Pampered By My Mr. Lawyer (Benjamin and Madelyn)

Chapter 179 Unaccepted Family Tie

Chapter 179 Unaccepted Family Tie

Eleanor fixed Madelyn with a piercing stare.

Madelyn was wearing a chic green Chanel dress and looked vibrant.

Eleanor seethed with anger - how could Madelyn look so stunning and composed, and even win the

Young Outstanding Award with such poise as ever even after Ben had abandoned her?

Eleanor resolved that she would never let Madelyn have the last laugh!

Despite her inner turmoil, she softened her voice, "I heard that you're going to win an award and I came

today to give you a special gift to offer my congratulations!"

The secretary walked in with a tray of tea, and Madelyn calmly took a sip.

"Ms. Bennett, your kindness is not necessary. We have never had that kind of relationship," Madelyn

responded coolly.

Eleanor reached into her pocket and pulled out a blade, her eyes filled with madness.

"Let's spill some blood and make Ms. Green's day a little brighter!" she exclaimed.

Vivian rolled her eyes, unimpressed with Eleanor's show.

She couldn't help but remark, "If you're really set on dying, at least don't do it on someone else's

doorstep," she retorted. "By the way, Benjamin isn't here. We don't possess any rare blood to save you,

so please don't be reckless!"

Madelyn regarded Eleanor with a cool gaze.

Eleanor chuckled, "Ben wouldn't see me, so I had to track you down instead, Ms. Green. If I cut myself

and call the police, alleging that you hurt me, how do you think Ben will think about you?"

"I don't care what Ben thinks of me," Madelyn replied sharply. "But Ms. Bennett's life is precious, and

you shouldn't endanger it."

Deep down, Madelyn knew Eleanor was not truly prepared to die.

How could such a selfish person be willing to end their own life?

Eleanor was like a child throwing a tantrum, trying to reclaim the candy she had carelessly thrown

away. And she, Madelyn Green, was just a pawn in her emotional turmoil with Benjamin.

Eleanor smirked and sliced her wrist gently.

Then she proceeded to call William Bennett. "Daddy, Madelyn hurt me!" she cried, trying to mask the

glee in her voice. "Come quickly and save me! I'm bleeding heavily..."

In a calculated move, she also called 911, demanding that the police come and take Madelyn away.

This way, she hoped to smear Madelyn's reputation and ruin her chances of becoming the

"Outstanding Youth Award" winner.

William arrived promptly with several police officers.

Eleanor wasted no time throwing herself into his arms, sobbing uncontrollably. "Daddy, I just tried to

reconcile Madelyn and Ben's relationship, but she refused and sliced my wrist, trying to kill me!" she

cried, trying to paint herself as the innocent victim.

William held his daughter close, his face showing concern.

He turned to Madelyn and asked, "Is what Eleanor said true?"

Madelyn met his gaze with a mix of rage and frustration.

How could he believe Eleanor's lies over her?

It was painfully clear that in his heart, he believed Eleanor!

Madelyn couldn't help but feel like a fool, remembering not so long ago when William lay on the

ground, vomiting blood at her mother's grave, calling out the name "Madeline" as if his life all depended

on it.

His desperate features had even fooled her then.

But now, she realized that a dog's loyalty was more reliable than a man's love!

She lowered her gaze.

Thankfully, she had never planned on acknowledging William as her real father.

Otherwise, she would have got more humiliated!

Remaining stoic, Madelyn spoke again in an even tone, "Well, the evidence will tell the truth."

But Eleanor said softly: "The injuries on my hands are real, Ms. Green. I have no reason to frame you."

She put on a pitiful look and continued, "I even wanted to forgive you because of Ben, but Madelyn,

you took it too far. I know you've always hated me, but I never thought you'd want me dead!"

William spoke calmly: "Madelyn, I suggest you apologize to Eleanor. If not, we will pursue legal action!"

Vivian couldn't hold back her curses!

"Mr. Bennett, are you mentally ill? If there's a lunatic in your family, make sure she wouldn't go around

biting people. You might end up locking yourself up!"

