Chapter 48
Olivia was stunned. Her eyes widened; she didn’t dare to think Elisa would slap her in public and in Yan’s witness. She was embarrassed and furious at the same time, but she was already at a loss for words. She planned it all to make Yan jealous and anger Elisa more.
“I don’t know what you still want. You should be busy this time,” Elisa wondered.
“I cared for you and….”
Before Olivia could continue, Elisa interjected, “Concern for what? If there’s someone you need to be concerned with, then that’s your mother, who is imprisoned, and Dad, who is in the hospital, not me, who has nothing to do with your life!”
Olivia didn’t know how to respond to her.
“If
you
love Yan, then love him. I won’t stop you. Besides, I am married, but you’re not. You two are good to be with each other, Elisa added.
Silence surrounded them, and none dared to utter anything, not even Olivia, who was embarrassed with Yan after Elisa mentioned it.
“Olivia and I have nothing to do with each other. I cared more about you and no one else, not Olivia or any woman you can name,” Yan explained. “Only you, Elisa. I do love you.”
Olivia felt disheartened as if she had felt a dagger stab her heart. She thought, ‘How about me, Yan? You don’t love me at all? Do I have any chance to be your wife in the future?”
Meanwhile, Elisa shook her head and said, “No matter how many times you love me, I am already married, so shut up. Don’t chase a married woman.”
“A married woman? Come on; you married a person in a coma. It’s possible you can divorce him. What if he’ll die?” Yan wondered. “Everything is still possible to happen. I can wait until you can accept my love.”
“It is possible, but Elisa won’t divorce Robert. You still don’t have any chance to have her, so back off. John, who could not hold it anymore, joined the conversation. He didn’t like Yan’s obsession with Elisa even though she was married
“And who are you to tell me that?!” Yan asked out of furiousness, then looked at Elisa, asking. “Ah, I get it. Since your so–called husband is in a coma, did you choose to be with this old man instead of me? What for? Is it because he has a lot more money than me?!”
“How dare you!” Elisa yelled and slapped Yan in the face. “You have no right to insult me and Grandpa like that. You don’t know anything, yet you’re already accusing me.”
With that, Yan was astounded and couldn’t dare to think she could slap him.
Elisa trembled in anger, and the paper bag of gold bars fell on the ground, getting Olivia and Yan’s
attention.
Upon seeing what was inside, their eyes widened even more.
“Okay, I understand why you chose that old grandpa over Yan,” said Olivia, smirking. This is one of the reasons he didn’t look for you, Yan.”

Chapter 48-
Yan shook his head and understood everything now. He asked, “What’s happening to you to choose a rich old man? To buy you everything you want?”
“It’s not what you all think! Elisa roared and felt a bit tired explaining. “Remember the time your mother misunderstood me? Do you think I will choose you? Don’t be too stupid,”
Yan remembered it all again and sighed.
“Well, Mom was too furious that time. I am afraid you’ll be embarrassed, so I had to pull her away to talk,” Yan explained.
“Don’t tell me that. I know you are embarrassed with me, Elisa replied and laughed her ass out loud. “And if we’ll be together again, you’ll do the same thing. Do you think I’ll still choose you? No way! That’s why don’t overthink and blame someone. I don’t like to be with you at all, not because of someone!”
“Elisa…”
Yan was about to say something, but Elisa added something.
“One more thing. When were you when there was scattered news about me on the internet? You didn even dare talk to me, comfort me, and ask if I was fine, Elisa added, shaking her head.
Yan cleared his throat and replied, “I’m trying to explain it to my parents, to defend you against all the accusations, and try to find a way to stop it.”
“Well, let us say you wanted to help me at that time, but when Suelen hired men to kidnap me, you didn’t even show up,” Elisa said.
“I didn’t know anything about it!” Yan added.
“You didn’t know, then fine. Enough with that shit,” said Elisa, who had had enough of this. “I don’t want that kind of man who will only appear when everything is solved, but when I need him, he’s gone and nowhere to be found.”
Yan was about to explain his side but could not utter anything.
“Let’s end this. Don’t chase over me. Look for someone who deserves your love, not me,” said Elisa.
Elisa got the paper bag on the floor while John eyed angrily at Yan. He was thankful Elisa wouldn’t want to settle for such a man.
“I know you’re a talented young man. Where did you graduate from college again?” John asked out of curiosity.
“Harvard,” Yan replied confidently, aware that it hurt the old man’s ego. It was a prestigious university.
“Indeed, you’re in a prestigious university, but let me tell you this. A professor named Charles said knowledge has nothing to do with character. Please always remember that,” John explained and smirked. He said that calmly but would surely insult Yan.
With that, Yan was astounded. Ale understood what he meant. He clenched his fist secretly.
“Loving someone is okay, but chasing someone who is married is not,” added John.
“Shut up, old man! You know nothing! We grew up together. We’re childhood sweethearts!” Yan clarified.

“Yeah, but you’re not the one who became her husband, John said, wanting Yan to know the reality. “Also, you can tell I am Elisa’s sugar daddy. I know you both were thinking about it.”
“Who are you, then?” Yan asked out of confusion.
Elisa panicked. She didn’t want John to admit the truth to them. She went closer and whispered in his ear, “I don’t think you should tell them who you are. Let them continue to wander. We have nothing to do with them.”
“It is okay, Elisa. It’s better to tell them to stop them from accusing us,” said John.
Since he wanted to, Elisa only sighed.
John faced both Olivia and Yan and smiled at them.
“I am the grandfather of Elisa’s husband, whom you mentioned, who’s still in a coma. He’s now fully awake, explained John. “Please don’t worry about Elisa again. I am his grandpa now and will be able to protect her at all costs.”
Upon hearing that, Yan was astounded but felt the dagger stabbing his heart.
On the other hand, Olivia couldn’t dare to believe it. She hadn’t heard any news about Elisa’s husband being awake. She was somewhat embarrassed that the old man she believed was Elisa’s sugar daddy was the grandpa.
Olivia could conclude the Fisher family wasn’t just a typical family but a wealthy one, richer than the Barson family.
Olivia regretted it. She was supposed to be the woman Robert would marry, but since they were skeptical about them, they chose Elisa. Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.
“I lost, and this bitch won again!’ she thought.
“Let’s go,” John said, leading the way as they walked past them.
Elisa followed and dared not to look at them.
Only Yan and Olivia were left there, standing.
Olivia realized how she had messed up and created a conclusion based on what she had seen but not the facts. She even included Yan in it.
“Yan….”
“You’re disgusted. I don’t want to see you again,” Yan said and left without waiting for her to respond.
“Yan!” Olivia called and tried to catch up with him, but she had already lost sight of him.
She messed up. She lost the chance to have Yan as her love again.
