Chapter 32 A day with you
Tyler
“Tyler, it’s supposed to be a relaxing week. What are you doing?”
Jessica was in my shirt, undoubtedly naked underneath. We were giving our all last night, and yet she was already looking beautiful in the morning, a bit pale but permanently beautiful in my eyes. I’m sure I was biased but I still need to get a ring on her finger.
“I’m delegating my work to Larry, and his assistant is working from Kayleigh’s desk at the moment. Let’s just say he’s not very happy with that.”
“Really? this is your brother Larry we’re talking about? I thought he hated Gemma, the last time I saw him he was criticizing her work. Also, I have a feeling they’ve known each other in another lifetime before. I mean the hate they have for each other is too astronomical for them to have in this time alone.” She let out her small laugh while I watched her as he poured coffee on her cup, adding some milk then gently stirring it after adding a spoonful of sugar.
“This is vacation coffee.” She smiled knowing I usually see her with the black coffee only in the office.
“Can I try one of those too?”
She winked playfully and made me a cup, then surprisingly sits on my lap, forcing me to close my laptop and be done with my work.
“I like this coffee, we should bring this to the office.”
“We should wait… does this means I get to keep Larry’s office?” she smiled wickedly knowing I would want her next to mine, she knows for sure that I get jealous easily.
“He’ll get a new and bigger office. He won’t complain.”
She drinks her coffee, and rests back on my chest then asked about our plans for the day.
“We’re going to the city and buy you a big ass ring to show my mom that I’m serious about you.”
Jessica laughed and kissed me chastely, shook her head then drink her coffee again before she puts it down and cupped my face with her slim pale hands.
“We can do that on our way back, we just got here. I’m sure you’ll think of something nice to propose to me here with.”
“Wait, that’s right, you haven’t said yes.”
“Tyler, have you asked?” she smiled and lift her ass only to straddle me and presents her deliciously pale breasts to my face.
“I haven’t, wait… is there a chance you’d say no?” my hands were to her thighs rubbing them mindlessly while enjoying our time.
Fuck, I never think of that.
Now she’s making me nervous.
Goddamn it.
“You’ll never know until you ask.” She whispered sensually trailing her kisses to my jaw and smiling when she met my eyes then suddenly get up telling me she’s taking a shower.
“I’m waiting, Tyler, you’re taking me out from breakfast.”
“Right, okay… I’ll be right there.” I hurriedly got up, almost drop my laptop but finally made it to the bathroom in not so subtle manner.
After a quick shower sex, we headed out to the sleepy seaside town and have breakfast in the old restaurant by the pier. Jessica would sometimes keep it to herself, there were moments where she would gaze into the sea and was lost in her thoughts.
But overall breakfast was good, it was our second day, we have a lot of time for improvement.
Sadly, my mind kept on going back to her words. And on our way back I finally turned my car around, instead of going to the beach house I was heading out to the city and stopped in front of the biggest jewelry store.
“Tyler, I thought we agreed?”
“Yeah, I can’t wait one whole week without knowing are you going to accept my proposal or not. Come on,”
“Why? men are supposed to pick the rings.”
There was a playful glint in her eyes, but I was not gambling on our future.
“No way, I’m not risking my taste of ring so you can say no to my proposal.”
I could already see her smile, she was actually liking that she’s stringing me along for the proposal. Liking that she has that power over me, I don’t really mind but I know I’ll sleep much much better knowing that she said yes to spend the rest of her life with me.
“I’m not a business transaction Tyler. This is not you trying to close a deal.”
“Baby, I love you. Will you please stop making me worry about my proposal come with me, and pick the ring?” I took her almost healed knuckles and kissed them.
She sighed exaggeratedly before she agreed and stepped out of the car with me.

“I like it,”
After twenty minutes of looking for the right rings, she finally set her eyes on a beautiful small diamond ring. It was not her fault that the sales lady kept on pushing her to choose the bigger size diamond for her ring. I was silently telling the nice lady to size it up as I kept mouthing to her from behind my future wife.
Future wife.
But every freaking time, Jess always goes back to the smaller size diamond and the lady finally was nice enough that she smiled and take her time with us.
“Bigger,”
“What, Tyler you said I can pick the ring?”
“Yeah, but my mom said I should take very good care of you. And that small diamond is not reflecting well on my intent.”
Jessica was making her annoyed face, but she actually look cuter and made me want to take her right there and then.
“Okay,” she finally sighed.
“Okay? wait… is this your approval for the proposal or the diamond ring?”
“Okay, why don’t we try this? you can kneel and ask her with this, and see what she says?”
I looked at the sales lady, she was giving me a larger size diamond ring. Large enough that my mom would approve, but with the similar model that Jessica had chosen earlier. I grabbed it quickly and kneel, then took her hand and let it all out.
“Jess, Jessica… I love you, I love you with all my heart, let me take care of you and cherish you. Forever. Baby, please be mine, cause I’m already yours. Jessica, will you be my wife?”
My heart never pound so hard in my entire life, I was making a scene at the bright light jewelry store. Every eye was on us, but all I can see were hers. She was teary, hopefully, that’s a good sign.
But I finally relaxed when she nodded, bit her lip, and let me put the ring on her finger.
“Yes… I’ll be yours.” She helped me up and let me kiss her with all of my love for her. I could hear people whispering their ooh and aahs, clapping their hands making me reluctantly peel myself away from her.
“Okay, now, I pay. Give me a sec…”
She giggled and let me take out my wallet to give the sales lady my black card. We were back to kissing and out of the store in less than ten minutes.
“We should celebrate,”
“Go back to the beach house?”
“Beach house for sure, this is honeymoon part one.”
She let out her playful laugh and let me usher her back to the car. She did make me laugh by saying she was walking a bit limping to one side because of the weight of the ring.
“Let me carry the weight for you then,”
She shriek when I picked her up bridal style and carry her to my car.
“Tyler! you’re embarrassing me!”
“Get used to it, it’s forever, baby.”Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
I buckled her to the passenger seat and give her the hot scorching kiss that she likes.
“Forever.”
