Chapter 21
Chapter 21
Javier's POV
When I awakened the following day, Grandma was waiting for me. When I swung back, she promptly
sent me to the bathroom. She despises booze. I brushed my teeth and went up to her. I had a feeling I
was going to be chastised. But she pleasantly surprised me this time. She didn't suffocate me.
"What are your plans? Are you going to let Xander go? "
"Grandma, I'm not sure, but I love my kid. I was in love with him before I even knew he was mine. I was
in love with Xavier without even understanding it. The kid is lovely; he behaves precisely like me. How
can someone who looks exactly like me do everything the same way I do? I still can't believe I'm a
father. I wasn't ready to be a father yet, Grandma, but I wanted a son. But how can I take my kid
without also bringing his mother? I want him to be with me every day."
"You do realize you can't avoid Gabby indefinitely? Gabby doesn't detest you; she wishes she never
had to see you again. She isn't the kind to turn a kid against you. She had no clue how to find you all
these years, but when she saw you and Sandra's engagement on TV, she pledged never to spoil your
engagement by enabling Xander to meet you; she knew who you were, but she elected not to contact
you or pin Xander on you. If any other woman had been in her situation, they could have gone to the
media and used Xander as a weapon, but that lady opted to raise her son without you. "
"I don't know what to do, Grandma."
"You'll figure it out eventually. Just make sure you don't use your money against her. She is Xander's
mother, and she is the one who reared him. Don't rob her of her son. When you sit down with her, you
will see that she is pretty understanding. I'm just not sure how she'll respond when she sees you for the
first time after all these years. Don't wait for her to find you; find her first. After all, it was your blunder,
not hers.
My life has been a roller-coaster journey for the past week.
I knew Gabby's address but never went to see her. I don't have an excuse, but I know I need to talk to
her and, more importantly, I need to see my son. Since I learned he was actually mine, it's been tough
to keep away from Xavier; at least she wasn't malicious when she gave him my name. I was drinking
coffee at the back of my office desk, deep in meditation, when I inadvertently knocked the cup of
coffee, pouring the full contents over my laptop.
"Fuck!"
I promptly contacted my assistant to request that our technician be dispatched to my office, but he told
me that our technician was on leave and was currently out of the country. He then told me that they
used to use someone, but she only works on weekends and he wasn't sure whether she would come NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.
as she owned a studio.
"Just phone the god damn woman and tell her I'm going to pay her twice as much as she makes in a
day," I yelled and hung up the phone. My office door had just opened. I turned around to see who it
was. Sandra, this b*tch, just doesn't pay attention. I'm not in the mood right now, and if she upsets me,
I'll throw her out.
My assistant walked in just as I was set to greet Sandra.
"What is it, Elvis?"
"Sir, I phoned the lady. However, there is a minor problem. She states that since she does not work
during the week, she will have to bring her kid because she will not be able to find someone to babysit.
Should I invite her and her son? " My assistant informed me.
"Yes, please invite her, but for the weekend I don't need children in my office." My assistant had already
departed. I positioned my gaze on Sandra.
"What brought you to my office?"
"I just wanted to see you."
"I was hoping to see you as well. I could have called, but it's not something I could speak about on the
phone. "
"Mr. Hills, have you set a date for our wedding?" She said seductively.
"No, I've got a son." He let that out with no emotions, not worried if it affected her.
He took his time studying Sandra's expression, but she didn't seem to mind. She merely looked at him
and enquired.
"Can you tell me who the mother is?"
"It's someone unimportant, but I'd like to consider my alternatives."
Take my kid away from her, or we'll co-parent.
Sandra was used to Javier's not displaying affection, so she knew he didn't care about her feelings.
