Chapter 460 Brain Cancer
Chapter 460 Brain Cancer
They looked into one another’s eyes. Vivian said first, “Answer it. Maybe it is something urgent.”
John’s eyes became slightly sour.
He was afraid that something urgent would delay their marriage certificate today.
Finally, he received the call, with a heavy heart.
“Hello.” his voice was a little dim.
The person on the other side was speaking very fast. The car stopped abruptly before Vivian heard
anything.
The intense sound of braking made her blood freeze.
Vivian frowned subconsciously. Her body was bounced back severely out of inertia.
She became groggy.
But she cared even more about John.
She turned her head around, only to see a layer of cold sweat on John’s head and his face was
completely pale.
Vivian was shocked, “John, what’s wrong?”
The person on the other side had already ended the call. John’s eyes were red, his phone falling down
from his hand.
“Vivi, my mother did not feel well.” He suppressed his voice and said.
Their marriage certificate was less important than his mother. John drove the car quickly before the
traffic police ran towards them, which made the traffic police pissed off.
Vivian held his hands, looking at the pale and weak John worriedly, “Everything is gonna be fine. John,
you need to believe in the medical science today. Your mother will be fine.”
John clenched his teeth and did not say anything.
The call was from his father, Sam. Sam said that his mother fainted in the garden when she was
watering the flowers this morning.
She was sent to the hospital in the early morning. The results for the checkup had not come out, but it
might be brain cancer according to the doctor’s preliminary diagnosis.
John was like burning with anxiety. All the conflicts were gone in his mind. He just wanted to do one
thing right now. That was to see his mother.
His car came to the hospital very soon. Vivian did not get off, but said to John, “I am afraid your parents
do not want to see me. I will stay here. Just have a talk with your parents, and I will help care for your
mother when she feels better.”
John knew what she was worried about. Thinking that they were finally going to get their marriage
certificate today, he had mixed feelings.
He kissed her on the face quickly, and said with his masculinity, “Vivi, wait for me here. I will be back
soon.”
Some ripples were stirred in Vivian’s heart. She lowered her eyes lightly, and said with her head down,
“OK.”
John was reluctant to leave. He took a look at her, and got off quickly.
Vivian drove his car home.
In the hospital.
When he arrived at the door to the ward, he saw his father going back and forth in front of the door.
Sam was a successful business man, calm and confident whatever he was facing. It was the first time
John saw him so nervous.
He was a little doubtful about his mother’s illnesses at the beginning. But now the doubts were
dispersed.
“John, here you come.” Haylee was the first one to see John there. Tears could be seen in her eyes.
Sam turned his head around. Expectations and relief were in his eyes. But when John looked towards
him, his eyes became cold suddenly.
John felt sad about it.
“Dad, how is mum doing?” He asked.
Sam snorted coldly, and did not say anything.
Haylee was crying, but she went forward and said, “Aunt is still under check inside and she had not
woke up yet. Doctors told us to have some mental preparations, because the data showed that she is
most likely suffering from a brain cancer.”
Sam’s face became one degree paler after these words.
John’s face also became pale suddenly.
Haylee said, “John, do not worry too much. The doctors might have misjudged it. We should just wait
for your mum to come out now.”
He nodded his head, his mood heavy, and did not say anything.
Haylee said in a low voice, “John, didn’t Miss Vivian come with you?”
John rolled his eyes and looked at her with inspection.
Her heart beat quickly, then lowered his head soon, “John, do not get me wrong. I am just afraid that
your mother will be angry if she sees Miss Vivian here. Could you please tell Miss Vivian not to come
here now?” Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
“Do not worry. She has come back.” John said unhappily.
Sam narrowed his eyes, “How come you are showing a cold face to Haylee? She is accompanying
your mother these days, much better than you. How dare you show cold face to her?”
John turned his head around and ignored his father.
A sense of coldness flashed in Haylee’s eyes.
They were waiting outside until Mrs. Reina woke up.
At the same time, a bad news came.
“I am so sorry to inform you that Mrs. Reina was suffering from brain cancer after careful diagnoses.
But what is lucky is that this cancer is benign.” The doctor said so.
John felt relieved.
Sam also felt relaxed a bit. His nervous nerves have relaxed finally.
Sam arranged someone to go through the hospital admission procedures, then he went inside to see
Mrs. Reina with John. Haylee called out when she bought breakfast for Mrs. Reina.
Vivian reserved time to get the marriage certificate this morning, but John left now. So she could only
go home.
When she was passing a supermarket near her home, she needed to buy something for their home. So
she got off the car, intending to buy something.
She parked her car at the entrance. She noticed that there was a car behind hers since she was
slowing down her car.
But she did not think too much about it.
But now after she got off, she found that that car stopped either.
Vivian felt uneasy in her heart, feeling something bad was going to happen.
Taking a doubtful look outside, she found that car just stopped for a while, and someone threw an
empty bottle to a dustbin at the roadside and then drove away.
After a relief, she was mocking her for being too cautious.
Was she being followed by others?
Looking around the noisy crowd here, even if other people wanted to do something illegal, they should
not have chosen such a crowded place during the day.
Vivian went into the supermarket to buy something.
But the car that had driven away turned back again. The man who was driving wore a pair of glasses,
through which a cold light was reflected. This made him looking like a wild wolf.
After ten minutes, Vivian drove John’s car home with the stuff she bought.
The residential community where John was living was a high-end one. The greenery was good, and it
was quiet. One block before the community was a quiet street.
This was the time when few people went out.
Suddenly, a loud sound was heard.
