Chapter 17

Burela, vena, Lance, Jared, Damien and Chloe. The last one showed up last minute and insisted to stay close to

Rivona was furious about those last two, who basically invited themselves.

She wanted to kick them out, but Aurora tugged at her sleeve gesturing her not to say anything.

“Why are you stopping me? We should totally tell them to fuck of!” Rivena hissed with a low voice while throwing angry glares at Damien and Chloe.

“Be cool, Rivena,” Aurora said lightly and adjusted the straps on her backpack. “Alpha Damien was right. The Great Waterfall is opened to the public. I can’t stop them from going there. They just happen to share a path with us.”

Rivena let out a frustrated sigh, “God Aurora…you are too nice sometimes.”

“I am not nice. I just didn’t care,” Aurora shrugged.

She looked over her shoulder to Damien and Chloe at the end of their team.

Chloe was the only one not dressed in sportswear today.

She was wearing a white dress and scandals. It was a stunning dress but seemed hardly appropriate for a hiking trip.

This was very typical Chloe.

Back at Silver Blade Pack, Chloe would often wear inappropriate shoes or clothes to hunting trips.

Then when her feet started to hurt, she would force Aurora to exchange shoes with her. Maids volunteered to give Chloe their shoes but Chloe insisted on having Aurora’s shoes.

Aurora couldn’t say no because Chloe was the love of Damien’s life and nobody would want Chloe to get hurt.

In the end, Aurora had to limp her way back home in those ill-fitting shoes, which often caused her feet to bleed for 2-3 days.

Thinking about those pasts, Aurora let out a snort internally and withdrew her eyes.

She wouldn’t give Chloe her shoes this time for sure.

Chapter 17

The group of them set off from the hotel and took a classic hiking route into the mountain.

30 minutes later, the breathtaking landscape of rolling mountains and dense woods gradually unfolded in front of them.

It happened to be summertime right now.

The mountains were alive with activity as wildlife buzzed and rustled amidst the leafy canopy.

The majestic trees, cloaked in verdant foliage, offered a cool refuge from the scorching sun.

Aurora was walking by Jared’s side the whole time, serving as his tour guide.

Now she pointed into the distance and said, “From here you can get a peek of the Great Waterfall already. Here is also a great spot to observe rainbow if the weather permits.”

Jared took in a deep breath and smiled, “Right. I can already smell water. It is so beautiful out here. There is nothing much to see in my pack besides desert and oasis. Can I stay in Ever Moon pack forever?”

Aurora let out a small giggle, “Then you will have to renounce your position as Alpha first. It is a large sacrifice.”

“Or…”

Lance chimed in and playfully winked at them, “You can mate with someone in Ever Moon Pack and therefore become a permanent member.”

Jared grinned, his light blue eyes t**g with joy.

“It sounds like a great plan,” he laughed.

A few steps back, Chloe was glaring at the three of them in burning jealousy.

Those idiotic men!

Cotting her teeth, Chion quickened her pace and caught up with them.

A deadly silence fell upon them.

Chloe covered her mouth with one hand and giggled, “Be careful with these rejected women Alpha Jared. From where I came from, we call them…damaged goods.”

Damien snapped his head up abruptly.

He glared at Chloe in disbelief as though he couldn’t believe such vicious words just came out of her mouth.

Rivena and Lance both seemed furious.

Rivena had already raised her hands and was ready to slap Chloe when-

Jared burst out laughing all of a sudden.

“Rejected, expelled, and then you are a Princess/G**a?” Jared cried out in awe, “Looks like no hardship in world can beat you down, Aurora! If anything, it only makes me like you more.”

“As for those who were s**d enough to reject you, I think he would live in regret for the rest of his life.”

Aurora started laughing with him.

Chloe’s face was twisted in rage.

She thought Jared would grow sick of her Aurora. To her surprise, he didn’t mind Aurora’s past at all.

Why didn’t things go as she planned!

A large hand grabbed her shoulder.

Jerking around, Chloe found Damien looking down at her with cold eyes.

“Stop saying things about me and Aurora.” his voice was low and intimidating. “Or I am sending you hom now!”

Without waiting for Chies to answer, Damien abandoned her and strode forward

The rest of the group turned around and found Chloe collapsed on the ground.

She was rubbing her ankle in tear.

“Who can you blame?” Rivena rolled her eyes. “You are wearing scandals. You are lucky you didn’t break your neck.”

“Yes…It is all my fault…I am sorry for being such a huge burden…”

Chloe cried desperately.

She wiped her tears and stole a peek at Aurora.

“I-I was wondering if G**a Aurora is willing to exchange shoes with me?” she asked in a pity voice. “We are about the same size…You are a strong G**a. Surely you don’t need hiking shoes to travel in the mountains…

Aurora folded her arms with a half-smile.

“So you blame your scandals?” Aurora asked.

Aurora strode over and ripped Chloe’s scandals off her feet.

Raising her arm, Aurora threw those scandals directly off the cliff.

Chloe screamed sharply and crawled to the edge of the cliff.

But her scandal was gone already.
