Anthony tensed and narrowed his eyes at the pain in his chest, before responding in a hoarse voice, “I know I’m doing this wrong, but I’m trying. Don’t worry. I won’t bother you. Get some rest.” He then turned to leave.

She could stop herself from loving Anthony and accept that he was seeing another woman, but she could not let anything happen to him.
In the next instant, she opened her eyes and ran for the door to find Anthony standing by the road all alone.
There was not a soul or a car next to him and it was almost as though he existed alone in the darkness.
“Anthony!” She called out to him.
He jolted and turned around to find Anne standing in front of him in tears. “I will go back with you.”
He stared at her as his breath hitched and wrapped his arms around her waist, before burying his face into the crook of her neck.
Anne felt as though he was trying to blend into one with her, his reluctance to leave and the fact that he was dating Lucia-overwhelmed Anne’s mind, but she decided to look past. everything to prioritize Anthony’s safety for the time being.
“Let’s go now!” She let out a muffled voice with her face pressed against his chest.
Slightly taken by surprise, Anthony let her go and looked into her eyes. “There’s no hurry. Rest for a night before leaving.”
“I don’t need to rest. Besides, I can rest on the plane,” she insisted and took his hand. “Let’s go! Where’s your car?”
He studied the anxious look on her face and tightened his grip on her hand. “Okay.” He took out his phone and commanded, “Come over.”
A black car drove their way from afar and stopped right before them.
The car headed straight for the airport and as Anne watched the town vanish into the darkness, she decided to call Yuri as soon as she arrived at the airport.
Anne had thought that they were taking a normal flight, only to find out that Anthony had reserved the entire plane and they could board right away without having to go through.
security.
Anne excused herself to the bathroom to make a call, but Yuri did not pick up. She bit her lower lip and thought, ‘What’s going on? Why isn’t she picking up? Did she leave in such a hurry that she didn’t take her phone with her?”
After making three consecutive phone calls, Anne gave up with the hope that Yuri would call her back.
Not daring to stay too long in the bathroom, she went out and sat down on the couch. across from Anthony, noticing a glass of milk on the table that Anthony had poured for her.
“It’s warm. You will sleep better later,” he said.
Anne did not refuse and sipped on it, before pursing her lips. “Can we wait? I am going to call Yuri and convince her to come with me.”
“Sure.”
However, half an hour passed and Yuri had yet to return her phone calls.
‘Is Yuri trying to give us space by staying out there for the rest of the night?” Anne thought, her heart sinking into her stomach.
Just then, her phone rang. She had thought that it was from Yuri, but tensed immediately when she saw the number displayed on the screen.
