Chapter 255: Is He Crazy?

Chapter 255: Is He Crazy?

Benjamin raised his eyebrows and deliberately tried to provoke Joseph, “Yeah, our house.”

Joseph’s face turned gloomy, “Benjamin, did you forget something?”

Without waiting for Benjamin to answer Joseph’s question, Hayden glared at Joseph.

“I never ask you. Shut up now.”

After finishing her words, she looked at Eleanor, “You first … Eleanor. Tell me, why are you here?”

Eleanor pursed her lips aggrievedly. Her small hand pointed at Joseph who was opposite him, “Of course it’s because of him. He’s crazy. He even told godfather that he wants to marry me. I’m underage now.”

“Pfft,” Benjamin spewed out the water he had just drunk. He looked at Joseph in shock, “I knew you are perverted, but I didn’t know that you would be so crazy.”

Joseph frowned and he looked at the water stain on his sleeve. His eyes were full of warnings.

“Continue.” Hayden looked at Eleanor. Although she was surprised to hear her words, she had to let the little girl continue her words.

“Godfather asked him to marry Addison, and he quarreled with Godfather as he didn’t want to do so. Godfather said he must be married before the end of the year and whoever could be his bride. He pulled me who was standing at the door there and said he wanted to marry me. Don’t you guys think that he is crazy?”

Hearing Eleanor’s words, the two kids sitting side by side on the sofa both looked at Joseph as if they were looking at a psychopath. Stella looked at him with disgust while Noah looked at him with contempt.

Joseph coughed, “I just simply said that.” ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

“Did you simply say that you want to marry a thirteen-year-old girl? No wonder she would be scared by you and ran away from home.” Hayden rolled her eyes at him angrily and looked directly at Noah without waiting for him to explain.

“Then how about Noah? How come he’s here?”

Although Noah could speak some simple words now, he still could not speak a complete sentence often. He took out a drawing board and wrote down a line, “Daddy quarreled with great grandpa and he got kicked out.”

When Eleanor saw the line written by Noah, she scolded Joseph angrily, “You get what you deserve.”

Joseph glanced at her, and she immediately hid behind Benjamin, not daring to speak again.

After questioning Eleanor, Hayden finally knew what was going on.

The root cause that Joseph was kicked out of the family was that Joseph lied to Harrison that he had been together with Addison. As a result, Harrison was so excited to finalize a wedding date for them. Then only he confessed to Harrison that he didn’t want to marry Addison. After making Harrison irritated, Joseph was also angry and he simply said that he wanted to marry Eleanor.

“Why are you coming to my place when you quarreled with Harrison.”

Hayden glanced at Joseph, “I’ll at most keep my promise to cook dinner for Noah. Then you can leave.”

Joseph laid back on the sofa. He looked calm as if he had expected Hayden to say such words.

“Yes, but there is no place for me and Noah to stay tonight. It doesn’t matter for me to sleep on the street as I am an adult, but Noah is a child and he might have to be hospitalized tomorrow after being

blown by the cold wind for the whole night. Then, you might have to send his food to the hospital tomorrow."

“You…” Hayden looked at Joseph incredulously, “Your grandfather only kicked you out of the mansion. How can you have no other places to stay?”

Wasn’t it a joke that the richest man in Nanking came to find her and told her he was poor?

“I didn’t even bring my phone and wallet. I only have my car now.”

Joseph raised his eyebrows as if he didn’t care if Hayden wanted to believe him or not. He put his car key on the table and the shield logo on the key was glowing gold.

“Don’t act like you are poor,” Benjamin glared at Joseph, “The money you get if you sell your car will be enough for you to buy a single apartment.”

“If you can find an apartment which I can buy if I sell my car, I will give you twenty percent of commission. My requirements are very low. The apartment must not be less than two hundred square feet. It must have a living room and balcony, plus a bedroom with a private bathroom.”

“What’s wrong with him, Hayden. Look at him.” Benjamin glanced at Joseph with contempt, “Whoever let this spoilt son stay at his or her house will be a fool.”

Hayden smiled, “Benjamin, clean up your room tonight. He’ll sleep with you.”

“What?” Benjamin became angry on the spot, “Why, I don’t want to sleep with him.”

“I also don’t want,” Joseph said.

“If you don’t want, then go out and sleep in the underground. There are only three bedrooms in my house. Noah and Stella will sleep in one, I sleep in one, and there’s just one more left for you two.”

“Then let him sleep on the sofa.” Benjamin pointed at Joseph. “Isn’t there space on the sofa?”

Hayden said with a cold tone while glancing at Joseph, “I don’t want to be scared by the unknown creature in the living room when I get up in the middle of the night to drink water.”

She obviously didn’t want Joseph to sleep on the sofa.

After she decided who should sleep in which room, Eleanor said aggrievedly, “Then what about me?”

“Go back to the mansion.” Hayden looked at her, “If you don’t go home, later the housekeeper of the Beckham family may call the police. I don’t want police to come here in the middle of the night.”

“I don’t want to go back.”

Eleanor hugged Stella and didn’t let go of her. She hugged her as if she was grasping at straws, “If I go back, Joseph will marry me. I must protect my dignity. I don’t want to marry him.”

Hayden didn’t know how to explain to Eleanor that Joseph was just saying an excuse that he didn’t want to marry Addison, but she didn’t know what to do seeing Eleanor turning angry. Therefore, she told Joseph furiously, “Mr. Beckham, please deal with the problem that you created.”

Joseph looked at Eleanor and said briefly, “If you think it’s very dangerous to marry me. Then don’t you think it’s more dangerous to sleep here with me?”

His words sounded so sorrowful that even Hayden got goosebumps.

Eleanor looked like she was terrified. She cried badly and complained to Hayden, “There’s no justice. I’m your aunt. The housekeeper said you’re committing incest, incest!”

“You can go back after you finish crying. Otherwise, the housekeeper will come here. I must remind you that being caught and sent back home and going back by yourself are two different things.” Joseph

reminded her impatiently.

Eleanor immediately stopped crying...

“I will go back now.”

Eleanor sniffled and grabbed her school bag. She waved at the people in the house and glared at Joseph angrily. Then, she opened the door and left the house, leaving the people in the room dumbfounded.

Was this little girl suffered from some kind of mental illness that she was so dramatic?

With a ‘bang’ sound, the door was closed and the house turned completely quiet. Hayden looked at the four people on the sofa. She felt annoyed and said an excuse, “I’ll go cook first.”

Then she locked herself in the kitchen.

She knew exactly why Joseph came to her place. Even Harrison was very angry with his grandson, he wouldn’t let him not even have a place to live. However, she didn’t want to quarrel with Joseph anymore as she knew that he had said many excuses and looked like he was determined not to leave.

She wanted to take care of Noah and didn’t care if there’s someone else in the house. Therefore, she would consider Joseph as someone who accompanied Noah to her house.

She had a feeling that Joseph wouldn’t stay at her house for a long time.

As she was choosing ingredients to be cooked, the sliding door to the kitchen was opened with a sound and a tall figure came into the kitchen. The person closed the door afterwards.

“Addison had told you, right?”

Hayden heard Joseph’s voice from her back.

Her heart throbbed for a moment. The carrot she was peeling rolled into the sink with a ‘thud’ sound, making a splash.
