Purchased A Mr. Right

Chapter 1854

Chapter 1854

She Must Become Very Angry after She Turned around

Mrs. Holman was deeply attracted by the cheongsam, and she could not help but reach out her hand to touch it.

Ab by, who originally was quite sure that she would become the winner, became panic-stricken.

She stepped forward and tried to say something. "Mrs. Holman..."

Mrs. Holman had already taken the cheongsam from the hanger, and she caressed the Japanese- style natural silk with her fingers. The soft and comfortable tactile impression of the cheongsam made her look tenderer. "Sorry, I have decided to choose this one!"

Abby's face turned pale.

In the beginning, she was absolutely confident that she would be able to win this contest. As she was acquainted with Mrs. Holman, she had deliberately asked Mrs. Holman not to meet Tina halfway. She had made great efforts in order to defeat Tina.

But Abby had never expected that under such a perfect situation she still lost the contest because Tina had acquired an opportunity to meet Mrs. Holman's personal assistant and learn about the love story of Mrs. Holman.

Abby looked at the cheongsam designed by Tina and could not believe that her extremely-gorgeous evening dress would be defeated. She was extremely unwilling to accept the reality, but Mrs. Holman did not give Abby any chance to persuade her to change her mind. She had already walked into the locker room with Tina's cheongsam.

Abby's design work was indeed better than Tina's as far as the appearance was concerned.

But this contest had a special criterion of judgment. Mrs. Holman had set out the rules at the beginning that the design work she prefer would become the winner.

In the end, Mrs. Holman chose Tina's work.

The international activity had begun.

There were many wonderful shows and prize presentations at this grand event. Halfway through, Mrs. Holman stood up and went onto the stage to receive an award.

Under the dazzling limelight of the stage, Mrs. Holman slowly walked up to the stage in a purple cheongsam. Her appearance and temperament were a perfect demonstration of the elegance and beauty of an oriental woman.

The crescent-shaped sleeves befitted her graceful shoulder lines, while a row of pearls was used as the buttons, which extended from the left shoulder to the right side of the hemline. As Mrs. Holman moved forward, the Phoenix- dancing Chrysanthemum looked vivid and graceful.

Mrs. Holman was almost like a beautiful woman depicted in a painting, and the audience hold their breath as they were so dazzled and moved by her appearance and temperament.

Mrs. Holman took the trophy. After that, she made some polite remarks. Then, she paused for a while, and her originally-nonchalant expression became tenderer and more emotional, and her voice was warm and comfortable.

Mrs. Holman continued through the microphone, "In the end, I would also like to thank the apparel designer who made this dress for me tonight. When my husband was still alive, he once told me that he wished to see me standing on the stage and wearing a cheongsam to receive this award... This wish has been realized tonight. I believe that my husband could see me standing here from heaven. Thank you, everyone. Thank you so much!"

In a corner of the hall under the stage, Tina's figure was almost hidden amongst the staff members.

Upon hearing Mrs. Holman's words, a beautiful beam of light seemed to flash in her clear eyes.

Tina chose to design a cheongsam for the contest with Abby. In fact, this final choice of hers was relatively less competitive than the western-style evening dress chosen by Abby. To some extent, Tina's choice was relatively risky. However, she was very confident that the cheongsam would definitely impress Mrs. Holman because she was familiar with the latter's love story.

Now, the result had come out.

Susan was of a straightforward nature, and she was much more emotional than Tina. Now, Susan's face was full of smiles.

In the beginning, Susan was worried that Abby's design work would prevail, but it turned out that her worries were unnecessary. Tina was somebody who always added color to the dull routine of everyday life. Susan felt that it was very lucky for her to have such a business partner.

Susan glanced at Abby, who was still wearing a fake smile, and felt extremely happy.

She originally had a grudge against Abby, and their relationship had never been good. Now that Tina had defeated Abby, Susan not only felt proud for Tina, but also delighted to see Abby become the loser.

Susan said sarcastically, "Abby, thank you for letting Tina win!"

In the beginning of the contest, Abby often looked at Tina and Susan with contempt and arrogance, and she was absolutely confident that she would become the winner. Before the final judgment was made by Mrs. Holman, Abby had plotted a number of times to make trouble for Tina, yet all her efforts finally turned out to be a complete failure.

Abby barely controlled her convulsive eyebrows and tried to maintain a smile. "It's common for everybody to win or lose. I accept this result. Congratulations!"

Although Abby said so, where the lamplight could not reach, her fingernails left deep traces of scratch on the LV bag. It could be seen that she was indeed extremely angry.

Abby looked away from the stage and said, "I need to deal with something else. I have to go now!"

After saying that, she turned around and left gracefully.

Susan looked at Abby's back and laughed even more heartily. She complained to Tina, "Haha... Tina, believe it or not... She must become very angry after she turned around. She seemed to be smiling all the time, but her smiles are obviously hypocritical!"

Hearing that, Tina burst out laughing.

The enemies knew each other the best. Just as Susan said, when Abby came out of the elevator, her beautiful eyes were already full of flickering flames of hatred.

As soon as she walked through the lobby of the hotel, her mobile phone rang. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.

Abby took out the phone from her bag.

Seeing the caller's ID, an English name on the screen, she looked even more anxious.

In order to grab the project of Mrs. Holman from Mrs. Barron's hands, the name-brand company in which Abby was the brand ambassador had arranged for Abby to become one of the designing candidates by dint of the power of the capital. As a result, the company attached great importance to the contest result.

Abby hesitated for two seconds before picking it up.

The phone call was connected. Before Abby could speak, she heard a man scolding her in English in a very displeased tone. "Abby... You've messed up everything... The headquarters is very disappointed with you!"

Then, the phone was hung up abruptively.

Abby's face was stiffened and darkened, and her heart was full of anger.

The victory of the contest brought great joy to Tina.

Although Wilson almost had blind faith in Tina's capabilities in apparel design, and did not encourage her much before the final contest, he still had arranged a candlelight dinner in the evening. He brought Tina and Isla out to celebrate this victory.

The family of three returned home late at night.

Tina stood in front of the window and was a little distracted, although she was supposed to be the happiest person.

Wilson, who was responsible for coaxing Isla to go to sleep, came back from the bedroom and saw that Tina seemed to be reflecting upon something. He could not help touching her face and asked, "What's wrong?"

Tina replied, "Chairman Amery will be discharged from the hospital tomorrow!"

Wilson nodded. He also had heard this piece of news and planned to tell Tina before going to bed. "Well... This is a good thing. He has recovered much faster than we expected!"

Bill's operation of bone marrow transplant was very successful. Moreover, the success rate of the operation was very high, as Tina was his biological daughter, and therefore recovery of his health was a little faster than ordinary people's.

Even the doctors were all amazed by his recovery speed. It could be seen that Bill was really trying his best to recover.

Tina sighed softly and said as if she was in a dillema, "Just now, LIN sent me a message asking me to go to the Amery family's mansion tomorrow night. Before I was discharged from the hospital, I promised Chairman Amery that I would someday have dinner together with them after he is discharged..."

Tina was indeed a little regretful now that she had agreed with it so easily.

Wilson saw through what she was thinking about. He put his hand on Tina's shoulder and said with a smile, "If you feel any pressure, you can just decline their invitation!"

Tina shook her head. "But I have already promised him!"

It was really immoral for her to cancel her promise a day before the dinner.

Tina pursed her lips. In the end, she decided to go to the Amery family and fulfill her promise.
