Mysterious Little Wife

Chapter 58 Mad

Chapter 58 Mad

Sam was taken aback by Sophia's sudden entrance.

In all his years, he had rarely seen Sophia manage to get up before he went to work.

"It's only been five minutes!" Sophia looked at Lacey, anxiously.

Lacey lifted a gentle smile. "Yes, I know!"

Rolling her eyes, Sophia sat down hastily and gasped for air.

Lillianna frowned slightly at sight. Immediately, she sat down next to Sophia and asked, "Sophia, why

are you up so early?"

"You're here?" Sophia turned around to face Lillianna. She seemed to be out of breath.

"What's the matter? You don't seem to have slept well." Lillianna asked with concern, "Do you feel sick

anywhere?"

Sophia remained silent, but glared at Lacey.

This was all her fault!

"Ms. Garrison, what would you like to eat?" Uncle Caleb hurried over and asked.

"A sandwich would be enough," Sophia answered.

"Okay. Mr. Garrison, what about you?" Caleb went on to ask.

"Okay. Mr. Garrison, what about you?" Caleb went on to ask. When Sam glanced at Theo's dumplings,

he thought they were piercing.

"I'll take anything as long as it's not dumplings," he said." Well, I'll have them ready for you in a minute."

With that said, Caleb turned to Lillianna and Lacey. "And what would you like for breakfast, ladies?" he

gently inquired.

"Uncle Caleb, it's fine. I've already eaten." Lillianna gave a pleasant smile.

"Uncle Caleb, I appreciate it. I'm full as well. There's no need to prepare anything." Lacey smiled and

politely declined the offer.

Uncle Caleb nodded and walked straight into the kitchen.

"Lacey, haven't you eaten anything? How can you be full?" Theo frowned, stunned for a moment.

Lacey cocked her head and rested her chin on her hand. "I'm filled just by looking at your handsome

face," she replied, a faint smile on her face.

Such flirtatious behavior came out of nowhere.

Sam's hand, which was holding the coffee, paused in mid-air.

Lillianna frowned. She stared at Lacey in bewilderment.

Did Lacey just tease Theo in front of everyone?

"Pa!" Sophia stood up after slamming the table hard. She clenched her teeth and grumbled, "I'm not

hungry anymore. Lacey, we're going to school!"

"Okay." Lacey rose to her feet and smiled sweetly at Sophia.

The latter looked at the smile and had the urge to tear her face off.

But because Theo was around, she didn't dare to snap out of it.

Sophia had no choice but to hold back her anger and walk towards the door.

"Enjoy your food, Theo. I'm going to school!" Lacey flashed a dazzling smile and turned to catch up

with Sophia.

"Hehehe—"

Theo's expression shifted from shock to a return to sanity. Eventually, he cackled as he ate the

dumplings.

"Wait for me, Lacey! I'll give you a lift!" Theo rushed out.

Meanwhile, Sam remained silent throughout. A moment passed, and his cold voice rang out. "Don't you

need to go to school as well?"

Lillianna, who was seated next to him, jumped to attention and quickly said, "Well, okay, I'll go to school

now then. I'll give you a call later."

Following that, she walked timidly to the door.

Sam never looked up.

But a closer look would reveal a thick layer of frost covering his attractive face.

"Why don't I accompany you to school, Lacey? I don't have anything to do at home anyway," Theo was

about to climb to the back of the car.

"Mr. Henderson, you don't have to. My driver has gone back. I will accompany them to school," said

Lillianna as she walked over.

Theo frowned. "That isn't a problem. You, get down. I'll drive instead."

Certainly, the driver didn't dare refuse. He exited the vehicle immediately.

"Lacey, come sit next to me." Theo grinned as he climbed into the driver's seat.

"Ouch, I feel dizzy. Lacey, you don't mind if I sit in front of you, do you?" Sophia said anxiously, holding

her hand.

How could Lacey not know what she was up to?

"Of course!" Still, she gave in anyway.

At that, Sophia's mood instantly cheered up.

"Lilliann, come here. Don't you miss your sister dearly? You two have a good chat." Sophia insisted as

she pushed open the car door and sat in the passenger seat.

Lillianna leaned closer with a smile.

"Let's go." Theo was bummed that Lacey wasn't sitting next to him.

Still, it didn't seem that bad as long as she was in the same car.

"Did you have a good night's sleep last night?" Lillianna asked, looking at Lacey and smiling.

Lacey knew immediately that her smile was fake, but she wasn't about to reveal it. "Very well. Sophia's

bed is very soft and much more comfortable than the hard stone bed I have at home."

Lillianna's face froze. She continued with a gentle smile, " You find the bed at home hard? I'll go back

and tell Daddy to get you a softer one."

"Thanks, Lillianna." Lacey raised an eyebrow.

Then she looked out the window.

It was obvious she didn't want to play along with her.

Meanwhile, Sophia attempted to chat with Theo in front of the car for some time.

She would occasionally exaggerate her smile to the point of losing her image.

Lacey had her eyes stared outside the window behind the back seat. No one knew what was on her

mind.

"Lacey, are you coming back tonight?" Lillianna asked all of a sudden.

Lacey frowned. She looked at her sideways and asked with a sarcastic smile, "Whose idea was it?"