She was sympathetic to the hidden story.

William Bennett!

He wasn't even worth a second thought compared to Mr. Green!

Unlike William, Mr. Green had taken care of Madelyn since she was young and never allowed her to

suffer any injustice.

Vivian couldn't help but reminisce about their college days. Whenever it rained, Mr. Green would come

to pick up Madelyn with an umbrella. Once, there was a deep puddle at the door, and that man in his

fifties even carried Madelyn on his back. Every girl in their class envied Madelyn for being cherished by

such a loving father!

Vivian was about to say more.

But Madelyn gently stopped her. "There's no need, Vivian."

She turned to the uncles and spoke confidently, "I have surveillance footage with audio. Today, Ms.

Bennett inexplicably cut her wrist and framed me, calling me a lunatic and a criminal. She accused me

of being both. Now, I provide evidence and formally charge Eleanor Bennett for defamation and

personal injury."

As Madelyn finished speaking, her secretary brought up the video for everyone to watch.

The uncles watched intently, and Eleanor's face went through a range of emotions.

"Madelyn, you're really cunning, you set me up!" she accused.

"Shut up!" William reprimanded her.

He was deeply hurt. He never thought Eleanor would do such a thing, and... frame Madelyn! She had

always been a fairly obedient child, but just a little bit willful!

William's gaze fell upon Madelyn as he feebly uttered, "Can we talk?"

Meanwhile, Eleanor, born with a silver spoon in her mouth, was used to having her way. "Dad, what's

there to talk about? Just give her some cash and ship her off like a beggar!"

Her callous words elicited a resounding slap across her face from her father.

This was the first time William had ever laid a hand on Eleanor!

"Eleanor, she's not a beggar! She's your own sister!" William implored, visibly upset.

Eleanor's face lost all color.

How could her father possibly know Madelyn's true identity?

She had made sure to destroy that letter...

The silence in the room was deafening.

Really? Did the renowned musician William Bennett, known for his impeccable reputation, have

another child?

Madelyn's voice was frozen as she addressed William, "What a ridiculous argument!"

She locked eyes with him and enunciated every word with precision, "My surname is Green. I am the

daughter of Samuel Green and Madeline Ryan, with no ties to Mr. Bennett!"

William's lips trembled uncontrollably.

He had never imagined that Madelyn would despise him to such an extent that she would refuse to

acknowledge him as her real father.

His trembling hands reached into his pocket and retrieved a document -a DNA test confirming the

biological relationship between William Bennett and Madelyn Green.

He choked up, "With this undeniable evidence, can you still refute our family ties?"

Madelyn took the paper from him.

She chuckled softly: "I finally understand why my mother chose to leave you, Mr. Bennett. While we

may share genes, there is no familial bond between us. Furthermore, as Eleanor's father, I hate you!

As for our relationships with Benjamin, have you cared about my loss when you plead for Eleanor?"

"Mr. Bennett, please do not disturb my mother's eternal rest. She had Samuel Green, and that was

enough. My father loved her unconditionally." Madelyn added.

Madelyn locked eyes with William, fierce and unwavering.

Then she ripped the test report into tiny fragments, just as her birth had nothing to do with William

Bennett, with only Samuel Green's tender care evident.

William stepped back and his face ashen.

He finally realized the insignificance of his presence in Madelyn's life.

He believed that uncovering the truth about Madelyn's birth would lead to a warm reconciliation with

Eleanor and forge unbreakable sisterly bonds.

But now his naive hopes had been shattered!

Madelyn's eyes fluttered closed, saying in a gentle but resolute voice, "Please ask Ms. Bennett to leave

with you, Mr. Bennett! Otherwise, I will not hesitate to take legal action against both of you. And please,

do take care of your daring daughter and make sure she doesn't cause any more trouble!"

"As for myself, I will always cherish the Green surname." She added. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org: ©.

Madelyn's heart pounded in her chest, and her emotional turmoil left her feeling dizzy.

Within just two weeks, so much dramatic experience drove her finally to succumb to

unconsciousness...
