Chapter 154
As Naomi entered the small, enclosed space, the overbearing intensity looming over her got more intense. It felt harder to breathe as if the air became thinner.
She could sense that something was off with Scott. He never released her wrist, even when they had left the Sicily Pub.
Naomi opened her mouth and looked at Scott sitting next to her, though he looked straight ahead. The lights in the car were dim, but his gaze was darker.
He was terrifying.
Naomi could sense that he was in a foul mood for whatever reason she did not know. Well, she did not want to know, either.
She moved her hand, trying to get out of his clutch. The moment she moved, however, he gripped even tighter. That hurt her.
She looked at him with furrowed brows. She could not understand what on earth he was thinking about, but they could not stay this way.
She tried to shrug him off again, but his grip only tightened.
She frowned at Scott and called out his name gently. Despite her tone, however, she sounded emotionless as if nothing happened at all that night.
Scott's gaze darkened even more. He gripped her slender wrist even tighter to the point that it felt like he was crushing her. It hurt more than usual. Naomi pursed her lips.
This time, she silently looked at him, trying to figure out what was angering him. Alas, nothing came up.
Thus, she asked once more in an even gentler voice, "Did something happen?"
She could not fight with him in strength, so she had to go soft. Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.
The moment she posed her question, however, the temperature in the car dropped even lower. It was so cold that she shuddered.
Naomi closed her mouth and stopped talking.
He was in a mood and would not listen to anything that she said. If that was the case, she was not going to say anything. She was going to let him calm down for a while.
The car cruised in pin-drop silence.
Technically speaking, this should have smoothed things out. It did not become better. The silence was quite terrifying.
Naomi could sense his grip tightening. It was extremely uncomfortable. She said nothing about it and merely took it in.
All she needed to do was to reach the hotel.
The journey from Sicily Pub to the hotel was about 20 minutes long.
Those were, frankly speaking, the longest 20 minutes of her life.
Fortunately, they finally arrived at the hotel. Looking at the bright lights of the hotel, Naomi secretly sighed in relief.
She was about to open the door and get out of the car when Scott yanked her out of the car.
