“Alpha Derrick, Lord Frederick requests your presence in his chamber before you leave for the meeting.” Ramos informed, and Derrick let out a low growl.

“You can leave.” He said, and Ramos bowed before walking out of the chamber.

Derrick rose up from the couch and he pocketed his phone before walking towards his dressing table.

He wore four golden rings on his fingers and a Ruby ring on his index finger, then he wore a gold chain around his neck before walking out of his chamber.

The guards bowed for him as he walked through the hallway that led to his father’s chamber.

The guards in front Lord Frederick’s chamber immediately opened the door when they saw Derrick approaching the chamber with a dangerous look on his face.

The guards bowed in fear but he ignored them and stepped inside his father’s chamber with a cold expression on his face.

He saw his father, Lord Frederick, sitting on a couch, sipping a glass of wine. His mother, Lady Aurora, was sitting beside his father on the couch.

They were both discussing about Derrick’s wedding, but immediately Derrick stepped inside the chamber, they stopped talking and they both diverted their gazes to him.

An elderly woman who was Lady Aurora’s personal maid was standing behind Lady aurora and Lord Fredrick’s couch.

Derrick walked to the couch which was opposite his parents, and he sat on it without greeting them.

“I have only five minutes to spend here, so it’s best if you start telling me the reason why you called me here.” He said in a cold voice as he crossed his right leg over the other.

Lord Fredrick gently dropped his glass of wine on the glass table standing between the couch he was sitting on and the couch Derrick was sitting on.

His wife, Lady Aurora, also adjusted herself on the couch, then Lord Fredrick started speaking.

“Derrick, you have to cancel whatever meeting you have this morning.”

Derrick frowned at his father’s statement.

“And why should I do that?” He asked.

“Because you and Felicia are getting engaged this morning.” Lord Fredrick replied.

“You say what?” Derrick asked to confirm whether he heard his father correctly, or whether his ears had suddenly gotten dysfunctional.

“You heard me correctly, Derrick. You and Felicia are getting engaged this morning.” Lord Fredrick repeated.

“You must be kidding me, dad.” Derrick said.

“Unfortunately, Derrick, I’m not kidding. I’m damn serious,” Lord Fredrick replied. “You and Felicia are gonna get engaged this morning, and it’s either you and Felicia get engaged this morning, or forget about your title as the alpha king because I’m gonna strip you off that position.” He added.Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

“Seriously? You wanna strip me off my position?” Derrick raised a brow at his father before bursting into a fit of laughter.

“I’m not joking, Derrick!” Lord Fredrick banged his fist on the table, and Derrick stopped laughing.

“Oh, so you’re really gonna strip me off my position if I disagree to this stupid and sudden engagement, huh?” Derrick asked with a smirk across his face.

“Yes, I am gonna strip you off your position if you disagree with me, Derrick. I have discussed this with the twenty-four elders of this kingdom and they’ve given me their full support. So the rest is up to you. It’s either you and Felicia get engaged this morning, or get ready to lose your title as the alpha king of Whitestone kingdom.” Lord Frederick replied, and Derrick scoffed before averting his gaze to his mother.

“Mum, I know you don’t love me as much as you love Merrick, but are you also in support of this bullshit engagement? Do you also want me to get engaged with someone who isn’t my mate? Someone I don’t love?” He asked, and lady Aurora let out a soft sigh.

“Derrick, this engagement is for you own benefit and the benefit of this Kingdom, so I’m in support of it.” Lady Aurora replied, and Derrick scoffed in disbelief.

“And moreover, you’ve been searching for your mate for a very long time and you haven’t found her till now. I don’t think you’re destined to have a mate, Derrick, so getting engaged with Felicia is the best thing for you, and seven days after the engagement, the both of you will get married.” Lady Aurora added.

“As your mum said, it’s the best thing for you and for this kingdom, and if you fail to cooperate, I’ll make sure you loose everything including your title.” Lord Fredrick chipped in.

Derrick scoffed again in disbelief, “Are you now blackmailing me?”

“No, we are doing what’s best for you and the Kingdom.” Lord Fredrick replied.

“Spare me that bullisht, dad. You and I both know that the reason why you agreed to my godforsaken relationship with Felicia is because of your selfish interest.” Derrick said, and Lord Fredrick glared at him.

“I would watch that way I talk if I were you, Derrick.” Lord Frederick said, warningly.

“Dad, whether you’re doing what’s best for the kingdom, or you own personal benefit, I need time to think about this engagement shit.” Derrick said, and rose up to his feet.

“Unfortunately, son, there’s no time to think about anything. You’re and Felicia are getting engaged this morning, and you’re gonna do it right here and right now. So sit down.” Lord Frederick said in a stern voice.

Derrick’s let out a low growl and he glared at his father before sitting down angrily.

Just then, the door opened, and Felicia walked in, dressed elegantly in a red flowered gown which was decorated with diamond stones.

She had a bright smile as she approached Derrick and his parents.

A maid was walking behind her, holding a small sized golden tray which had a ring boxe on it.

Derrick gazed at Felicia angrily as she walked towards them.

“Good morning, Lord Fredrick. Good morning Lady Aurora.” Felicia greeted Derrick’s parents, bowing her head as a sign of respect.

“Morning, Felicia.” Both Lord Fredrick and lady Aurora replied.

“Good morning, Alpha Derrick.” Felicia bowed her head respectfully as she greeted Derrick.

She had a wide smile on her face, but her smile slowly washed off when she saw the angry look on Derrick’s face.

“Have your seat, Felicia, and let’s get the both of you engaged ASAP.” Lord Fredrick said with a grin, and Felicia smiled before sitting down beside Derrick.

“No fucking engagement will take place this morning!” Derrick said, angrily, and Lord Merrick chuckled before speaking.

“You don’t have a choice, son. It’s either the both of you get engaged this morning, or lose your title as the alpha king of Whitestone kingdom.”
