Chapter 64 How Are We Going To Settle This
After the sales assistant made the remark, she heard a notification from PayPal. “You have received a
payment of one million.”
The crowd standing outside the store was thunderstruck. They stared blankly at Christopher and Erisa
as they could not believe their ears.
The sales assistant thought she had heard it wrong. It was after Christopher had shown her the
transaction record on his phone that she realized the so-called broke lad had made a one-million
transaction to the store.
Did he just make a payment of one million to the store? Is he crazy?
“My God, one million!”
“Is he one of the nouveau riche who became rich because of the compensation due to the
government’s demolition project?”
Everyone’s jaw dropped, and they could not stop mumbling.
“Can I come in now?” Christopher said with a deadpan expression.
“W-Welcome!” The sales assistant was dumbfounded. Since when do nouveau riche become low-
profile these days? Is this the latest trend?

prove myself!
Lulu, too, was taken aback by the turn of events. Not only was the man rich, but he also made a
transaction worth one million without hesitation. However, at the same time, she was relieved to know
that the man could pay for her dress.
Erisa, on the other hand, was at a loss for words. She could roughly estimate the value of sixty
thousand, but to her, one million was an astronomical sum.
“Where’s your manager? Ask your manager to get out right now!” Christopher exclaimed.
Meanwhile, the manager, who was having her lunch break, had also received the PayPal notification on
her phone. She did not believe it when she saw the figures at first. But after counting the number of
zeroes, she was stunned. The most expensive single item they sold in the store was merely eighty to
ninety thousand. What is this one million all about?
The manager instantly dashed out from the resting area and saw Christopher walking into the store
with Erisa while her sales assistant kept flashing apologetic smiles at them. When the manager saw the
woman in rage, she instantly recognized her as a VIP who had bought recently shopped in their store.
As an experienced manager, she could tell that the underdressed young man could be a nouveau
riche. She quickened her pace and walked over to greet him. “Good day, Sir. Were you the one who
credited one million to our account? Sheryl, please sign up a VIP card for our guest and give him ten
thousand worth of vouchers.”
“Don’t worry about the VIP card yet. I came to your store to buy some clothes, but your sales assistant
stopped us from coming in. She claimed that our hands would dirty your clothes and even wanted us to
kneel. What are you going to do about it?” Christopher asked calmly.
Sheryl never expected Christopher to report her to the manager. She panicked and immediately
apologized, “I’m sorry, Sir. Please forgive me for being so—”
“Save it, Sheryl. Do you think he’ll forgive you for what you’ve done? You’re no longer entitled to this
year’s bonus… And you’re fired.” The manager raised her voice. Sales assistants must remember that
customers are always right, especially those who spend millions in our store!
Sheryl was stunned. Compared to the other outlets in the mall, the store had the best employee
benefits. In fact, she had to get her connections to pull a few strings to secure a position here. By
working in this luxury boutique, she had hoped to find herself a rich boyfriend, but now her plan was
foiled.
Her hope was dashed when she learned she was no longer entitled to her annual bonus, which
amounted to several thousand. Had she known Christopher was a wealthy man, she would not have
stopped him from coming in!
Christopher pointed at Lulu’s dress and said, “Find me the same dress and help her change into the
new one. You deduct the money from the amount I credited into the account and sign me up for your
VIP membership program.”
The manager immediately brought the dress over. She was thrilled that the store had hit a one-million
deal in just one day!
Lulu felt slightly awkward in that situation, but she thought she could leave since Christopher had
compensated her with a new dress.
After changing into the new dress, she left the dress with the lollipop stain on the counter and was
ready to walk out of the store.
“Now that I’ve bought you a new dress, shall we talk about my kid? You hit and yelled at her. So tell
me, how are we going to settle this?”
