Chapter 75
Chapter 75
Juliet didn’t want Mikayla to be concerned about it, so she briefly explained that Xavier had beaten Huxley up and advised her to be mentally prepared in advance. She could sense that Mikayla was going to get worried. After all, Logan’s family wasn’t easy to deal with. She could only hope that Logan wouldn’t make things difficult for Mikayla, Juliet scratched her hair in annoyance, musing. Tcan’t believe I have to deal with so many problems following the impulse. It looks like I’ll have to get Dad to settle in. Although Elvis made his point. Xavier is my brother. I can’t stand by and do nothing while he slowly learns his lesson in there! After closing the car door, she ignored Elvis, entered the mansion, and woke Gordon Klein up from his sleep.
Elvis watched her step into the Klein residence. He didn’t stop for long and said coldly, “Let’s go” He added inwardly, “What she does next is no longer my business.”
After hanging up, Mikayla was lost in thought. Carlos had just talked to Elvis on the phone and mentioned that Xavier had a conflict with someone. but she had no idea it was Huxley. In that case, she feared a dispute with the Logan family would break out
“What’s wrong!” Carlos asked. A black Ford stopped in front of the Salvatore manor,
“Nothing” Mikayla regained her composure from her daze and unfastened her seatbelt before opening the door, stating, “I’ll go in first”
Noticing her averting her gaze, Carlos swiftly removed his seatbelt and got out of the car before her. He approached her, tugged her arms, and pulled her into his arms
As Mikayla looked at Carlos up close, she noticed that the contours of his face were deep and clear. Every part of his face reflected his maturity and restraint. Slowly, she said, “Carlos, it was Huxley who Xavier beat up”
He was enamored with her attractive facial features, particularly her thick red lips, and he smiled softly and assured her. “You have me.”
His words caused Mikayla’s heart rate to soar.
Carlos gently lifted her chin and lightly brushed her delicate lips, then kissed her deeply. Their
eir lips intertwined, delivering some warmth and a taste of tobacco. Such intimacy, combined with a familiar scent, overwhelmed her nose. She instinctively responded to his kiss, and her heartbeat accelerated. He stroked her waist through the clothes. Under the dark sky, they were intimate with one another, creating a romantic atmosphere.
They stopped kissing and slowly regained their breath. There was passion in their eyes. His eyes, unlike hers, appeared dark and mysterious, making it difficult to see through. Only Carlos knew how difficult it was for him to control himself any longer, even though he was merely kissing her and inhaling the appraling fragrance on her body without actually touching her
“Mika, I’ll be back the day after tomorrow,” he rasped. He didn’t want to tell her that he was leaving, and just told her the time he would be back.
He noticed the sadness in her eyes and kissed her again. It was different than from the one just now, and was clearly more passionate. He, too, was very reluctant to leave. Unconsciously, he tightened his grip around her. He wanted to have her entirely. He kissed her harder, holding her hand and placing it on his chest. She felt his strong heartbeat on her palm through the clothing. “Mika. I love you,” he confessed.
Placing his forehead on hers and holding her flushed face, he noticed her lips had turned an appealing cherry red, and her gaze was lost and innocent. He couldn’t help but fall in love with her appealing looks now,
Mikayla responded, seeing herself reflected in his eyes, I’ll wait for you”
Meanwhile, Logan and Mildred rushed to the hospital after receiving a phone call. On the way, Mildred felt at a loss and contacted Winona
When Winona got the call, she was taking prenatal education for her unborn child while listening to soft music. After she learned Huxley had been taken to the hospital, she immediately changed her clothes and called Jaxon, who was having dinner outside, before rushing to People’s Hospital in

Logan.
Mildred, and Winona met up in the hospital lobby.
Winona was wearing a loose coat–her belly protruded a little. People couldn’t tell she was pregunt unless they looked very carefully. However, Mildred cared about Winona’s belly. After all, it was the key to marrying into the Lindstrom family at that time. She carefully held Winona and scolded her softly, Be careful. There’s still a Luby in your belly”
“All right. I’m being careful. How did Huxley get hurt? Winona was walking on stilettos on the hospital’s marble floor, making a clattering sound.
“The security personnel didn’t say much, except that he clashed with some people and got beaten up” Mildred’s eyes reddened, and she added, “Huxley’s usually so obedient. How could he clash with other people? I don’t even know how badly he was hammed.“.
On the way, Logan frowned, his expression reflecting a vague fury. ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

“Don’t overthink, Mom. We’ll know when we see Huxley Winona comforted as she pressed the elevator button. They entered the elevator and proceeded to the inpatient level.
Getting admitted to the inpatient level meant that a patient was severely injured. That made all three of them tense
They armed on the inpatient floor. The security personnel stationed outside the door were talking to a doctor. Noticing them, the doctor asked. “Are you three Huxley’s family?”
“We are.” Winona answered calmly
The middle–aged doctor with glasses looked at them, inquiring Which one of you will pay the feel”
“I will.” After notifying Logan and Mildred, Winona followed the middle–aged doctor to the payment area. On the way, she asked the doctor about Hurley’s condition.
“It’s pretty serious. His brain’s injured. For the time being, no major issues were discovered after the CT scan, although it’s preferable to stay in the hospital for observation. The middle–aged doctor adjusted his glasses as he read the medical examination report, continuing, “His hand was already injured, but he still got into a fight. Fortunately, that injury wasn’t severe, otherwise, his hand won’t heal so easily in the future.”
Having been a doctor for many years, he had always been straightforward and didn’t notice Winona’s displeasure. She took the receipt issued by the doctor and went to pay. Few people were there at night, so there was no need to line up. After paying the fees, she spent another 17,000 dollars for further charges. Then, she turned around and suddenly fell pain in her belly.
