

In the living room of the McCall family villa, Allison looked at her grandfather in shock.

Jonathan's disheveled hair, bloodshot eyes, and haggard expression made him look nothing short of terrifying.novelbin

"It's nothing. I was inspired to train all night, so I'm just a bit tired today," he said curtly.

As he glanced past her to Dustin, who was standing behind her. His face grew even darker.

"Grandpapa, you've just recovered! How could you push yourself like this?" Allison said sternly in concern.

Caught off guard, Jonathan could only offer a sheepish nod.

Last night, in a misguided attempt to drug Dustin with some aphrodisiac and force his granddaughter into a closer relationship, he had somehow fallen victim to his own scheme.

If not for his strong constitution, the consequences could have been far worse.

Looking back, he was almost certain Dustin had seen through his ploy and turned the tables.

"Allison," Jonathan said abruptly as he pulled out a neatly sealed envelope. "This came for you earlier this morning."

Allison opened it and looked at the contents.

"It's an invitation to a gathering for young talents in martial arts from the Grayvale," she said.

"This sort of event happens once or twice a year," she continued. "It's mostly attended by young heirs of prominent martial arts families."

"Allison, you've barely socialized in recent years, especially with everything that happened while I was unwell. Why not take this opportunity to go out and meet some new faces? Take Fustin with you," Jonathan said with a smile.

Allison hesitated but was quickly intrigued. She then eagerly invited Dustin to come with her.

Dustin shrugged indifferently.

With the drug's effects still lingering, leaving Jonathan behind to deal with the aftermath felt almost poetic.

Moments later, Allison emerged from the garage in her cute but long-neglected luxury car and whisked Dustin away in style.

After about forty minutes of driving, they arrived at an opulent five-star hotel.

Its lavish design spoke volumes about the wealth and status of its patrons.

Allison handed her invitation to the valet, who immediately ushered them inside politely.

This luxurious hotel featured a dedicated, spacious area specifically designed for gatherings and entertainment of prominent family heirs.

"This hotel belongs to the young heir

of a prominent family," she said to Dustin as they walked. "He's quite skilled in martial arts, but he's also infamous for his indulgent lifestyle. This place is his little paradise, where he and other heirs of noble families gather for entertainment.

"Normally, I'd never bother with their invitations. But these martial arts exchanges, held once or twice a year, are worth checking out."

As they approached a grand entrance, two young men dressed in designer suits stood ready to greet the guests.

"Allison McCall? You actually came!"

They were genuinely surprised.

Allison was nothing short of a goddess among the young martial artists of Grayvale...

Female martial artists were already

background, and stunning beauty.

There were only a handful of them in

the whole of Honora.

Allison was the most dazzling among them, and she was admired by countless young martial artists.

For years, invitations had been sent her way, yet not once had she accepted. Most had long since stopped expecting her to attend.

Her decision to show up was a shock to many.

One of the doormen quickly ran inside to inform the others and left the other one to nervously usher. Allison-forward. "Miss McCall, this way, please!" He gestured O enthusiastically.

"Let's go in." Allison nodded and started walking as she motioned for Dustin to follow.

"Excuse me," the doorman called as he stepped in front of Dustin. His hesitation was obvious. "Who might this be?"

Dustin's unfamiliar face and the apparent closeness between him and Allison made him stand out and not in a good way.