"Lacey, dad thinks you're too young for this job. How can you teach Sophia? What Uncle Alvaro said

yesterday was just a joke. How can you take it seriously? It's enough now that you've spent the night at

the Garrison. You wouldn't want others to make fun of you, would you?" Lillianna put on a look of

concern.

Even yet, it was clear that there was more to what she was saying.

"Yeah, Lillianna's right. you should return home." Sophia, who was sitting on the front seat, turned

around and added her two cents.

"Sure, no problem. How about you have dad make a phone call with Uncle Alvaro? If Uncle Alvaro

agrees to my leaving, I have no objection!" Lacey said indifferently. C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.

Her answer was very concise. She was not adamant about staying or returning.

Lillianna's face changed in an instant.

She didn't say anything else after that.

Soon, the car arrived at school.

Theo reluctantly waved goodbye to Lacey after the three of them exited the car.

"Don't follow me. I hate the sight of you." Sophia rolled her eyes and walked into the school first.

"Lacey, do you really have to be so stubborn?" Lillianna walked up to her.

Lacey sneered and took a step forward. Her tone was cold as she said, "You're virtuous, and I'm brutal.

Hasn't it always been like that? Isn't that how it's always been?" She raised a mocking smile. Her eyes

glowed with sarcasm. "You can't make a horse work unless it's fed. There's no such thing as a miracle,

is there?"

"Do you have to go against dad?" Lillianna asked with a tone as cold as ice. "Do you honestly think you

can do whatever you want after a night at the Garrison's?"

Just then, one by one, the students walked in.

It was rare to see the twins together, so they always watched from a distance.

"What is it that you're so scared of?" Lacey stared at her with sarcastic eyes. "Are you afraid I'll reveal

your first time, or are you afraid I'll reveal the truth about the video? Or, are you afraid of being exposed

for something shameful you've done?"

Lillianna's expression turned gloomy at this point. "What kind of nonsense are you talking about?"

"Nonsense?" She sneered. "Since I'm talking nonsense, why are you so anxious for me to return?"

"I'm worried you'll embarrass the Carter family!" Lillianna said through gritted teeth.

"Haha—" Lacey burst out in laughter. " Embarrass the Carter family? How much more embarrassed

could the Carters be since the last video?"

Her pupils constricted, and she moved closer to Lillianna. "Does he fear I'll embarrass the Carters, or

do you fear me?"

"Me fear of you?" Lillianna raised a disgusted look. "What do you have that I should be fearful of?"

"I have your fiancé's first time, is that enough?" Lacey gave a sly grin.

Lillianna's face abruptly changed colors when she heard that. It went from black to purple to green, just

like a rainbow.

"Do you really want to go against me?" It was at this moment that Lillianna's eyes turned as venomous

as a snake's, which could send shivers down one's spine.

Lacey remained silent, implying that she consented.

"Ha!" Lillianna chuckled and turned around. "I heard you went to the Fallen Cemetery yesterday!" she

said softly.

Lacey rushed forward, startled. "What did you say?"

"Fallen Cemetery is indeed not a bad place to be. I bet the money we paid you has almost run out. If

you dare to provoke me again, I'll dig her tomb!" Lillianna laughed maniacally as if possessed.

Lacey remained silent. Her gaze fixed on Lillianna as if she were staring at a demon.

"Do you know what you're talking about, Lillianna?" she asked incredulously.

"I know very well what I'm saying. If you play tricks on me, I'll make sure she can't live in peace even

after she dies!" Lillianna giggled. "You'd better come home tonight!"

She then walked forward and was about to leave.

Lacey's face became gloomy at this point.

She rushed up, grabbed Lillianna by the shoulder, and yanked her around.

"Pa!" The slap was audible and clear.

Lillianna was startled.

The students around immediately pulled out their phones and began taking pictures.

"She's your mother, for goodness sake!" Her voice trembled with rage.

Could a person really be this mad?

Lillianna laughed and gently tucked her hair behind her ear. "If I truly thought of her as a mother, do you

think she would die?"

Lacey's eyes were wide with astonishment.

"I might as well tell you that not only would I not be sad about her death, but I am overjoyed, for she

has always been a disgrace to me!"

Her cold, ruthless words struck Lacey coldly in the heart.

"A disgrace?"

What Lillianna said had sent her heart sinking as if into a cave of ice, followed by a vicious blow.

It hurt so much she couldn't breathe.

Lillianna had concerns about the students around her. While her smile remained, her eyes were fierce.

"Don't mess with me. Understand? Otherwise, you know what I'm going to do."

With that said, she turned around and was about to leave.

"Lillianna, my dear sister—"

Lacey called out to her just then.

Lillianna returned her gaze. She made a motion for Lacey to hurry up.

"Come with me to the Garrison's after school today. I'll tell Uncle Alvaro to let me go home, okay?"

Lacey's tone was surprisingly gentle.

Lillianna beamed. "Good girl. Those who suit their actions to the times are wise!"

Giggling, she turned away with her head held high and proud.

Lacey slowly crouched down. She felt cold all of a sudden.

She couldn't help but hold her arms with both hands, and her sharp nails dug into her flesh.

Time gradually passed—

When Lacey looked up again, her eyes were filled with bright determination.

......

She, too, could be mad!

She'd show her what real pain was!
