Chapter 24

The concierge was first intimidated by Aurora’s gaze.

But then he quickly remembered what Hellen said to him on the phone.

“Put her in the basement! That is where she belongs!” Hellen said sharply. “In Silver Blade Pack, she will always be a lowly **ve, a despised w**e! Let this be a reminder to her of what she truly is!”

This hotel was built by the Ravenwood family, so the concierge obeyed everything that Hellen said without

question.

Personally, he also wasn’t a big fan of this former Luna.

A few years back, he saw how Aurora kneeled down on the floor with a scrub. She seemed more demeaningJhan a

maid!

There was no way she deserved to stay in a fancy suite with the Alphas on the top floor.

“Yes. This is your room.” The concierge raised his chin and replied arrogantly, “If you don’t like it, you can go stay with the maids. Or camp in the wilderness. Both are fine with me.”

He cr**le*ora sneered internally and stepped into the room.

She turned on the light.

The dim light lid up this cramped space. The wallpaper was starting to peel off. The sheet had turned yellow and there were some disgusting stains left on it.

This was just like the room that she used to live in before marrying Damien.

Paul and Hellen hated her because of her quiet and dull personality. So they put her in a small utility room in the basement, next to the maid’s dorm.

Gradually, everyone in the Ravenwood’s residence forgot that she was the master’s daughter. People started to bully her around and give her heavy labors.

It wasn’t until she mated with Damien at 18 that she finally got a decent bedroom to her own.

Damien was cold to her, but he still rescued her out of the Ravenwood’s family. She was thankful of that.

She once swore to herself to always remain loyal and docile to Damien no matter what.

Aurora set her luggage down by the wall and sat down on the bed. The old mattress made a loud groan beneath.

Only this time Aurora wasn’t going to bend over.

Checking the time to make sure that this wasn’t bedtime yet, Aurora unpacked her bag, fetched her toiletry bag

and left the room.

She headed upstairs, all the way to the top floor.

Then she knocked on Lance’s door.

Nobody answered at first.

Aurora had to knock a few more times before hearing a m**d sound from the inside.

“Wait!” That was Lance’s voice, slightly out of breath.

A few seconds later, the door flew open.

Lance stood by the door with an irritated look on his face, as though he just got interrupted in the middle of

something.

“Oh, it is you.” his face softened a little when he saw Aurora. “What is the matter?”

Aurora stared at Lance suspiciously.

His shirt was half-open. His lips seemed watery and red.

Aurora knew what all these meant-he was messing around with someone.

“Who is in there?” Aurora asked, frowning.

She couldn’t believe that her brother h**ed up with somebody on their first day at Silver Blade! It could be someone that the Ravenwoods sent to seduce her brother!

Aurora was also afraid that Rivena would be heartbroken if she found out about this..

Rivena had a huge crush on her brother!

Aurora wanted to peek inside, but Lance blocked her view with his body, “Nobody. What do you need, Aurora?”

“-”

“Aurora!”

Another voice came from the inside.

Aurora widened her eyes as Rivena rushed to the door while buttoning her loosen top.

“Hey what are you doing here?” Rivena asked with a red face.

Aurora quickly put a hand over her mouth to stifle a laughter, “Nothing…Sorry! This seems like a bad time. I will talk to you guys tomorrow. Goodnight.”

She turned on her heels and was about to leave.

Yet Rivena grabbed her elbow. Her voice was quick and urgent as though she was trying to prove something, “No. wait! This is a perfect time! Nothing is happening in here! Just say what you need?”

Aurora looked at Lance, who rubbed his forehead and agreed with a sigh:

“Yes. Nothing happened. Is something wrong, Aurora?”

They were both acting weird. Aurora decided to find a good time to interrogate her best friend and brother.

“It is not a big deal,” Aurora said. “I simply want to borrow one of your bathrooms to freshen up.”

Rivena and Lance both looked perplexed.

“Our bathroom?” Lance asked, “What about yours?”

“Is the tap not working?” Rivena clenched her fist, “What is wrong with this f**g hotel? Let me have a word with

the manager!”

“I don’t have a bathroom,” Aurora shrugged.

A shock look appeared on their faces.

“What the “Rivena yelled, “All rooms should have a bathroom. Where on earth are you staying at?”

Aurora pulled her phone out and showed them a few pictures that she just took of her room.

Their faces became red with fury.

“I don’t know. They probably think I don’t deserve a decent room,” Aurora said, “Given…you know…my status in

“Your status-” Lance said in a freezing tone, “-is my G**a, my sister and their VIP guest! They should get on their knees to serve you.”

“These f**g jerks!” Rivena snapped. “I am calling the front desk now!”

Moments later, a few hotel staffs arrived at the scene.

Including the concierge who assigned the basement room to Aurora.

They exchanged an apprehensive look after learning about the situation. And a manger replied in a humble tone:

“We value all our guest’s opinions. The problem is…we don’t have enough room at the moment-”

“What the f**k?” Rivena stepped forward and grabbed his collar, crying, “There are a bunch of empty roomson this very floor. Do you think I am blind?!”

The manger was frightened, but he still feigned his calm and said, “Those empty rooms are all reserved to Alphas and officials from other packs…”

“And Aurora is not an official?”

Their quarrel attracted the attention of other people staying on this floor, all of which were Ever Moon Pack’s

members.

When they came out of their separate rooms and learnt about what happened, everyone was furious.

A group of large men plus Rivena circled around the manager and demanded for a solution.

“Wait!” the manager cried, “You don’t have the key-”

She was thrown out of the room by Rivena.

“You are s**t,” Rivena snorted.

Falling on the floor, Chloe snapped her head up and found Aurora gazing down at her, an icy smile on her lips.

Chloe expelled her from Silver Blade Pack and occupied her Luna’s suite.
